Is it almost time? :)

Tuesday Update : March 14th
~ Maybe I should reverse the wording of our quote?
“Go through what you grow through!”
Thanks so much to @taterzen for the tweet/share!! Totally made my day!! Shall we get a closer look? David looks so good and happy!!! Love his new look!
Lovely to see a glimpse of David!! Thank you, @Taterzen! He looks happy and a bit older!
Then Tuesday evening, we got a different “look”…. a bit more trimmed? ~ soaf_a_loaf shared this pic taken at Baskin Robbins in SLC! Perhaps David is back in Utah to celebrate the opening of his mom & stepdad’s new business adventure (more on this later) . And possibly, he stopped by to see Hillary for a trim at Hair by Hils! I’m sure loving seeing that smile while he’s on his social media break.
Thank you, Shanelle for bringing it over to twitter~ shared on IG by @Soaf_a_loaf
Shanelle also made a nice side by side to share along with a bit of lyrical humor!

It’s a “Time Thing” ~ Did you SpRiNg Forward?
(From WIKI) Daylight saving time (DST) or summer time is the practice of advancing clocks during summer months by one hour so that evening daylight lasts an hour longer, while sacrificing normal sunrise times. Typically, regions with summer time adjust clocks forward one hour close to the start of spring and adjust them backward in the autumn to standard time. click Wiki above to read more if you’d like; there’s a lot! And while we were springing our clocks forward, Mother Nature had her own idea of “falling back” into winter around much of the midwest and northeast with a storm this past weekend as evidenced in my yard. * insert sound effects of a long sigh here*
It’s pretty, but honestly “I’m Ready” for a new Spring season along with that new music “storm” we’re waiting so patiently and enthusiastically for! Could this be the week??
Over the past years, David has mentioned “time related things” in some of his songs~ wonderful lyrics that conjure up some vivid scenes in my Spring Forward sleep deprived mind~
“My Hands” ~ ⏰
Where Daylight Saving Time takes an hour from us in the Spring, David settles for a bit less in Parachutes and Airplanes.
Then there’s that sweet moment in To Be With You~
And the clever time reference in Nothing Else Better To Do that confuses the tired mind-
Oh and of course a favorite “declaration” song~
I’m sure there are many more… and this is just a mere sample, but right up to his recent release,Numb, David’s given us a reason to listen for those “timely” lyrics!
Anywhoooo I thoroughly apologize for this “timely” corny moment but I’m going to blame it on my Daylight Saving delirium which has me feeling like this today.

A Collage of Timely DA Favorites from Sam
Sam aka ohnopurple on tumblr made this collage some years back, but today is a nice “time” to re-post it! It’s a wonderful collection of David moments over time.
Omar shares a minute of Love!
Omar~ @Omarmedrano is an awesome “Archie” who is inspired by David to practice and share his passion of singing! Omar uploaded a minute of “love” singing “I can’t help Falling in Love with You.” Sooo pretty! Be sure to head over to his Instagram and/or facebook page to show him some love!! Thank you and keep singing, Omar!!
I can’t help being awkward on camera… and in general haha. I’m just so happy that I’m not sick anymore and well I’ve just been singing all day since I got my voice back too! Anyway, I hope you like this! Thanks for watching! Even if the video probably played automatically… #canthelpfallinginlove #andreabocelli #elvispresley

Music Shares for Monday
While we wait for David’s New Song to Drop, I’ll continue to share a few music choices (past vids/snippets, etc.) each day. Last Friday, David’s friends Pentatonix posted their new rendition and music video for “Imagine.” You can watch it by clicking below.
Beautiful vocals with emotion and harmonies that have put Pentatonix in an a cappella group class second to none. Here’s where I apologize, though, to PTX and John Lennon (in spirit), because David singing Imagine will always have my heart. ♥ No one can ever forget his performances of Imagine on American Idol and the effect they had on all, but fast forward to David singing Imagine at the BYU spectacular in 2015. WOW WOW WOW!!! David’s performance on Oct. 9th captured by Shelley was incredible!!!! I watched it again the other night and I was caught off guard~ chills and tears! David is definitely my “Imagine G.O.A.T.!” And it’s complete with “love shouts” for David!

A Fan Story from “JustJes”
If you visit our comment section, you may have had the pleasure of recently meeting “JustJes!” Jes is newer to FOD and we’re so very happy that she “found us!” As you’ll read below in her story, she’s a big time fan who has found the same wonderful qualities in him that have kept us here for all these years!
Jess emailed FOD some beautiful “Numb” edits which she created. Mary Lou began sharing them on twitter last week and we’ll continue to share them in our posts and on twitter. Thanks so much, Jes for the edits, for sharing your story, and for hanging out with us here on FOD!
I grew up in a home where we didn’t watch TV so I don’t know if I ever even heard the words “American Idol” let alone David Archuleta, David Cook or the rest of the big A.I. alums growing up.
I really got to know about David when I was watching the archives of the LDS Face to Face chat series (in July 2015). Right off the bat I was surprised at how different David seemed from what I was used to seeing in every way–as a returned LDS missionary, modern musician, single guy, millennial, Mormon, 23 year old, famous singer, etc.
The only songs of his that I know I’d heard of before then were from his MoTab Christmas concert. The first song I looked up after that was the one he mentioned in the Face to Face, My Kind of Perfect. It’s probably still my personal favorite but it’s so hard for me to pick! I have a most meaningful favorite, most relatable favorites, and my artistic side has it’s own favorite too, lol. But MKOP is a classic.
I was going to BYU then and that was the year David was headlining our homecoming spectacular. I got a ticket, and the Tuesday before the show he made a surprise appearance at our homecoming assembly so I got to see him twice! Crush was the first song I heard live. :)
The next time I saw him live was last year on his Christmas tour at BYU again. I paid an arm and a leg to buy a season pass in the spring just to get good seats and it paid off! I got second row middle-ish seats and was BLOWN AWAY both nights by the amazing show he, Nathan and the band performed.
Things that have kept me hooked–
David is real as a person. He’s figured out who he really is for himself (not an easy feat) and stays true to it in everything.
He is anchored with a pure heart and by his high morals.
David can SING. He’s got unbelievable vocals.
David is real as a musician too. He has the rare ability and drive to connect emotionally to the song he’s singing. The fact that he’s going to connect that ability to himself, with what shares in his next album is super exciting! I’m betting it’s going to create quite a stir in the music scene.
Lastly, I relate to David in an uncannily personal way. We both left home early (I left for college at 16) and even though we’ve both been pressured to be a certain kind of person, in the end we wouldn’t put up with it broke away to carve our own path.
Also I can’t. stand. crowds or any kind of spotlight. I like to run and hide from those things or deflect it as fast as possible. Partly because I’m an introvert, partly because I have social anxiety and partly because I don’t see value in it for myself.
Thanks so much for sharing your story, Jes! We’ll look forward to hearing more from you!

That’s about it from me today…at least for now. I’ll be here to pass along any new info should David or anyone on Team A pop onto social media. And I’ll do my best to be “timely!” Wishing everyone a happy remainder of your Monday, and if you’ve been sleepily affected by DLST, hope you can find a few minutes for a power nap! We must stay strong and ready for that “hurricane” of music when and where it hits!
