hi u guys! beth~ was just watching the weather channel and up here we will have windchills of -50 on monday! omg can u even believe that?! it also said not to venture out as one could get frostbite within 5 minutes!!
so now i’m gonna have to go to the store today. good thing tomorrow is MLK day, lots of schools closed. kids cannot be standing outside waiting for a bus in those kind of temps!

Pondering…I think that is something many if not all David fans have been doing since Day one of our fandom. Pondering with stars in our eye what his career would be like right after Idol, and now five years later…pondering what it will be like when he returns after a two year hiatus. We’ve pondered over the right way to express our fandom, our respect, our love of his voice…and many times doing so with criticism from others. One thing is certain…he is well worth the pondering!
tami/Beth-yikes and I was going to complain about the 26 degree temps that are coming my way. That sounds balmy compared to what you guys will have. Stay warm and stay inside when possible! My dad lived in Northern MN (Bemidji) when he would write about wind chill factors of -70 it was hard for me to fathom it being that cold. Made me shudder just thinking about it!

Just read a story about the statues of Kent Hrbek, Tony Olivia & Rod Carew, former MN Twins Greats, outside Target Field where the Twins play, are going to get sweaters & hats, lol, knitted by local knitters, with a TwinsFest13 logo on them, promoting the event coming up. Perfect timing since the temps are going well below zero. So cold, even statues need sweaters & hats,lol
The knitters are also donating yarn & their time to teach those who want to learn, at the boys & girls clubs of America. I think even the squirrels & birds still hanging around town wear sweaters & hats

I have been glued to my computer, watching Nandito Ako for 3 1/2 hours today! Seems like it’s been so long since I’ve really sat down to watch it. David surely did a marvelous job! One of my favorite scenes has always been when he puts Uncle Stevil in his place. David brought so much emotion to that scene. There’s just so many scenes I just love, and the humor brought such a nice sense of relief from all the seriousness. It was a very well made miniseries! Oh, the memories from a year ago!!

Tami Lynn I have gone to a lot of showers where I know the bride, but I don’t know the person giving the shower. Bridal showers are usually not given by the immediate family in the family home. I think they are usually given by good friends or aunts or cousins. Maybe David was the entertainment. If the two houses were in the same block and he saw women going in with presents, I guess it was an honest mistake. Sure was a nice surprise for the ladies at the shower.

Tami Lyn: That’s so funny that David ended up at the wrong house but what a surprise for the bride! That blog is dated 11/11/11 which I believe is the date David’s sister, Claudia, got married. I can understand how it happened if he wasn’t familiar with the house he was going to for a party. It could have been a party thrown by the groom’s family or friends. I just listened to David’s performance of “When You Believe” again. I remember when I heard him sing this on AI, and had butterflies in my stomach! My goodness, was his voice gorgeous, and sang this to perfection, NEVER off key!! It blows me away even now after all this time. A co-worker of mine, who actually really wanted Cookie to win that season, said to me after hearing him sing this, “That young David, he is really something!” He sure was, and just keeps getting better and better!!!

sgj~ yeah same here. the girls go to the bridal shower and the guys have stag parties. maybe it’s some new modern thing i haven’t heard of yet. being in northern minnesota i’m sure i am way behind the times lol! or maybe david was singing? must have been the most exciting bridal shower ever!

Linda- I clicked on the EBlog link from the top FOD post then I clicked on a link in pink underneath the list of the names . It’s there before the comments. Well on the right side of the poll there is a chat. That’s where I saw what they were saying. Didn’t comprehend it all but saw YT and FB. Some are from Mexico.
