A year ago today, David gave a concert in Okinawa Japan at the Foster Festival on the military base. This event superseded David’s appearance at the cancelled Futenma Flightline Fair. Let’s take a little trip down memory lane, shall we?

We Japanese fans had an awesome weekend in Okinawa with David and other fans. Some fans have gone to see his shows, but most of us have never seen him before. We were so happy to experience his performance live, with other Japanese fans together!
Deeply appreciate his coming to Okinawa for only one show in spite of long flight and big time lag. Of course we know it was for US military personnel and family. Thanks for letting local nations attend. MCCS Okinawa Entertainment stuffs were very nice and friendly. Many lucky fans could meet David at M&G!!! Thanks to MCCS and Official Site! The event was fun and we also enjoyed to get David’s merchandise before the concert. The sound system was great.And, DAVID WAS AMAZING!!! Mina, a young dedicated Japanese fan, took 14 (one is partial) GORGEOUS videos of David. Thanks Mina! I’d like to want you to know how the concert was, by watching the videos. Please watch them in 1080 HD if possible (nktk1015oki) !

Oh my goodness…trying to eat whilst reading that article about balut…makes my stomach turn. From the first moment we heard about balut I thought it was cruel and was glad when david said he pretty much just licked the top of it for the show and didn’t eat it. Sarahhazel – the Viennese SBL makes me think of music boxes with a couple spinning around together when you open the box. Or magical storylines where a little girl discovers and opens the box for the first time and the couple comes alive and dances gracefully and romantically across a dance floor. lol No idea where that all comes from in this imagination of mine.

Haha, just read the recap ovdr at the voice – still so much pleasure in imagining it all. Hilarious how he kept saying the wrong word for how hot he was! lol And love that he was laughing a lot with Elder Coello and that he was smiling the whole time tbey were escorting him out afterwards. I wonder if it felt strange to him – kinda taking off the missionary hat briefly and putting on his old well worn ‘super-star’ hat again. I bet he loved performing like that again but it must have been a bit of a strange experience too. lol I’m so glad he got to experience and remember the thrill of performing again and feeling all the fangirl love.

Ray – we were told not to put details of his mission here. Over the weekend I got carried away. Last time I did that concerning the July 15 devotional, Kalei wrote in comments not to discuss details of anything happening on the mission here, it wasn’t fair to those who didn’t want to see it. We need to put a warning and a link. I broke all those rules this weekend and even this morning. I had already decided not to keep doing it.
What I discussed with Gladys was minor things, what version of a song, what the those in charge there were doing, etc. She expressed some of her personal feelings on the night. She will put everything in her recap. Sorry if I came off as hinting, should not have put that comment. I will learn.

Imo, David needed to bulk up a bit, glad that he has. I bet that when Gladys said he was bigger, it must of be bigger muscles, the exercise nut he is, I dought that he would ever be chubby, lol.

David is slim the last time I saw him in Manila, but when he was headed back to US , he gained a little weight but still slim, I think David is more mature if he gain weight, he could look good with bigger muscles, since he is already 21.
My husband gained 50 pounds on his mission…….he says they fed him very well!! LOL!!

He actually lost all the weight before I met him! When he left his mission he was at 200……went up 250…. went back down 200 after 14 years he is probably at 235 but yes I did put him on a “home cooked diet” LOL!! He always complains about all the pop he drinks sooo he thinks that why he gained 35 over the years LOL!! Keep in mind he 6’2!

I think if you hear a david song in a store, you should thanks somebody for playingdavid music. Especially if it is a song that is likely to be from a cd and not from the radio. That will encourage them to play david again sometime ..and….there is likely to be an Archie working there who would probably be secretly stoked that someone loved david too.

I’m so glad to read that David is going to be performing a Christmas concert. I get a little choked up because (it seems) he loves to sing Christmas songs and loves to perform. Saturday was so wonderful and hearing about the concert was so good for all us David fans that have been so patiently waiting and I (omo) don’t think that it was at all disrespectful in anyway.

Hi Beth- Missed you. So busy going wild about Saturday night. When David does the Christmas concert in Dec. it will be summer there. That will be something. He was hot this Saturday. He meant the weather I presume. Funny how we don’t have to hear him sing the songs physically, we can imagie it in our minds and know he sounds great. We are Way over ODD.

Turns out caliente has different meanings (very warm; sexually attractive; fiery argument, spicy hot for food, etc.)….but calor is specifically for hot in terms of weather.
