DA Mobile – Those Were the Days!
I saw this tweet and was feeling nostalgic remembering when we’d get random phone messages from David via his DA Mobile fan club. Did it set your heart aflutter when you saw an incoming call from David? I actually saved all his messages on my old phone – which was 2 phones ago – I wonder if I recharge that phone if I could listen to the messages? Anyone else got them saved? Did anyone make a mp3 of all the messages? Let us know in comments!
I called the number and listened to the TOSOD message, and David asking if we want to get some of his songs as ringtones. It’s really good to hear his voice – try it!
Missing His Vlogs Too…
The lack of David news has really kicked off a nostalgia trend – and this fan vid really hits home! Almost 10 full minutes of “The Best of David’s Vlogs” – when you see all these clips together, it really shows how much joy these vlogs brought (and still bring) to fans all over the world. The vid has probably been posted before, but it’s so endearing, it’s totally worth watching – and listening to – again!

A Little Too Not Over ALTNOY
Hanging around on Twitter nets some pretty sweet finds! Pabuckie had been tweeting links to various David performances that she liked and was looking for a particular ALTNOY where David sang in a lower register and he changed up the melody – perhaps to make it easier to sing (sounds like he had a cold or allergies). If any of y’all are fans of David’s buddy Joy Willaims, The Civil Wars will be the featured performers on this week’s PBS show, Austin City Limits which starts airing tomorrow night. I was front row for the taping and they performed 15 awesome songs, so filling up a half hour or so shouldn’t be any problem for the show’s producers. In regards to the Lady V tweets, the reason you’re not finding the tweet I posted here on her timeline is that she deleted it. So ~ninja~ lol. Really though I just think she deleted it because of the wording and it was making people think she has actually been talking (TALKING talking like on the phone or in person) to David, which we all know is not possible since he’s on his mission. So then she tweeted the clarification that she hadn’t talked to him but that she was working on something for him.
I’m hope they’re working on releasing that favorite song of hers that David recorded!

Isn’t it something how Davids live versions of his songs are even better than the studio versions? It’s usually the opposite with most singers right? I just watched his live version of Wait and it’s amazing, he blows me away every time. I can’t get enough of that voice! Anyways good nite all:)

Aw Kimk, I can’t believe I clicked on the link you posted and watched it again! Tears all over again and makes me sad. All I want for Christmas is a vlog from David. Imagine hearing his talking voice again….
Maybe he’s lined up his friend Victoria to record one of their songs they did previously and will record it for a little gift for us!
Speaking of that – wonder if it is difficult to get all those songs – such as Save the Day, Senseless- to be recorded.
mmm interesting interview. Wonder when it was done? If it was done a while back did it give him time to record a spanish song? Is that one of the things he left behind for 2013? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
When you think about it – David has left us a lot of videos, songs, CD’s – a heck of a lot more than many other artists who are here and do very little when they’re between albums. So we are VERY fortunate to have David.
Now I’m left to ponder? Why are we still here? For me – I think I fell in love with an artist who is the whole package. Not only his voice, but his inner beauty as well. AND his outer beauty is an extra bonus. I care about his happiness, health, and safety like I would care about a loved one.
That’s why I do believe it’s all right to post and discuss his current life as an elder. I do think what David meant was – to respect his privacy as meaning: stalking, drive by’s…. The fans here are still here because we care about his well -being and I so appreciate any bits and pieces fans post.
lct – because we truly love David. He already like a family to us, that’s why we care about him.
lct I don’t believe I watched it either and glad I did. I suppose I am ready for it now because of all the time that has passed.
also think it is ok to discuss all things David and do if I can.

sarahhazel – Thanks for posting the Wait vid! I’ve never been a big fan of that song but of course David sings it well. David is in a league of those performers who sound/sounded even better live — Whitney, Celine, Mraz, Adele, Christina, just to name a few.
kimk – Thanks for posting Christina’s performance of Beautiful! I’m not a big fan of hers as I think she often over sings, but there’s no denying that she has an incredible voice. I agree with you –amazing!! I liked that she changed it up. Sometimes nothing like the original imo.
