Rock, and roll, the VOTE!

How often does David ever promote or encourage a vote on any of polls that include him?

Rarely.  If ever!

So, when he tweets out the poll, well, you gotta listen.  And help out Go Getters!

David sang Up All Night at Wish while in the Philippines!  Here it is!

First of all.  Just WOW!  David comes alive in the second verse.  Brady’s vocals are awesome to bring it together.  And David uses his eyebrows expressively, did you notice that?  I hadn’t before!

Here is the link to the voting site.  Click below to go!

David’s category is 4th.

After pressing SELECT, then SUBMIT at the very bottom of the page

Pick an app to complete the vote and authorize the app.

You can vote once a day, but for some reason I was able to vote twice on Monday.  Try it!  Make sure you see a comment like this to know your vote was accepted.

Monday Motivation

David took a page, literally, from his Invincible Lyric Video to send out some inspirational words.  Very clever and a great lyric too!

If you have a quote you want to share with us, we are listening.  Send it to us at fodfrontpage@gmail.com.  We’d love to hear from you!

David has a #MovieMonday

Nice to “see” David out and about in Nashville.  He was blown away by The Greatest Showman, which featured incredible musical performances.

This Is Me just won a Golden Globe on Sunday!

THIS WILL GIVE YOU GOOSEBUMPS!  THIS WILL ELICIT TEARS!

The director talks of This is Me and Keala Settle.

Here is a trailer for the movie, have not seen it yet but this is now extra incentive not to wait for it to come out On Demand

Here are his tweets and instagram stories, and dialog with Melinda Doolittle 🙂

2017 was such a fantastic year to be a fan of David Archuleta’s.

A number of you were kind enough to send in some of the David highlights of 2017.  They are all different and meaningful for different reasons.  Sharing some today and also more during the week.

Linda

The best of 2017 for me was my amazing trip to Nashville to meet up with amazing Archie’s, some I knew, some I met for 1st time! The friendship I received from all!

Helping each other prepare for the luncheon, the laughs as 8 of us traveled in a van driven by our amazing driver Shelley Tonder!

The icing on the cake was the “David Archuleta concert” he was on fire & so we’re we! Thank you David & friends for an unforgettable time!

And I can’t believe I flew after 25 years!

Connie – a Tweet to Remember!

I was immediately captivated by David when I saw him on Idol singing WOTWTC and have been a devoted fan ever since.

I have tweeted endless times over the past 10 years and never got any inkling that he knew I existed. I was ok with that (he’s got a LOT of fans!).

Well, to my surprise, in 2017, out of the blue, David liked one of my tweets. WHAT???? He liked MY tweet?!!!! I was SO excited by this, I can’t even describe it. Well my family picked up on my David euphoria and for Christmas I got the attached black hoodie with the tweet and David’s “like” on the back. I love 2017 David 😍.

Early on in his tour this year David visited three venues in Oregon. This was very surprising, to me anyway. It was such a gift for him to visit us here.

This picture Kari posted of him at Crater Lake touched my heart. I was thrilled he was able to see it in all it’s splendor, especially because he said he always wanted to visit this gorgeous natural wonder and mentioned it at the VIP Q&A session in Bend, Oregon.

You can just tell he feel’s the awesome spirit of the One who created this:) I gain SO much from David sharing his travels on twitter and instagram, and he is so generous to do it. This especially touched me.

Thank you, David!

The most meaningful things about David that stick in my mind for 2017 was being able to sit front row for his amazing concert performance in Franklin, TN and also listening to the amazing Postcards in the Sky album.

I love every song for different reasons and they have lifted and inspired me during some of my darkest moments. Seeing David look so confident and happy in 2017 has been a joy to witness!

My Journey on the Archuleta Express

2017 was absolutely fantastic!! I hopped back on the Archuleta Express in November 2016.

My two youngest daughters, Jen and Heather, and I watched AI Season 7 all the way through. We even took a road trip to New Hampshire to attend the AI concert in Sept. 2008.  I am not sure how it came about but I discovered David was getting ready to release a new song.  What? David! Oh my goodness.

The song was Numb. It had a completely different meaning for me than the reason it was written but I began to discover that I had been numb for quite some time. I had not dealt with some traumatic things in my life and this song started bringing those things I had buried to the surface.

I started researching and seeing what David had been doing over the last few years. I learned of his mission, read his book, started following Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, and looking into the LDS church. I started meeting fans, following them on social media and some followed me back.

One discovery was a fellow Archie from Maine (another story in itself). Nancy @muldur sent me a message saying that David would be presenting at Time Out for Women in Worcester MA in September 2017. I stated I had already bought tickets.  We made plans to meet at the event. I also met Donna @djhsail, Kristin @wordsfrommysoul and Vidya @veebee.  This was my first experience seeing David solo.  Listening to his testimony and songs were so inspiring.  We were able to meet him after the event.  The girls (as I affectionately call Jen and Heather) and I were near the end of the line.

They were getting us through pretty quickly. I watched as Kristin and Vidya had their turn. So cute.  Then Jen went and said a couple words, and then Heather who commented that she was a fellow lefty and asked if “his hand was getting tired?” “No”, he said. Then I was next.

So funny to feel excited and shy with someone half my age who has no idea what an impact he has had on the last few months of my life.  I walked up saying it was nice to meet him, never saying my name, and told him that although he wouldn’t see me (to which he looked at me funny), but I would be seeing him in Nashville.

He seemed surprised and delighted and then said that “it gets cold in Nashville.”  I replied, “Oh? How cold? I am from Maine so if it’s 60 that’s warm.” David said “we have ice storms!” to which one of the volunteers chuckled and said “not like Maine.”  David then said that he knew someone from Maine (while this conversation is happening, I am feeling compelled to move because the next gal is coming in but yet didn’t want to be rude as David kept the conversation going). “Molly Bouchard. She was on Star Search with me. If you see her, tell her David said hi.”

I told David I would definitely say hi if I were to see her. (I actually did contact Molly via Facebook and she was delighted that David said hello.)  David then went on to say he had seen videos where, “on cold days you take water and throw it into the air and it freezes.” I said that “Yes. People have done that.” (A goal I have set to try) I was thinking, how random, to come up with these thoughts and how knowledgeable he is.  Like who would think of that while signing autographs?

In August, David announced his tour dates! Oh boy!! Pennsylvania or Nashville? The struggle was real.  I asked my husband what he thought about taking a quick trip to Nashville in November. He looked at me and said “OK.”  I was like what?  OK!! Nashville was a dream!

It was surreal meeting so many people that I had only seen via Twitter, IG or FB. What a trip, what a fan lunch and what a concert! The fan lunch was so much fun!  My husband, Rich, was a lucky winner of a calendar and Archie ornament which was displayed quite proudly on my tree along with the ones made and given by Shelley and her daughter. Meeting Desmond, Jay, Chad and Brady was amazing.  Amber and Emily are two of the sweetest people.

I think running the merchandise table would be so much fun! You would have opportunity to meet so many people. I would love to do that! The concert. David was on point. I was hypnotized, so mesmerized that…oh sorry. I felt like a school girl waving my arms in the air with my lighted bracelets. But I was in good company. This young man was giving it his all.   I was chatting with Amber about it being my first concert and Amber said that it was probably the best one David had given.  I had such a great time chatting with Desmond after the concert. He is so sociable, kind and willing to chat and answer questions. I definitely have a little fan crush on this fellow!  I was given a drumstick and set list from Jay, as well as, pictures taken with each band member.

Words cannot describe how much I appreciate David’s music and testimony. I relate to most of the songs on his new album and have even used them to help me stand up for myself.  I am on a journey and I feel so blessed to have the music of DA to help me along the way—even though he is unaware the part he, and his music, has played. It is definitely Glorious!

There are more fabulous memories from fans to come!  Will post them within the next days!  If you have anything you’d like to share, please forward to fodfrontpage@gmail.com.

Thank you Linda, Connie, Jana, Diane and Kelly!

Loved David’s “Wish” performance of “Up All Night”. PLEASE let him win.
This was a lovely post. The kind words others have written about David and their feelings about him so well expressed what I feel as well. David can be such a “kid”, younger than his years, and yet be so unbelievably wise for one so young. I find him to be absolutely awe inspiring and can’t believe that the whole world hasn’t picked up on that. I can’t help but wonder just where life and God will lead him. I just know I’ll follow.

  3. Never Say says:

A handsome, very talented guy! I can see he’s worked very this career! Good luck in future David!

What a great post. I love all the fans that were highlighted with their special memories of David in 2017. David may not have the popularity that he had when he had a major label, but he still is touching people through his music. If he ever covers “This is Me” we will all be dead. What a song and it’s the kind of message song that David loves.
