Getting Pumped to Grace!
— David Archuleta (@DavidArchie) December 5, 2017
Am I the only one who doesn’t know who Grace VanderWaal is? Comes home from work or the gym and leaves the TV off? Probably lol. Anyway, she is the uber talented winner of American’s Got Talent in 2016. David is getting pumped!
Now that I saw this vid below I do remember her and how much she reminded me of Taylor Swift back then. Sadly, I did not put 2 and 2 together!
Enjoy this from grace too!
Video? What Video?
David mentioned at a VIP that he would be shooting a Postcards in the Sky track music video at some point. Perhaps today is the day!
But first, the prep!
What video to you think it is? Take our poll! And does David’s closing shot help you?
That's a wrap! Just finished filming a music video for you guys… 🎶 Can't give away too much yet. Stay tuned. pic.twitter.com/EAL3CVTXbR

David is home in Nashville, and he has a nasty ant problem. Or I should say #ant problem. So his neighbour is there to help!
I can imagine it’s hard for David to get to know his neighbours since he’s not at his home due to his job, but on Monday, looks like he was able to chat.
Just met one of my neighbors for the first time after living here for a couple of years in Tennessee. She was outside fixing an ant problem, which I had just left the house trying to cleanup an ant problem myself. She was so nice and gave me this entire pack for ant removal. 🐜😂 though neither of us are home often I'm glad we ran into each other. She had a sign outside that says "Jesus is the reason for the season" and said if I ever need her to pray for anything to just let her know. It's worth saying hello to a neighbor. Have any of you gotten to meet a new neighbor today? Or maybe a neighbor you haven't spoken to in a while? If not then don't be afraid to say hello! You never know if it gives you a chance to help or to be helped out. #lighttheworld #christmas #ants

About Jonathan McReynolds
David tweeted a note of appreciated to John McReynolds yesterday. I so love that David is incredibly generous and honest with his compliments, always genuine and heartfelt.
@jonmcreynolds I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for your music brother. It really touches me. I've got your 2 Life Music albums and they bless my life. God continue to bless you in what you do. 🙏🏼

And Jon responded
Honored man! #GloryUp

I am not very familiar with gospel music, so I did not know who Jonathan was. Here’s his twitter profile
From WIKI, Jonathan’s music career got started in 2012, with the release of Life Music on September 25, 2012, by Light Records and Entertainment One Music. It was his breakthrough released on the Billboard charts, and it placed at No. 98 on Billboard 200 along with Gospel Albums at No. 3, and at No. 23 on the Independent Albums chart. He is a GMA Dove Award and Stellar Award nominee. India Arie claims that she is a fan of his music (and now David Archuleta!) He is a 2016 Grammy Award Nominee for Best Gospel Album.
Listen to Pressure. Wow! David is a fan of many musical genres, but gospel music is an areas where he has been recently taking even more interest. We’ll see how that plays into his future projects.
More from Peru!
So, what did you all think of David’s time this weekend in Peru? I hope all of you read all the goodness that Kalei laid out for you last week; she gathered up EVERYTHING, except what popped up after the Saturday post (added below).
From the orphanage, from Mormon Life Hacker. These are just too endearing.
Regarding the venue, from a fan who lives in Peru, the venue was quite a distance from Lima which meant a commuting challenge for some fans. Perhaps this was the reason to attempt to change the location? No idea but it didn’t phase David at all.
I know it can be said that every single concert is great for a number of reasons, everyone is special, but in Peru, David pulled out the stops. I loved everything about the concert, but the Peruvian waltz, La Flor de la Canela was such a gesture of generosity, of understanding, of LOVE. When David performs, he is ALL IN.
From Pattie, a Peruvian native now living in Toronto #yeah , providing more background about the song …

David Archuleta TVPeru Interview, translated!
Many thanks to DavidArchuleta Peru for the translation to this interview!
We’re back. This is “A mi manera” and I’m with David Archuleta.
He’s american, pop singer and he has a lot of fans.
It is the first time that he comes to Peru but I imagine that he’s surprised by the amount of fans he has here in Peru! How are you?
D: *laughs* yes, i’m good, thanks.
P: Did you know that you had a lot of fans here?
D: You know… no.. *laugh* I didn’t know!
P: but you chose Peru to start you latin american tour for a reason
D: Yes…first, it was for the invitation to come and it is a pleasure. It is my first concert in latin america.
The welcome was very pretty, everyone was there at the airport at 1 am. It was very nice. Thanks to the people who were there!
P: They know your songs and they know about you, and i guess you didn’t expected that.
P: You sing since you’re a kid, right?
D: yes..well, i didn’t start a singer… i liked to sing since i’m 6 and at 12, 13 I started to participate in shows until i had a problem with my voice, i had a paralyzed vocal cord and it was hard for me to sing and even speak or breath.
I thought “well, this is the end of my career” *laughs* but I had therapy for 2 years and my voice learned how to work.
P: Yeah? Was it before American Idol?
D: It was during that time…I was going to the doctor and he said: I don’t know how this happened, this is really a miracle. He said: “God is with you” and I wanted to meditate about that. There is a reason why God want me to continue on this when I though that it was the end, but no…and here I am.
P: That it’s very curious, because you’re very religious, you’re a missionary, you serve in Chile and… in other places too?
D: Yes, well.. I served in Chile for two years and I took a break on my career because I started in 2008 with American Idol and then I took that break in 2012. I didn’t focus on my career, it was all about serving, teaching others about Jesus Christ, the church and it was incredible because it gave me another perspective: singing to millions and millions of people and later being there in the streets serving, knocking doors, singing in houses.
P: it is like coming down to earth.
D: yeees… but it was more like feel elevated because i felt empty before. it was a lot of adrenaline being there on stage, in American Idol, then with the first album…
P: because you surprised there, the tv show was important for your career…
D: Very important
P: And you still left everything
D: Well, after releasing two pop album and one christmas album I took that break because i felt empty and there was something missing and i didn’t know what it was. Everyone around me said: “this is your moment, you’ll never feel happier than in this moment…
P: You have it all, the fame, everything as if it was all that matters.
D: Yes!! and in that moment, i learned that it wasn’t. I had friends that also felt empty trying to fill that space with money, girls or whatever and I thought: well, maybe it is a spiritual thing. And well, now i wanted to share this.. *holds the album*
P: Postcards In the Sky
D: it is this new perspective, the before an after *holds the album* Postcards in the sky, which means “postales en el cielo” because i want people to look up and also to look inside themselves to find their real purpose and potential. And there are a lot of time when i didn’t feel enough or that I don’t have a voice. Many people told me: “shut up and sing, because what you said is very inmmature, you don’t understand how life works” but i learned in my mission that what I feel and what I have to say really matters and I wanted to help and encourage others in that position.
P: And these are song that are not necessarily religious but they a message.
D: yes, exactly.
-D sings La flor de la Canela & Numb-
P: Bravo, Congratulations! Tomorrow, you’re singing your new songs.. from this album?
D: Yes, from this album and the old ones too.
P: How many albums do you have?
D: I think that… 6.
P: Really? How old are you?
D: Oh I’m 26… and yeah, the next project that I’m working on is a latino project, i’m writing in Spanish and the person who I’m working with on this project is married with a peruvian.
P: Oh… that’s why you know La Flor de la Canela.
D: *laughs* a little bit.. yeah.
P: And will you sing La Flor de la Canela tomorrow?
D: Oh *laughs* let’s see…
P: It’s a surprise, ok, have you been listening to peruvian music?
D: Yes.. a little bit.
P: and the people who want to search for your music on internet, where do they find it?
D: Oh, on amazon, spotify, iTunes…everywhere. And on my social media too as davidarchie
P: Do they call you “David” or “Dah-veed”?
D: Oh David, “Dah-veed”, my family uses both.
P: Great, good luck!
D: Oh, thank you, Patricia.
