I know we’ve had this quote before, but today it seemed fitting. It reminds me of one of the defining features of David fans, a feature that in my opinion, other than the love of the music and respect and appreciation for the artist, sets us apart.

Musings on BEGIN.
Hmm…this got me thinking. I always thought there was something to the title of the songs, that BEGIN was an acronym for some of the song titles. I mean, there are a BUNCH of B song titles (Broken, Bridge over Troubled Waters, Beautiful, Be Still My Soul), and an E song title (Everybody Hurts). But it ends there! So much for that idea. And I thought that the period at the end was more of a statement. As in…. Begin! Period! aka Enough said!
Well, I was wrong lol. Looks like David was looking for the right VISUAL here, not necessarily the message. The message was in the CD title, not necessarily in how it was wirtten out.

In looking at the options, I probably would have picked it that way, visually more dramatic and the practical part of me says its easier to write out/transcribe when its quoted somewhere. Like on FOD several times in each post haha!

Will David Archuleta Be As Famous When He Returns From His Mission?
Hmm… I think this piece from Disney Dreaming misses the reason and point for the absence. Nevertheless, I’m posting this here for a nice mention of Kari and all the dedicated fans, like you! And just so you know how this writer feels about this, fame without substance is pointless. It isn’t sustainable. And it certainly isn’t David. But you all knew that
There is a little poll at the end of the article. Head over there should you feel the need to weigh in Or not.
David Archuleta left earlier this year on a two year Mission, so there’s still a while left before he returns home. David has a great manager who contacts his fans for him while he is gone and shares updates along the way, but we can’t help but wonder if David will be as famous when he returns.
David has his group of fans who will never leave his side, but as for the rest of the world, will they still remember David when he returns after a two year break from the entertainment industry? Only time will tell.

Dont think Justin is worried about his financial future…it seems pretty secure. Read a report somewhere he is worth about 56 Million…not shabby for 18! That Heaven song – remember some felt like he was saying goodbye. And now we know, he had or was just about to make the decision to go on a mission. I now suspect that he felt there was a possibility that his mission decision might prevent him from ever having the opportunity to go back and perform like that in the Philippines and he really WAS telling the fans of his love when he sung that song. That obvious love for the fans and the music and the whole experience is another indicator to me that if he has anything to do with it – he’ll ‘be bach’ (<– Arnie accent there in case you missed it lol) David's a fool for the song. He can't help himself. Singing is who he is.

Sarahhazel – I used to think he would eventually go the spiritual route but now I don’t really think so. He has had opportunities when he could have done that – like with the Begin. album – but he has stuck with mainstream message songs. Yes there are spiritual undertones and I’m sure there will be spiritual songs or even albums in the future but I think David has shown he wants a mainstream career.

Hello all….loved, loved , loved the Grand Rapids “Barrier”.
Hi! everyone. Just got home from work and i’m trying to catch up. I love the Heaven vid in Manila. It was so good. Barriers was one of my favorite songs on his first album, he stopped singing it though. I hope i can hear him sing it again. I would love to hear him sing all his songs again.
All I can say is that I wish they had a like button for your comments……… I am usaully a lurker but might have to start throwing my 2 cents in if you all don’t mind? I have never seen David live or met him just love him as the person as we know him and his music.
David’s performance of “Heaven” in Manila was out of this world. Talk about pouring his heart into a song! I remember the very first time I listened to it. Of course I’m sure we all do! I was kind of stunned by it. It certainly was one of the very most fabulous performances I’ve ever heard in my life!

sarahhazel-It still stuns me to! I was pretty speechless, and couldn’t get David performances out of my head for the longest time. I’ve always wondered what Bryan Adams had to say about it. Bryan is certainly a rock legend and wrote some very amazing songs, but David took Bryan’s Heaven and sang it into the stratosphere!!! Bryan could never come close to how well David sang it, but I’m thankful he wrote such a wonderful song!

Hi all…Hope everyone avoided the storms today here on the East Coast…Sunny weather ahead….Just have to say that pic of David near the top of this post entitled “Ready for a Rainbow Explosion” made me think how hard he worked last winter in the Phillipines…HE LOOKS SO SO THIN…….skin and bones…..Hope he is putting a little meat back on those bones during his Mission…..Also, what is this Oppa Gangnam stuff all about…..Miss Vicki
Wonder if David had any idea how hard his being away would be for some fans, not that it would have affected his decision. But when you are going through something personal, one of lifes bumps in the road, it can be a lot harder then those of us missing his music and wanting a tour. There really are those who this is a hardship for and before anyone says they need to get a life…try to be David like in your thinking and response.
Lol!! Let me just say the video of heaven has always been my favorite. Some one said it as if he was saying good bye or he knew it would be one of his last performances before he left! To me if you listen to each performance and his interviews he actually throws clues out at you about his ideas of the future… that’what I get anyway.

A girl from Racangua who went to David’s devotional in July told me what hymns he sang. In case there are people here who don’t want to know, those who do can tweet me privately, or I put it on the Learn About David Archuleta and his Religion (Mormons) FB group, which is an open group. Not sure if the hymns were already listed here. Would have been wonderful to hear him sing them, especially in Spanish. David Osmond sang one of them on his album I have. Very beautiful! She plans to go to the October devotional as well. Lucky girl!

sarah, you wouldn’t know but I’ve heard of crazier things selling on ebay for lots of money. You wouldn’t be able to authenticate it unless you had pics of you being handed the water bottle and putting it in a bag, then selling item on ebay. But, then you could get identical water bottles and sell a bunch of them. Really surprised people haven’t tried that. I don’t go on ebay, so I don’t know.
pocoelsy- it was in Batangas, fronting an ocean, it was hot that day. David is silky white.

Yes Linda , we are old but not dead yet!!! we’ve seen a lot in our life time and this young man just grab our attention and captured our hearts …we never want him to let (us) go. Can I just make an observation as a newbie/firstbie? Since coming here I notice that we go happily along, then things get kinda slow, we get a little quiet,missing D a lot, someone says something, which leads to something else,…all heck breaks loose for a day….people air their angst, frustrations, opinions,……..the next day life is good again……we’re still friends, still love each other and David. It’s kind of like life………..and there’s always a rainbow after the rain!! …….and …um……that black and white pic is the pot of gold!!!!
