Hey guys! I’m back from having a wonderful Thanksgiving visit with my son in London. Had Thanksgiving dinner and all the trimmings there as well! Got to see Let it Be – musical about the Beetles and Thriller Live – Michael Jackson music…. As I sat there and watched these talented singers/dancers/performers I thought to myself how these talented artists haven’t made it big yet artists like Taylor S, Justin B, Demi L have been successful! Just don’t understand!! Was able to vote, too! My son thinks I’m crazy but gave me a hug and is happy that I have interests!

I was in my car for a couple of hours yesterday taking my granddaughter to the airport & then driving home. Listened to CFTH & Glad Christmas Tidings. I could hardly drive because I had tears in my eyes the whole time. Can’t believe how much I miss that sweet, beautiful angel!!!

Wow! I just received my FEE, and just watched the DVD of Rainbow. David looks very much his age, and he looked like he was having so much fun. I am just amazed sometimes at many different looks David has and also how he can pretty much sing any kind of music and sound wonderful. I am going to go watch it again. Great video. How did they do all of this in such a short time. Probably helps that David doesn’t have to have a bunch of takes to get things done.

Ok, couldn’t resist for very long at all.
I really like it. Its completely replay worthy too because of all the split screens, you have nearly 3 times as much to look at. Have to watch it multiple times just to catch everything. lol And i’m surprised how much I like the sound of the remix. I don’t really think of dance music as being my thing but I think they found the perfect balance on the sound! My only complaint – the orange lipstick – not quite the right colour. Love dancing david – remember that snippet of david dancing from AI – he’s wearing a brown jacket of some sort and they show brief snippets of all the guys dancing – well I could see little movements that remind me of that AI moment.
Its probably going to be a no win battle to keep it from popping up on YT. I look at it as buzz, most that were going to buy the expanded cd probably already have.
Got my FEE today so dont have to sneak a peek anymore.
Shanny-I hear ya about the orange lip color, but its a minor thing compared to the happy, gorgeous face that goes along with it.
Close up is great but could do without some of the hand motion,…Love the lower voice better then the high parts.

Itsalright, I dont think his moving his hands around are immature, something to outgrow, its to go along with the song, for the song. David what, did all of this in about a week? I think the video is fantastic, LOVE the hand movements, he’s moving to the song. If it was man in the mirror or Stayin’ Alive or Billie Jean, he would’ve done something different. Itsalright, there will always be critics. I think thats what David is kind of singing about in Beautiful. Wish it wasn’t that way. Hate that it hurts him but we can’t do anything about it but support him as much as we can and do our best to ignore the critics ourselves. Try not to worry abput what the critics might say. David’s got bucketloads of talent that way outshines any little nit-picking people might be able to drench up. At the end of the day, he’s the real deal while the others might be all shiny on the surface but their talent has no comparison to David. Any intelligent person can see that means something.

We know he is more talented then most out there but ya it worries me some don’t even give him a chance when they see things like the hand motion and other “kinda cheesy” things. I just want him to come back bigger then life singing eye of the tiger with his leg and foot kicked straight up to the sky, with the words “Look at me now” written all over him..
kimk – Please allow me to share this: Do you know that there are areas outside the US that still cannot see David’s video on VEVO? Up to this day there are certain David videos I cannot see if I opt to view them on certain channels, on certain radio online sites. MTV, etc… because they are within US territory.
Do you know that we in Asia also have to wait for anything produced from the US? And although we whimper and crazily crave for them, most of us respect that waiting period. We have just been lucky in Manila cos he has been here more times that we could ever ever hope for.
That’s why I have always been thankful to fans who gift Archies in Asia or share their concert videos with the world – stuff that we otherwise could have never enjoyed.
I am thrilled when my co-Archies are gung-ho about anythingDavid but takes exception when some legitimate concerns are reduced to online drama. Producing music is tougher than ever. Sony has closed in Manila. Music businesses are consolidating. Most are still in a quandary on what to do with the internet. So am thankful for Ivory for the support they give to David. But am wary how long that support will last strong if there are more.. shall we say commercially viable options in the market.
And oh yes I am frustrated that there are some who can go scot free uploading full materials that have been barely released. I used to think that that has never dampened the sales of the likes of JB, Madonna, Rihanna, One Direction, etc… but that’s the thing: they are them. They have their labels and they are widely acceoted in the US. David has a much smaller base to rely on. A much niche market if you may call it. Sometimes I feel that David is an acquired taste… I dunno… I just know that his music moves me and that I will support his career any way I can.
End of rant and I hope I did not offend anyone or have not abused the hospitality that FOD has shown me in recent times.
beth~ long time ago someone on twitter told me david was a rude diva and refused to sign an autograph for his daughter. i think either the guy was outright lying or maybe david was super tired and rushing somewhere or something. i’m sure that was an isolated incident.
Gosh, thinking about all David did in the Phils, filming a 5 week, 5 nights a week series, appearances on the weekend, photoshoots for the hair products, record an album, film 3 videos, film the commercials he did, its amazing, I cant even believe it & I’ve seen it all, unreal. Then, then he comes home & records another album, films a video, a photoshoot(for what, hmmmmm
) all while he’s trying to get ready to go on a mission & spend time with his family & friends before he leaves. We, his fans, are so lucky, so Blessed 
just watched the video, OMG, he is so gorgeous, it would look silly if he didn’t move his hands to the music, that is one of the many things about David is how he expresses himself with his hands, David says he doesn’t pay attention to the critics, so why should we? I Looooooooove that video, maybe mine will come tomorrow I ordered it ages ago from WOW, US, i’m jealous that so many have got theirs.

Well from all accounts, he’s super easy to work with and yet he has told us himself that there are certain things he won’t do and certain things he is very particular about. I think he knows how to pick his battles and when he has chosen, a person will have a very tough time fighting the Archuleta. And they will also probably find their days working with him are numbered – but they probably wouldn’t even see that coming. Kinda like the marriage bustup one spouse didn’t see coming. I bet people who try crossing him, see him as an easy target because he is super-nice but are then shocked to discover he’s a tough cookie who won’t be trodden on and used.
Those critics are the ones not buying the music…

Everything I stated in my previous comment, all he did for us, the day he was leaving for the Phils, he drove with Sunny for 3 hours to sing for someone who was sick, visiting sick kids, people who need someone to care about them, for them, all of the charities & he does it because he truely cares, not for publicity, not to enhance his image, its part of who he is. Could he be in a hurry & not give someone as much time as he would like, sure, could someone with him rush him along & he doesnt get to sign an autograph, sure, even once every 5 years be short with someone, sure, he’s human. Fame can be difficult, trying & frustrating.

JR – FEE doesn’t really have that much ‘expanded’ content. For me, its the vid and the remix. Will david even benefit much financially from the sales of FEE? Probably not. It may be more of an opportunity for Ivory to make a few quick dollars. But I will still support this album with my pennies because good sales make David a good client in their eyes. And when david is considered a good client, we the fans benefit from the collaboration. Not to mention, it helps keep davids career humming along. Ivory and TV5 etc have been wonderful to david and us fans, as I have seen it. They have made things possible that i’m sure others have put in the ‘too hard’ pile or the ‘not worth the effort’ pile, so I’m grateful and I really hope that all Archies will purchase and gift this FEE album.

I think even if David cared, well, I think he cares, its his career, but, no matter how important sales & his career are, the mission is something he needed to do. Do I want him here with us right now, singing his heart out, of course, but, I am happy for him, he’s doing what he wants to do, what that little voice inside him told him he needed to do. I’m proud of him, he said it wasnt an easy decision, he’s human after all, lots to put on hold for 2 years, but I think he’s happy 
All I can say is, he better record a spanish cd the minute he gets back 
that’s the difficult part of all this. david wants to sing and have a career but i suspect he hates the business side of it since he is such a spiritual and enlightened person. he knows fame is not important but at the same time he knows he needs some level of financial success in order to do music for a career. that’s what makes me think he might come back and try to have a somewhat normal life and sing at church and tour some other locations that he might like to go to just to make his fans happy. i don’t think he will ever compromise his values which may mean limited success but in the end his diehard fans will not abandon him and will continue to support him in any way possible. for me, i would love for him to come back, tour, do DWTS, a major motion picture, TV shows, etc. lots of big exciting things. if he does these things i will be very happy but somewhat surprised.
i also want to prepare myself for the possibility that he will come back, get married, have kids and not tour or ever make another album. that would be very sad.
I think the selling albums thing is the same as the fame thing. He loves the fame and he hates the fame. He doesn’t care about selling albums and he does.
He wants a music career so he’s got to be a ‘business man’ (and he’s talked a lot about having to learn to be a businessman) but on the other side, he just wants to sang! and live his life full of meaning and joy.
It’s kinda a catch 22, which must lead to a certain amount of angst for him and cause him to always be vacillating between the two, trying to find the non-existent balance.
glitter girl, David can have all of that. David said he had a blast filming NA & would love to do more acting & I think he is capable of many different types of roles. Music is in his blood, its part of him. When he returns, he will be able to dive into his career full force, the sky’s the limit. I’m telling ya, hang on tight, what a ride it will be
glitter girl- I’d love to see him to be able to do all those things when he returns. The main thing is though that David is happy. There are a lot of things in his personal life that I’m sure will bring him happiness. His fame is icing on the cake. If anyone can do this, David will surely be able to balance things out. He has a knack for knowing what’s important in this life and I’m sure he will strive for that. I like your dream about dreaming you could meet and marry David. You are sweet.

The FEE cd isnt going to be the end all of sales, David made sure he had money in his piggy bank before he left. He received a nice salary for NA, and while I would love to think that Bench and Forevermore were strictly for fans, I would be foolish to not think they also played a part in his financial security for two years.

Ca.dy, oh Bench was definitely for the piggy bank (not that we’re complaining right!? lol) and NA and Forevermore were probably for both the fans and the piggy bank. (Again, not complaining here. lol) And the sales of this album aren’t going to be the end of everything…but every drop in the bucket does ultimately count….and since Ivory seems to be so good at bringing us David content, I’d like us to stay in their ‘good client’ books.

Josie-David has been doing what he has been doing for 4 yrs now and ya we all stuck by him cause we love him for no matter what, but he has not gain any newcomers, infact he has lost a lot and I believe it is because of his lack of confidence. Also with him going on a mission when he doesnt have a hugh following is scary but he had to do what was right withhim. No one is asking him to change to humor society or sacrifice his values, we’ve been through this. If he does want a career when he gets back then he will have to start acting like guy who wants to have a career, (David style) but without calling himself a dork or saying he ugly owning what he is mad of.

Meh, I personally don’t think its a matter of “if David acts this way when he comes back, he’ll be huge” or even “if he had changed this, he would have been bigger than JB or 1D”. If that were true, every really hot guy who could move well and sing decent would be a superstar. They’re not. Its a whole combination of things, most of which are out of the control of the artist. Some things just HAPPEN. I think in the long run the biggest deal is being yourself. People know if you’re genuine. I think that’s the best we can aim for and then the rest either does or doesn’t come. I don’t know what will happen for sure in 2014. But I’m optimistic.
Candy- I get befuddled and mixed up as to if were are talking about sales for numbers or sales for amount of money made between the U.S. and Foreign countries. I’ll never get that straight.

I had the same opinion of Kari, not to upload the Rainbow mv in YT. That was also I mentioned before here at FOD, because to be honest I know some Philippines archies didn’t buy FEE, they are just waiting someone to upload, I couldn’t blame them too because their financial is limited, mostly they are students, they felt FEE is almost the same as Forevermore, only addition of MV, which they could see in YT. The excitement will lost once they already saw Rainbow in YT. They will totally not buy FEE anymore, so it doesn’t help to grow the sale. Good Morning everyone! I happen to love David’s hand movements. They really don’t look gay to me. David just has an innocence about him that I think is wonderful. He can take his time making his videos more manly and sexy. That’s fine with me!!
