Good morning FOD land! Last night Margaret worked us hard at our practice, we sang all 10 songs twice and I practiced my trio a few times. I woke up this morning to not much of a voice, a headache and sneezing. I can’t be sick because my first performance is Saturday. Candy haha the first time I saw that “eyebrow” thing I almost fell off my chair lol, never seen such spontaneous flirty eyebows from any artists before (most of them move according to their scripts) lol those eyebrows have such strong impact on the audience!!!

So today on Fox news in Utah they had a childrens choir singing from Festival of the trees and they were singing Melodies of Christmas. Just thought that I would let you guys know. It was great to hear them singing one of David’s songs.

Janel, you don’t even want to get my writer’s mind going, but since you kinda gave a challenge, here’s a serenade scene I wrote for one of my David stories. It takes place the day he filmed ‘Crush’. Sorry it’s a tad long.
When Sundae came back out of the trailer she was happily surprised to find David waiting for her.
“Hey, would you come with me for a few minutes? There’s something I want to show you,” he said.
“I’d love to,” she said, smiling as she took his hand. They dropped her bag off at the car and then walked down toward the lake. When they reached the dock, Sundae gasped at what she saw. A trail of rose petals led out to the end of the dock and there a blanket had been spread for a sunset picnic with little twinkling candles adding atmosphere. Sundae looked to David and he smiled as he took her hands in his.
“I wanted to do something special to thank you for being here today and doing the video with me,” he said. Sundae reached and hugged him.
“I wouldn’t have missed this for anything,” she pulled back just enough to look into his eyes, “I was just telling Kat a minute ago how you amaze me everyday with how wonderful you are. This is one of those times,” she said. He pulled her to him again and they held each other for a moment, just enjoying being in each other’s arms. When they finally pulled apart he took her hand again and led the way down the dock to the blanket. There, they sat down and looked out at the lake as they enjoyed a light dessert of Sundae’s favorite, cherry pie. As she was finishing her slice, Sundae noticed a guitar that had been used in the video sitting near David. He had played it in a couple different scenes and she had been impressed with how well he’d done with it.
“I see you brought the guitar out, too, and might I say, you did great with it today,” she said. David smiled.
“Thanks. Dave’s given me a few pointers, too, which have helped,” he set his plate down and reached around for the guitar, “I brought it down here because I want to play something for you,” he said, situating the guitar on his lap.
“Oh, what would that be?” she asked. He gazed at her for a moment and then started to play and sing a sweet, lilting melody.

Tell me I won’t be alone
Tell me what I’m feeling isn’t some mistake

Sundae felt tears come to her eyes as she listened to the song. David met her gaze as he moved into the next verse.

David again lifted his gaze to meet Sundae’s and kept it there for the remainder of the song.

David reached out and laid his hand against Sundae’s cheek, stroking it tenderly, as he sang the last line of the song.
Show me that good things come to those who wait
Sundae’s tears were now flowing freely. David carefully set aside the guitar and pulled her to him, holding her tightly.
“That was so beautiful and you made one of my dreams come true,” she murmured, hugging him just as tightly.
“What dream?” David asked.
“That a special someone would serenade me with a beautiful song like that,” she replied. David turned his head, kissing her temple, before whispering in her ear.
“I’ll serenade you like that for the rest of our lives,” he said. Sundae felt more tears come at that and half giggled half sobbed as she hugged him even tighter. After a few minutes she pulled back and looked up at him, laying her hands alongside his face.
“That line in the song…these are the eyes of my one and only true love,” she said, gazing into his shining pools of spun gold. He returned her loving gaze and, after another moment, he leaned in, pressing his lips passionately to hers, his love pouring out and meeting hers through the kiss.

And yep, been writing that story since ’08(started in April) but the prologue goes back to Star Search days. I’ve also wondered what David would think if he ever saw the stories that are written about him. These stories are written throughout every fandom you can think of, so David is far from the only one to star in them.
Archie07, if you’re thinking of the white ornament in Archietina’s FEE pic, that one was a VIP freebie for one of the Christmas tours, I think CFTH. You’d have to try ebay to get one. I’d love to have one, too.

When I least expected it, FEE ARRIVED IN MY MAILBOX TODAY!!!! I really thought that it would come on the last day stated on WOW shipment confirmation. There’s nothing like being bombarded by a torrent of David facial expressions set to music. HA…didn’t know where to look next!!!!!! Now, about the hand movements… I watched the Motab clip that Kimk posted earlier, then, the “This Christmas” videos and of course, Rainbow and David has different hand motions for all occasions

Kim… I’m not sure if David would be romantic or not. Think guys generally aren’t…or at least they have.their own way of being romantic. My hubby is not the candlelight and flowers kind of guy but he likes to do little spontaneous things like put some music on and dance to a romantic song together and gaze into my eyes the whole time. lol Oh he’s a sweetie.
Anyway…enough of my guy….David has definitely made it seem like he’s more of a ‘casual’ guy rather than a ‘candlelight dinner’ guy….which has often made me think he’s not the romantic type. However on the other side of the coin….i think he’s probably quite tender and loving and thoughtful so I could see him doing romantic in his own way (just like my hubby kind of thing). I wouldn’t rule out ‘romantic david’ when he finds someone that makes his heart sing (no pun intended lol).

Charlotte, in your serenade chapter, You Can is one of the only songs I’ve covered of David’s. Good choice for the story. I covered Prayer of the Children, but when I first started recording my voice a couple years ago. I later deleted it because I really didn’t like how it turned out. No karaoke for it, so I have to do it a cappella as I don’t read music nor do I play musical instruments. Oh well!

Good Morning all ~ and a late thanks to Joanie for a FABULOUS post…pictures are just heavenly! Sorry I’ve been behind with my morning visits…finally getting back to a routine after being “sidetracked” for a week… *week from hell* describes it best. This has certainly turned out to be an unkind year for us but blessed just the same..if that makes sense.
Finally got around to watching FEE DVD and oh my gosh…David looks & sounds glorious as I imagined he would. Such lucky fans we are!
