Christmas from a Distance
…..Never in a million years did I think I’d meet someone so utterly and completely perfect, someone who would make me happier than I ever dreamed I could be, someone that would touch my life so profoundly and just give me a whole new reason to breathe.
My Christmas memories of him are like snowflakes each one beautiful, unique and gone too soon. His Christmas tours were nights of songs wrapped in a blanket; it warmed all hearts and filled them with melody that would last forever.
The power of his voice is beyond description. His music never ceases to open my heart. His songs are a way of caressing people with his voice and I am missing his presence this holiday season.
David’s music is so spiritual that it easily becomes a part of our celebration of the Christmas spirit. Christmas means a joyful time of the year and will always be a time to reflect on Jesus. It means giving happiness to others and allowing happiness to be given to you.
Let’s close our eyes and listen for the bells, imagine the snow falling softly in the glow of the evening and David voice taking us on a journey. You’ve arrived at a place somewhere between your heart and soul; it is the world of David’s rich musical gifts of Christmas songs.
Sometimes all we need is a little inspiration and motivation in our lives, his music can open your eyes, make you think deeply, energize you, and encourage you to face another day. It can bring comfort just knowing that he understands where you are and how you feel. With music he is serving others with a loving heart.
His music is echoed in our daily lives as an instrument of God’s love, if you ever want to get anybody in touch with God, have David sing to them.
David is using all his gifts and talent concurrently, to touch and reach out and serve those on his mission, and ultimately work on his personal relationship with the Lord.
His music is enjoyable and real, personal and heart touching and will be a source of encouragement to all who hear him. David is an extraordinary and gifted musician, but more than that, he is centered, sharing the love of the Lord in all he say and does.
This Holiday Season an Angel will sing, a star, a radiant light will still surround me with all his “ooh’s and aah’s; I will play his music he gave from his heart.
So my message to David this Christmas year is…….Even though we’re miles apart, Christmas Magic is in my heart. You have to know you’ve given me the gift I most adore, the many memories I have of yore.

A few changes
Holidays are coming, lives are getting busier and after the release of FEE, it is envisioned that, at least for the time being, things may get a bit quieter. So, the writers will attempt to scale back somewhat, giving us more time to focus on our own 2-year plans, and beyond.
Right now, each of us create two posts per week, and rotate a Silent Sunday post. We will continue with daily posts but one of the two days will be dedicated to a ‘scaled back’ post, with less content. I’ll call it FOD-lite 
That means when you scan down one of our pages, which contains 2 posts, you’ll still get a heavy dose of ArchAmazingness, but it will be balanced differently over two days. As I stated earlier, we have been surprised by the sheer volume of musical gifts left by David Archuleta and his team for all fans, so we’ll see how this goes; we’ll adjust as needed depending upon what the future holds! And of course, we are here to post anything we feel should be seen right or highlighted right away.
For those of you who provide us great content daily in our email box and on comment, THANK YOU! We so appreciate it and we wanted to let you know we may not be able to post it right away given this new arrangement. But please continue to feed us; we love all the info!
What’s NOT changing is our plan to be here daily, to keep our content focused on David Archuleta the artist respecting Elder Archuleta’s request for privacy during this mission, and our goal of celebrating and sharing the music and spirit of this amazing artist!

It’s coming up on 3 years (wow, that long ago?) that David did his CFTH tour. Fields of Gold, Prayer of the Children, Oh Holy Night and Ave Maria with the children’s choir were my favorite performances. I added an album in my FB groups of the pics I took that night. Same issue with Musiqtone happened to me today while voting. It continue to allow me to vote even though I thought I reached 100 so continued until the leaderboard came up.

Hi everybody! I have been out of the loop for several days with no internet. My daughter had to have surgery and it took me all day to get to her. I had two flights cancelled and changed flights 4 times before I got out of my city. Of course, when I got to where my daughter lives my luggage didn’t arrive with me. That was the least of my worries as my daughter was in a 5 hour surgery and I just wanted to get to her. I spent the first night with her and then the next day she had to have a transfusion as she had lost too much blood. Now she is doing much better and may even be able to come home today. She has been in the hospital for a week, so she is really wanting to get home. I have been helping her husband take care of their 2 boys. They are busy guys. We had 5 athletic events this weekend. Luckily she has a wonderful group of friends who have helped out with the boys and brought lots of food to the house. My son-in-law (bless his heart) has ordered the Honey Baked Ham Thanksgiving dinner as the doctor doesn’t want a lot of hub-bub in her life right now. Even if I did the cooking it is still pretty crazy getting everything ready for Thanksgiving. It took me 2 days to fold all the laundry that they had while she was in the hospital. Wanted to change all the beds, etc, too. Want everything as stress free as we can get it when she comes home.
I finally was able to get on the computer today and when I checked my email, I had an email from WOW… and my FEE is on it’s way. It should be at my house when I get home. Pretty excited about that.

Congrats to those who’ll be getting their FEE copies soon. I won’t be getting it any time soon. Can’t afford it and have no clue when I’ll be able to. I need to save every cent right now to put towards paying my taxes later. My employer doesn’t withhold so I pay flat out and it’s always expensive. Hoping CDwow will have a big holiday sale or something. Otherwise, I may not get it til sometime next year.
On a happier note, glad to see EH on musiqtone. That’s a great site for voting. already put in ten votes and will continue to put in more. Gotta knock down T Swift, Tweeber etc. and get David to the top where he belongs

Aww, Grannycrush, you had one heck of an adventure with your travels. Reminds me of one time I was coming home from visiting family in WI. We missed our flight at O’Hare because we’d had to drive to Chitown due to weather and so schlepped around the airport for more than an hour after nine pm CT looking for another flight before finally booking one for the next morning and crashing at the hotel next door. Total drag, but worth it to finally get where you’re going.
Glad your daughter’s doing better and I hope you all have a wonderful, stress free Thanksgiving

Sarahhazel, ITA. We have some amazing recipes that have been passed down a couple generations. From my mom’s side we have my grandma’s cornbread stuffing and pumpkin chiffon pie(made with egg whites whipped in to give it a light, fluffy texture and creamier taste), and from my dad’s side we have our special mashed potatoes, loaded with sour cream, cream cheese, chives and minced onion and topped with butter and paprika. My mom also makes her own homemade cranberry sauce with fresh berries. Soooooo yummy

Aw, great to hear all the excitement about Thanksgiving! It means so much to me especially since I’m not in the states to celebrate it with family. It becomes more meaningful! BUT I’m so excited coz tomorrow we fly out to London to meet him and spend thanksgiving together! If I can’t be in the US then London is the 2nd best place for it!
