Snow Daze
Here in Minnesota, we’ve had a lovely warm few days with temps in the 20′s (Fahrenheit yup, and yes that’s pretty mild for January.) Cold air is moving in this weekend with more snow soon to follow, so today, I’m revisiting a fun snowy Utah January 2011 vlog from David.
In this particular vlog, David gave us a nice little tour of his snowy backyard, talked about snowboarding for the 1st time, inspired us to try it, showed us a cool icicle, inspired us to try a new restaurant and talk with the owners (which we did), and he even introduced us to Katsu, a “slinky”cat!
Oh how I miss getting these vlogs from David and how I look forward to once again hearing him say, “Hi guys, it’s David here” when he returns in 2014!!! During 2013, however, I’ll savor revisiting every one of these treasured David Archuleta vlogs from the past!!

Hello sarahhazel, breanne, jackryan and Ali! Working on the VOTE! Hurry 2/13!
This is what I spent 2 days trying to finish (finally did). I bought some Panda Express take-out boxes and altered them into badge boxes for my Girl Scouts. I covered the triangles on the side with patterned Girl Scout paper and the Panda image on the front and added their names. Stamped the flaps on top with a Girl Scout stamp I bought at Viva Las Vegas stamps in Vegas, of course. On the top of each box it says “hot food, enjoy”. I changed the Hot food” with a name label. Added a ribbon. The colors I chose somewhat coordinate with the colors of their badge books.
So, got my plans for tomorrow almost ready so just taking a breather and taking in some David pics and news here.

Hi guys….Just random thoughts here……I watched the video of David talking about snowboarding and his cat in his Murray, Utah backyard in January of 2011…..He even said it was down time in the music industry……..Just had to remember that this was the time David was trying to decide to break his contract with Jive and go on down the road on his own path that would eventually lead him to his decison to go on his Mission…..Just have to think he was a little sad and at the same time struggling with this important life changing decision………Seems like it all turned out to be a good decision on his part………..We are so blessed to have David in our lives…….Miss Vicki

Gee Kimk, you seem so positive there will be no NA DVD, I’m still crossing my fingers, might be silly but I’m hoping. So far no one has said there will never be a DVD, so we’ll see, even Kari said not right now and not never. I hope Jackryan puts her videos back up, I still watch them often, would be kinda cruel to take them off there when the DVD is still iffy. , I was listening to “Wait” in the car with my daughter on the way back from her school, let me tell you about our convo :
my daughter : “Oh it’s been a while since the last time I listened to Wait !! I think this is my most fav song from him <3" she rocked the song so hard in our car lol
Me : I thought you've forgotten about David and move on to 1D!! (she's a big fan of 1d now and I have to listen to them !!! like… alot, actually they are not bad hehe !!)
my daughter : "I still love David !! but he's away and has not have new fun songs in a while !!! " now she's rocking to TOSOD (my fav song).
me : Oh !! so if he comes back and make new music, you'll be jamming with his songs again then

I’ve been laughing out loud……honestly, he is the most adorable thing on the planet. Not an ounce of pretention in him. I know he has matured considerably since then, thank heavens, but I hope he never loses that joyful, hopeful, open, honest heart. I can not help but love him to pieces.
