I’m in the middle of my son’s hockey tournament and will be heading out to the arena again shortly but I just wanted to wish you all a belated Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!! Kimk-I too read at other sites and like you find the conversations interesting! It seems no matter what site you feel comfortable posting on, what site you call home..that danged dead horse comes back to life and rides again! I just wish someone would shot the poor thing and finally put it out of its misery.
What I also find interesting is that the same fans surface on the different sites in defense of the “topic”say the exact same thing with the same result…it doesnt change a darned thing nor does it change anyones mind. And to think we have 15 more months till he returns…and goes off to college!

So are you guys thinking it was more than just a silly rumour that David applied for BYU Hawaii? I guess I tend to want to see proof of things before I believe….but been around enough now to realise sometimes these silly rumours actually have at least some truth to them. Wouldn’t he choose to go to College near his family….? It’s not like he’d be under the radar in Hawaii. ??
On another note…..i hope david always writes his own music….for two reasons….first, because that’s the way to make the money and second, because I wanna hear what HE has to say, not someone else with some fancy words.
And in my ongoing fantasy of matching my daughter up with Mr David Archuleta (even though she’s too young lol)…my daughter also wants to do a music degree when the time comes and has talked about going to BYU.

Hey Shanny, well considering 95% of the so-called rumors that have sprung up the past four years have turned out to be true, I would say its a good possibility. BYU HI would be a great choice, its in close proximity to the PI and thats where he can make some good money. He is going to need to feed his piggy bank and feed his starving fans who by 2o14 will be in a severe drought! Sure he left us some music, while that is wonderful it wont sustain a career. Im ready for anything!

Kim, Candy…oh my goodness….it’s too exhausting reading all that ongoing, never-ending crazyness that goes on in the fandom sometimes. Don’t have the energy to even bother reading much of it. My only comment on the whole saga is this……whether you agree with the guy or not, he is what he is, so you gotta accept him as he is or move on. End of story. Only way to have peace if you ask me….just like the alcholics anonymous people have taught….change the things you can, accepth those things you can’t. Simple really. Sheesh…as I have said before…if david was buddhist or muslim or jewish or protestant or polynesian or asian or indian or conservative or liberal or a giraffe or a squirrel or…..or….you get the picture……i would expect him to act, think and look like a buddhist or polynesian or giraffe. I wouldn’t be offe.ded by it or try to change him because I would have expected that that was a part of the deal when I decided to become more than just a casual fan. And we all understand that just because people love david doesn’t mean they love his faith or all his points of view or that they wanna become a giraffe too. Just that if folks want to ‘move on’ from the religious stuff and focus on his music like they always say they want to do….then they need to accept the things they cannot change (david) or change the things they can (move on to an artists who views on life mesh perfectly with theirs – good luck on that one by the way). It’s the only way to personal peace and peace within the fandom I think.

It would make sense that david is planning on going to college. Listening to some of the songs on Begin. and considering he has gone on a mission….it could be that david realises he can’t put all his other goals in life on hold, while he holds out hoping for super stardom – because in the meantime that may never come. Gotta try and be a fully rounded person in life. I don’t think for one minute that means he has given up on music…just that perhaps he feels it is time to give a little attention to the other things he cares about also. Can’t go wrong with getting an education that is for sure. I’m all fod David doing what he feels is right and good for him.

Yesterday a false Kari tweet was going around by a fan nonetheless in SA. I don’t think it got too far. I knew it was false because I get all of Kari’s tweets on my phone. I told her she should probably delete it because some people would get mad (I won’t reveal who it was). The false tweet said David would be home with his family for New Years. David still has another 15 months left on his mission. We won’t even know what his plans are (except for singing, we know he will sing) until after he gets home.

Oh my goodness…i just looked in the mirror…seems like over night my puffy face decided to register all the Christmas eating! And i’m not finished yet! We’re doing ‘Christmas’ with my side of the family at my house on New Years day. Arghhhhh! Looking forward to flushing all this gunk out of my body actually. We were so exhaustingly busy over Christmas – and still are very busy actually – that I was hoping that would offset the eating…but I did gain a bit. I actually eat very little salt in my diet usually but have eaten quite a few salted nuts this week….so hopefully a lot of it is water retention that will drop off once I cut the salt again. *crossing fingers* #TooHopeful?
The question is…would david be acting or would he just be singing the theme song or something?
With the success of Glee and other musical oriented shows…it would also make sense that movie execs are looking to capitalize on that current market….and David would be an obvious choice to a clever casting agent!

Kim, is Smash a Spielberg project? Is it a tv or broadway show? When did it begin? Think they could have approached david for it? With Kate McPhee starring in it, it’s definitely not a stretch to think they could have been considering David. And that also indicates that Spielberg’s people are aware of the talent available in the AI alum. (Did I use that alum word correctly? That’s an american-ism thing I may not fully understand lol)

) Well, Davids all grown up & I think it will be different for him, even the young ones who wish they could marry David, care for him as a person, as much as his good looks & charm & voice. David is one of a kind, his fan base is somewhat unique, its like a mutual admiration society, you dont see that everyday. No need to fret, when David returns he’s going to be the biggest thing since sliced bread 
I dont think if David gets married & has some Archulettes, it will hurt his career at all. I think more guy fans will allow themselves to be fans, because they will see him as a grown up. I think some guys didnt think it was cool to be fans of a 17 year old(certainly not the FOD Roosters of course, they’re real men

Oh my goodness….yup been reading the drama and controversy…makes me feel exhausted. Makes me feel like giving up the online fandom. Ever have days like that guys? Makes me ask…Why was I ‘chosen’ for this (don’t many of us agree that it is no accident we were one of the few who ‘get’ that this guy is special?). Today it is making me ask….Do I need to stay? So much for sleep…it escaped me tonight! So rather then toss and turn any longer, got up and decided to work on backing up files on the computer. Once burnt…was enough.
