David Shares André’s Inspiration
David shared a quote yesterday morning from the famous French author and past Nobel Literature Prize Winner André Gide.
~and to which he added~
I really like this quote and like the way it ties together with a theme he shared on Instagram on New Year’s Eve about what life has to offer and looking ahead to the future:
“Now with a new year ahead, new goals come with it. Life has so much to offer, and the simple and small things we commit to make huge impacts on who we become. It’s amazing how much we influence the outcome of who we are. I am excited for the future! “
Whether or not it was a quote that he came across and decided to share, or whether it was one that holds a personal significance for him, I like it’s message, as did many fans who offered back similar quote/messages. 🙂
Anyway, following David’s tweet, it was nice to read through the many thoughtful and respectful responses yesterday in comments, and we’re happy that we can continue to provide a place for these discussions where (we) fans can gather, ask questions, support one another, and share. ♥ 🙂

An “Áccent” Instructional!
Raise your hand if you have ever wondered how David get’s that nifty little “accent” appropriately above foreign language words i.e. André’s name yesterday in his tweets. I shamefully just copy and paste words with an accent when needed as I have had no clue how they can otherwise be made to appear. 😉
Last evening, I received a quick instructional from Tina who I deeply lurrrve and who is a wealth of information! Soooo if you’re interested, read our exchange below. 🙂
And to add accents and symbols used (especially) in foreign languages, you can go to http://www.irvingisd.net/districtweekly/flyers/typing_in_spanish.htm and bookmark the page for future reference! Martha caught on very quickly! 🙂
Anywhooooooo, that’s today’s little lesson for ya on a slow news morning ! I always appreciate social media tutelage and thought I’d pass it on. 🙂

Road Trip Revelation: CD tracks “Most Played” on my iTunes
This past weekend I was on a L O N G road trip with my family as we traveled out to Pennsylvania to see one of our daughters at college and watch her play hockey. I spent a good amount of time on my iTunes and iPod listening to David Archuleta’s music. His music never disappoints and always brings me back to great memories of posts, pics, interviews, anticipation, videos, tweets, snippets, releases, promos, trips, concerts, friends and so much more!
When is the last time you checked to see which songs from David’s specific cds are played the most on your iTunes? We have a family iTunes account so my “plays” are always combined with the entire family’s plays and I loved learning this past weekend which songs from each cd came out on top. For today’s music selections, I’ll share each (current) #1 from each cd. in a little playlist for you. Enjoy! (On David’s red cd there was a tie for 1st place so there are 2 songs.)
RED CD: Crush and Barriers
CFTH: Ave Maria
TOSOD: Parachutes and Airplanes (tied) with Good Place
GCT: Silent Night (Cat and Mouse carol was a close 2nd)
Forevermore: Forevermore (a clear #1)
BEGIN. : Broken
No Matter How Far: Nothing Else Better To Do with HFO closely behind
How does this compare to your “most played” songs for each cd? I’d be interested in hearing what yours are. Are our lists similar? completely different? If you’d like, check out your own iTunes and let me know in comments. 🙂

A Closing Couple “Shared” Thoughts
I mentioned earlier in the post how much I (we MODs) appreciate your shared thoughtful questions and comments. We’re all in this together and we’re here on this fansite not only to continue to support and celebrate the artistry and person of David Archuleta, but also to celebrate and support each other. It’s what a “fan family” does, right?
As we forge into 2015 and await to hear the new music David has been working on, we may feel, or hear about a myriad of emotions expressed as caring and loyal fans. I’m choosing to share a few comments in ending this post today that I found “I” connected with especially in the way I feel. I’ll not include their names on the front page, but I do want to say “thank you” to them (and to all of you) for sharing.
