Music video
The music video was directed by Declan Whitebloom. The music video was first leaked on September 7, 2008, through AOL, initially restricted to Canada and then released on September 16, 2008, on iTunes. The video now has over 30 million hits on YouTube.
It consists of Archuleta on a vacation trying to get the attention of a girl (played by Hagood Coxe) on whom he apparently has a crush. At the beginning, several teens go swimming in the lake near their summer house, with one of the guys flirting with the girl in the water. After they have finished swimming, the guy runs off, while Archuleta stays behind to help the girl out of the lake.
The group is also shown in a cabin playing a game involving post its, while Archuleta is also shown playing his guitar in the cabin. Another scene shows the group by a campfire with several of them paired off into couples. At the end, Archuleta goes out on the deck of the cabin, and the girl follows him out, showing that she shares his feelings. Archuleta is also shown playing thepiano near a lake throughout the video.

So….After watching the VH1 interview with David’s Crush being #1 he is asked if he would ever collaborate with D. Cook and David’s response was “Never Say Never and that was way before it was used for JB”…Was Scooter B listening to all things David since that term became JB’s trademark. lol. Makes me wonder if SB said it’s time for a teenage heartrob and marketed JB in that direction knowing David’s personality would not take him in that direction.

Wow, four year anniversery for the Crush, seems like yesterday that I started the David Archuleta’s career journey. that gives me hope that the next 18 months will go by pretty fast too.
Yes, David’s career was, back then, looking like he was going to be a major star, but, imo, it had something to do with Jive not being able to support a young upcoming talent because of their financial problems that kinda added to the derailment of that path. Who really knows what really goes on behind closed doors. One thing for sure I’m confidient about right now is that David is in the right path to success and will achieve that success soon after he returns to his music career.

Hi everyone. Pastel nice post. Aww VH1 memories of Crush. My fingers still hurt. That video reminded me of all the artist that David and Crush were up against. We held him there for about 7 weeks if I remember correctly. Adele even had her song on there. They didn’t like us very much. That’s what I can never get, We voted fair and square and were not favored because we were devout fans except of course by Teen Choice Awards.
