We also found out from Kari that David was NOT wearing a tank top during that photoshoot, but a v neck T haha. And we found out that the music videos for I’ll Never Go and Forevermore were shot on the Feb. 14, also the same day as the Forevermore CD photos, AND the same day as David’s performance at Ogie-Regine Concert. Wow!!!

OMg…….THE TRACKLIST IS PERFECT!!! David is going to be covering a U2 song. That about did me in! lol
I’m keeping my fan friends name out of it and the Deseret Book worker’s name too for now. Some people might know who the fan is, but I’ll leave it up to her to tell. The DBook worker did not tell her to not share it. It almost looks like a magazine ad, but the promotion part suggests it’s probably a list for employees.
So true…these are some iconic songs! I’m most excited about hearing Pride (U2), Broken, and True Colors by Cyndi. I like that there is something for everyone on this album!
With this list, I’m just in awe of David and all he did for us. He didn’t have long to work on it, but the same is true for Forevermore and we all know how beautiful that is. An original plus 9 more songs that will never be good enough to listen to by anyone but David!
So Kari just tweeted “What is everyone up to?” We’ll see if I get repremanded for sharing the list. Let the bombardment Begin. LOL

Oh my heck…..SOOOOOO excited for Beautiful and Everybody Hurts. EH is one of my all time favorite songs!!! Eeeeep! And just the other day I was looking up Beautiful on YouTube cuz I wanted my 11 year old daughter to hear it cuz I thought it might be a good song for her to sing for her voice lessons. Can. Not. Wait. To hear D’s voice on it!!!!
Food for thought: maybe there will be another album titled END. at the end of his mission with that other D original and some other covers. I had that thought when Kari had responded to someone that their guess ‘would not be on the BEGIN. album’ or something to that effect. Just made me think maybe it’ll be on a different album.
It was going to take a miracle to draw me out of lurkdom and to express my love and appreciation for David. I have always been challenged and lacked confidence in expressing myself, but the track list to “BEGIN.” is so incredible, insightful, powerful, and so awesome that I must express my appreciation to him and acknowledge that I consider him an authentic GENIUS. To take on the task of covering these monster hits also earns him the title of COURAGEOUS. If this is as earlier shared, a reflection of where his heart was and is during this period of his life then please keep on doing what your doing David. If religion and hope could always be expressed the way that David expresses it there would be greater peace and harmony in this world. This CD with its amazing collection of songs is so very needed in this world today and I think it has the potential to be a monster hit. Thank you for letting me share my thoughts and thank you for this amazing Fan Site and all the hard work that you do.

I agree!! These deep meaningful songs are more like David. He is young but what’s in his mind is always universal, inspirational and inclusive. Unfortunately, current pop on the radio is always cheesy sometimes shallow (Beav, Boyfriend? eww.) love songs and hope David can change that trend. I know I am dreaming but dream big!!

Is it Aug 7th yet? Haha!!! Gotta love the date for that. It will mark 3 years to the day since I last felt my angel baby move, I’m pretty sure she died that day but I didn’t know it and i didn’t deliver her for more 5 days. CFTH came out right around her due date. It’s like he KNOWS exactly when I need his music in my life.

Needless to say, NO chicken will be served in the ArchuCafeteria, but plenty of Pad Thai

Had to look at the cover for a little while, but it’s grown on me. I agree on au naturale being the best look for David. No make up or airbrushing allowed. He is way too beautiful to need it.
And the track list… :dies: I’m going to need a tranquilizer before listening to this album. Can’t wait to hear his take on these songs and to hear the original track. It looks like a David signature piece so I’m sure it’ll be amazing.

OHMYHECK!!!!! The possible tracklist is KILLER. I have Sarah’s version of Angel since I fell in love with the song the first time I heard it, but I wonder if I will end up liking David’s better. I remember Kari did say there were 2 originals but it’s possible that the other is being saved for 2013. Right at this moment, I don’t miss David because I know how much he thinks of us and how much we must mean to him. I think Heavenly Father gave David extra energy so he could do all this, so that he could go serve Him and yet still be serving us. In other words, Heavenly Father is watching over us too, not just David. When you follow the Lord, all other things are added to you and you are able to do what needs to be done. David is one AMAZING person!

OH That CD Cover, I still havent recovered, my fav cover to date! I love everything about it, the scruffy thing, the John Travolta chin (thanks kimk) the EYES and the epic HAIR!! Cant forget the lips, and the flawless skin!! The mood it sets is reflective like the track list.
Miss Vicki- according to the Philippines Celebrity news, from what we heard, Charice no longer the same person, she already have other preferences, not a man. It seems David and Charice have no contact anymore, but not quite sure. What I’m sure is they never had any relationship aside from friends before.

Evening all, I really love the picture! The fact is David is growing up and maturing right before our eyes!!! No doubt about it… It’s going to be so exciting to hear this new album. But then it’ll be so sad when we dont get anything new from him for so long. I guess we just need to be grateful for anything we can get. Here I go yet again….trying to analyse WHY did david choose each of these songs. What was he wanting to convey? What does it mean to him? What feelings and experiences was he having that made him choose these songs? Wish he could just sit down and have a convo with me and tell me the answers to those questions.

I also think the cover doesn’t look 100% like david. Maybe if they unphotoshopped the rings out of his eyes and let us see their natural glow. Kim, these songs amaze me. This is going to be one album to truly showcase The Voice! I didn’t think I was familiar with the Keane song and followed the link you, posted. Turns out I have heard the song before and sitting and listening to the lyrics and relating them to david…..kind of made me sad. I wish I knew what he means by that song. It kind of spoke to me about david’s sometimes overwhelmed feelings and made me feel sad for him. Wish it was possible for him to travel through this world without any sadness…but alas…we all experience ups and downs no matter who we are.
Contemplating these songs is making me feel a little overwhelmed right now. He illicits so much emotion through his singing but when allowed to chose for himself, he also illicits lots of emotion in me through his SONG CHOICES too!

I’ve always just thought of it as a powerful song and I think it fits david perfectly in terms of message and i’m intrigued to hear how he will sing it.

Oh my goodness…have loved Angel since the days of Cities of Angels…got the soundtrack just for that song…but just went and listened to it again….and boy oh boy….thinking of david….it’s deep and poignant and kinda sad but beautiful all at the same time. Not sure if i’m going to be able to listen to this album lol….it’s going to make it so hard loving that guy from afar. These songs make me want to just put my arms around him and comfort him. I can hear so much sadness but also deep strength and faith.

Kim, thanks for the link. Watching that I see why it may have.caused controversy which is such a shame because it has such a powerful universal message. The lyrics remind me that words are powerful things (there is life and death in words) but that I am of great worth and I am strong and can rise above the junk in life that tries to pull you down. And it reminds me of the worth and beauty in others too and to make sure that I use my words and my influence to uplift and strengthen others.
Shanny the song has an amazing message.. to love yourself no matter what others say. I love it and love that he is singing it. Xtina’s vocals are quite amazing there and really looking forward to what David will come up with for his version. I know he can sing it like her but he might go a more subdued route? oh goodness if he goes soulful with a ton of ooohhs and aaahhhs… heaven help me.

Listened to that song now…it’s like what u said up thread Kim – these songs make me love that guy so much. I feel like those words are so inadequate to express my appreciation for him and how grateful I am to be one of the ‘chosen’ ones who ‘know’ of this person David Archuleta.

David has always chosen covers that surprised me! But they always are PERFECT…and I wind up liking them better than the original! Interested in seeing how he connects with these covers…sure a daunting job!
