Back For A Minute To Ft Wayne!
Mary Lou took us on a beautiful David Archuleta performance journey in Ft Wayne yesterday. Gorgeous pics and videos from fans!!! Today, we’re going to bounce back for just a few more memorable moments there! Kari treated us to a new never seen before pic! It’s David en route to the stage where he would light the tree!
Above is the photo of David riding in Santa’s sleigh! During David’s ride approaching the stage, @muldur used her camera to show us the crowd and music playing Joy To The World (David singing) overhead on that crisp Indiana night! Look at all the people!! Listen to the crowd!! I love this video!!!

I didn’t get a single frame that shows David but this is interesting for the atmosphere and to get a sense of how many people were there. I took this from about 10 feet from the stage, facing away from the stage, and people were surrounding the stage area/tree on all sides. The carriage came behind most of them so we were all turned to watch. They were playing David’s Joy to the World as he approached. It was beautiful to hear and fun to watch.
How cold was it that night?
Kari let us know for sure!
David Also Heard Ip5 sing That Night!
Be Sure to Check Out @Ip5 today! Click below to head over to Isiah’s Pittman’s site. Nice soulful voice!!
David Greets Dorothy!
Not dark of night, nor freezing temperatures could keep loyal fans away that night! Dorothy was parked and ready in her wheelchair to see David on stage. Remember Dorothy from Ohio?? She was 91!!! Dorothy ROCKS! Although we can’t see Dorothy in Nancy’s (@muldur’s) video below, you can feel the warmth David has for this special fan who braved the weather and the trip to see him!

This is for Dorothy, if you know how to surf Youtube! I wish I had been able to capture you a little, but this is David saying hello to you and I see David Hernandez there right beside you it looks like.
(Note: Dorothy is 91 and was there from Ohio to see David perform. i missed a bit at the beginning when he first starts to talk about Dorothy, and I cut off at the end when he was saying she was a real trooper. Sorry!)

They didn’t have it in stock at my Walmart yesterday and I didn’t locate it on Walmart.com, but lookey what I found on Amazon.com!!
Here’s the complete tracklist. I think I’d just like David singing all of them but hey, he’s in good company! So Cool!
Will you be ordering one? 🙂

Lily takes Us Back In Time To The Grove!
From Ft Wayne to The Grove in Anaheim the very next day for the Tree Lighting performance which included a duet with Charice! Lily has new pics and a story of the phenomenal day for us!!
But wait! Before Lily begins, here’s another
Lily BEGINS her story~
“Another road-trip for SuzzyyFOD/Sue and myself on Nov. 21, 2010…minus one of our Traveling Trio (Sherry, you’re going with us next time~ right?)!!!
We were there fairly early and ran into others fans. Sue & I decided we’d better have lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, almost right in front of where we were standing all evening. Teresa from SD joined us inside…and we just sat there leisurely…eating our delicious food, talking and checking “tweets.” All of a sudden, someone tweeted that David was doing soundcheck…OMH! We jumped up…asked the waiter for our checks and rushed out of the restaurant, where there was a crowd gathered already! I got out my camera and looked for a vantage point, but I couldn’t get close to the stage. So I used my zoom lens and started shooting photos between the crowd of people. The actual show wouldn’t start ’til much later but we decided to stake out a place to stand… and wait!”
The day continued for Lily and her friends!
“So here is my continuing story of the Grove Tree Lighting night. The crowd extended far behind us, whereas some folks were only able to listen to the music, but too far from the stage to have a view!
A BIG night was coming up! After the sound-check, Sue and I searched for a good place to stand, to have a good spot for photos. This photo below shows the way it was set up for the audience… children, some with parents, and the handicapped were allowed to sit on the concrete/red carpet area in front of the stage… they were approx. 6 rows deep, if memory serves me. There was a narrow walkway isle behind them, then the chairs for the dignitaries in attendance, of which there was a large group, including our former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger! This section was blocked off by red-roped stanchions, and we were able to stand right behind this barrier, giving us an unobstructed view of the stage! We stood at this spot for approx. 4 hours that day; somehow we were able to pass the time, sore feet and all! Things got crazy with people pushing and crowding in; Security kinda lost control of who sat where in that front area of children (and parents) section, but I was happy staying right in my spot, with Jerry/Jwipe on my left and Sue/SuzzyyFOD on my right! It was a beautiful evening as show-time approached! I glanced to my left and Jwipe wasn’t there; he had been eased back somehow, and was in the row behind me! I said, “Jerry, what are you doing back there; you belong up here!” So I made room for him to get back in the front (standing) row…LOL! The long wait was over and the excitement mounted as the show began! Some of the following photos were posted before, but there are a few new ones! Enjoy the memories of David, as we approach another ♫Holiday Season♫, a season of new adventures for Elder Archuleta!”
That last pic of that night, is a pic of Coleen S. her daughter Kat, her son John, plus Sue and me. Coleen is the daughter of the late Phyllis Fay. Kat is a wonderful ballet dancer! We all met around the time of the BONNIE HUNT SHOW. When Coleen’s late mother Phyllis was ill… Sunny took David to meet Phyllis (granting her Twilight Wish) before he left for for the Philippines to embark on his Nandito Ako adventure! They’ll all be at The Sounds of David Mixer next April! 🙂
Thank you Lily for these awesome pics, and for your fun recollection of the day! David performed Melodies Of Christmas and The First Noel, in addition to his duet (HYAMLC) with Charice that night! All of this within just over 24 hours returning from Manila, going through his performance and the climate shock of Ft Wayne, and flying across the country to perform in California!!!! Amazing amazing David! His smile never missed a beat!

Happy Wednesday everyone! It feels so good to be able to start each day fresh and new. I’ll be back tomorrow with a Thankful, Grateful Thanksgiving Day post.
