What a great show we had in Layton! Thanks for coming out my fellow Utahans! With it being the night before Father's Day it was particularly special to have these 2 men at the show: my dad and my grandpa. These 2 men have certainly shaped me and have been mentors to me throughout my life. Happy Father's Day Dad and Grandpa! And Happy Father's Day to all you fathers out there! #layton #Utah #fathersday #father #dad #grandpa #tour

A Silent Sunday, but spreading a bit of Layton Love first!
Gonna try to keep this post small (not really) and then I’ll gather everything up for a super post on Monday. It’s Father’s Day … a good time for a l’il break. Not a long one, but a nice day to shower a special person with love!
This is my first post since the Orion Tour started. I can’t believe it really! I am in awe at what Joanie and Kalei have been putting together here, and David on Facebook. BTW, have you liked s on FB? Please do so, David provides really timely updates and you can comment/share all the things you see here!
I am so loving what I’m seeing. David gets better and better with each show. His setlists, although he is still changing them up, and might continue to do so, are so well balanced. I’m so glad he added Higher Ground and Don’t You Worry Child needs to stay here! One of my pals said that during the Orion Tour, we are seeing “Shop Around” David. It’s true! Unihibited, polished, happy, talkative, and in many ways, a “fresh face”. Renewed really.
Especially at the VIPs! A talkative, relaxed young man who is carrying these events on his own. Fans are ooooo-ing and awwwww-ing and signing up for more. And Kari? Well, she’s our faithful friend and guide and facilitator and organizer and protector and, just the best!!!
I’ll give you more of my observations from far far away in the days to come.
… and so it starts!
Normally David tweets before a show – “Anyone in the area? Come to the show!”. Well not this time. LAYTON was SOLD OUT! And looks like David was having a great time earlier or this week!

… more from the concert
David sang Say Me tonight! He hasn’t included that for awhile. And it was stupendous by all counts! David also kept his tradition of adding Don’t You Worry Child to this outdoor venue!
David was very emotional before Beautiful / Scars to Your Beautiful. And it appears as if he spoke of little Snow, the girl he met at Holt International in China, was being adopted! He found out today and it was a very emotional moment.
Higher Ground was out if this world with a few twists and turns and jumps at the end!
There was a groovilious backdrop tonight
The crowd seemed a bit sleepy in the first half, much more alive at the second!
David is continuing with his new tradition of high fives and hand clasps at the end!
Security was tight! Not sure how many vids or IGs will turn up. I’ll post what I can find!
My pal Roxanne was at the concert. I was sooooooo happy for her! She attended with her daughter and friends and their moms. It hasn’t been easy for Roxanne to get to concerts and I was so thrilled this worked out. AND SHE IG’d MY HANDS FOR ME ❤❤❤❤
