Good morning fans of David! My ODD is in overdrive today! Been watching soooo many vids from the early days to the Chili concert this week. I have been mesmerized all over again and want to shout it from the rooftops, do a happy dance, stop people in the streets and tell them about this incredible, talented, beautiful young man who has touched my heart, and who makes me want to do my part to be better and make the world a better place! Maybe it’s a good thing I haven’t seen @DavidArchie live yet, because I’d probably spend the rest of my life being upset that it ended.
I saw the Les Mis movie this week and it left me crying and speechless! LOVED IT!!! The actors and actresses actually cried real tears while still managing to sing. I don’t know how they did it, but wow oh wow. Les Mis is SO SAD but still uplifting somehow. In my experience, sad songs can still be uplifting (e.g. Broken, Prayer of the Children). Music can take you to so many places emotionally, it’s unreal. David clearly gets that, which is why I love his music so much.
Having never read the book or seen the musical on stage, I watched the 10th Anniversary Concert to prep for the movie so I would be able to follow the storyline. This is what David was fascinated by as a 6-year-old which initially inspired him to sing. I am amazed that it was this particular musical that started it all, even though David didn’t know the deeper meaning of the story at the time. It just shows what great performances can do for people. I wonder if David is interested in seeing the Les Mis movie when he returns. If anyone hasn’t seen it yet but wants to in the future, have tissues nearby because you WILL need them.
Has anyone else here seen Les Mis? What are your thoughts?

Well, a little stress off my back. One of the Girl Scout events for this evening I was in charge of is cancelled because the offices are closed due to bad weather. Here in Pleasant Grove isn’t bad, but better to be safe with people’s lifes not to drive on the slick roads I guess. Salt Lake county where David’s family is from and Davis county (North of Salt Lake) got dumped on and even had school closures. Not as bad in parts of Utah county where I live.

Kmb I saw Les Mis right after Christmas with my grandson, I thought it was wonderful. I saw it on stage here in Boston a few years back, so knew what it was about, loved it then also, the music was so wonderful, and yes they did a great job, my grandson who is 20, also loved it, it was very sad, but the name would tell you that. Glad you enjoyed it, I would recommend it to anybody.

So its seems as though LadyV has taken over the role of torture queen…I really do think the word “Soon” should be removed from the dictionary! My soon is evidently not the same as everyone elses soon. Mine means like yesterday…not 2 months from now!!
Been trying to dust myself off from my daughters surprise that she dropped on us last week. We knew she was going back to china “Soon” to adopt a second child, what we didn’t know until the other day is that she will be bringing TWO children home! A boy 9 which we knew, about and a girl 6 which we didn’t. Hubby and I were speechless! While we are happy that she has such a loving heart, we have no clue how they will manage 8 people on one paycheck. So needless to say it took me a few days to get over the shock of adopting three children in a two year span. So in three weeks we will be welcoming Grandchildren numbers 10 & 11. Oh boy….and oh girl…

Hi- OH MY Gosh, Just finished watching David From Spain’s AI videos. What a great bunch of singers on Season 7. Wiping tears from my eyes. They should have went out to the world as a group. I feel like I was at a private concert tonight already. David looked and sounded great. A little dancing and grooving,too.

Linda – Yeah that was taken on set of Nandito Ako, the day of the concert scene. They made a big deal about no one having phones or cameras on them for the shooting because they knew there were tons of fans there to play the concert-goers. I do hope that Kari still posts her vid. The girl who tweeted it probably had no idea it wasn’t supposed to be taken. I just wish it hadn’t been posted on YT at all because I really wanna see the good one lol.
Not sure if I’ll make the concert tonight as I have to be up early tomorrow. I really enjoyed it last time though! I hope everyone who is going tonight has a blast!!
