On birthdays….
That cat is out of the bag. I do age. I’m 23 now and I’m really depressed about it so let’s move on…I kid. I had a great day. And I’m not 23.
But if Jenny thinks she’s getting away with this unscathed, she’s got another thing coming. Thing about me is that I’m stealthy. I could come at this thinking she did this out of love. Which is true. But that doesn’t mean I’ll be lienient….
To all of you sweet, sweet people who wished me Happy Birthday yesterday, THANK YOU! It was one of the best birthday’s I’ve ever had. I don’t really think I deserved the love, but it felt DANG good. David would be proud of your kindness.
On rumors…
So we have oodles of rumors/reports/noise about David’s AI appearance. When is it going to be recorded? Is it going to be recorded and played at a later date? Is The Best Dang Band in the Land playing for David? What song will he play?
Although we’re oft-criticized for being “slow” or “late” with news, we here at FOD tend to wait for confirmation from sources we know and trust. Sometimes that puts us towards the tail-end of news. Sometimes not. But we know that information isn’t really supposed to be out yet, so we’ll keep it listed as rumors until we can pretty well answer those questions above.
In the meantime, if you haven’t already, take the poll about which song you’d like to see David sing on American Idol. Does is count for anything? Nope. This is all us, looking for fun stuff to chatter about. Find the poll is Jenny’s previous post.

I went to Bath and Body Works and I was buying david some chapstick and right when It was my turn to check out at the register, Love Song by Sara Bareilles came on!!!
I then went to the oral surgen and she checked on my teeth and everything is fine but i was looking around in the waiting room and saw a picture of the st louis arch! Haha , Ive actually been up in there and I dropped by camera at the top and it broke
Also the tv was on and there was a commerical for the ellen show and natasha bedingfield was the musical guest! Haha

ZOMGosh! AHHH! I’m tingly! Read on…
An FOD reader who is a manager at a Build-a-Bear Workshop location, gave me this head’s up that almost can’t be believed. For those of you who don’t know, Build-a-Bear is a chain of mall-based stores that allows children (and grown-up children) to choose from a variety of un-stuffed animals, stuff them in the store, add a heart, and then dress them. Your animal gets a birth certificate and shopping for the stuffed animal is more fun than shopping for yourself. My young son has a BAB monkey that wears a Georgia Bulldog shirt…because I couldn’t resist.
All store managers received an email that gave the following (paraphrased) information. OMGosh…this is crazy…
Build-a-Bear have given away more than $20 million-with-an-M to charitable organizations, including those that support families, children and animals. This year, they are going to release their own song, recorded over the year by several recording artists. The song is entitled “Let’s Talk About Love.”
The first such ARTIST to record and release “Let’s Talk About Love” is……….drumroll……..David Archuleta!!
WHAT? A NEW SONG!!!??? I’m shouting…terribly sorry. I have confirmed that this will occur, although the song may or may not have been recorded yet.
DYING! Who’s passed out? Who has played their album and bonus tracks so many times that you might…MIGHT…be longing for something new from David ALREADY? What else can explain the fact that I bit my husband’s head clean off the other day when he dared to close my YouTube window with the Inaugural Star Spangled Banner queued up?

Single Review: David Archuleta – Crush

So I think I had better start by saying that as a fan of metal / rock and the occasional bout of ‘emo’ music; I was slightly dubious about the latest R n B offering, especially when it came in a 17-year old package!
However as the runner-up in the US’s American Idol and being listed in second place on Forbes List of Breakout Stars of 2008, there’s little surprise that this track really changed my mind. Woo!
I’m usually a little wary about people who have been churned out of talent shows, because more often than not, they are just the best of a bad bunch; with the obvious exception of Leona Lewis, Jennifer Husdon and Kelly Clarkson. And now of course, David Archuleta.
If you weren’t lucky enough to watch some of his heart stopping performances on American Idol, then you will be happy to know the song has slow-grinding verses mixed with a chorus which has your feet heading right for the dance floor and your ’come to bed’ eyes wandering for the best looking guy in the room.
If you take all the talent from the boy bands of the past few years – Blue, N’Sync or Backstreet Boys combine it with a more edgy sound and a super hot man, David Archuleta’s Crush is what I’m pretty sure you’d end up at.
What’s more, I can hardly believe that this heartfelt, catchy song is coming from a boy of just seventeen years old; and if this is what he’s bringing out at his age, I have little doubt that he is going to grow into mind-blowing tracks in no time at all.
An absolutely mind-blowing debut single from a real American Idol…. Well one in the making at least.

Becky’s unhealthy relationship with XM 20 on 20
First, my new boyfriend is Priestly, the morning drive DJ on XM 20 on 20. I started dating him when he was so good to David and Crush WAY back in August. I called him every week and he was very sweet to me. He didn’t know we were dating, but we were. I kinda broke up with him when he started gushing over Jesse McCartney or Katy Perry or T.I. or whoever…He doesn’t know we broke up, but we did.
Today while I was driving VERY early, he played “Crush” on 20 on 20. Before David’s dulcet tones started “I hung up, the phone, tonight…” Priestly said, “Before the 9 o’clock hour I WILL be playing David’s new single. Stay tuned.” AHHH! So I’m dating Priestly again. He doesn’t know it, but we are.
Here’s where I need my Archie’s. Priestly is being moved to the 9 a.m. to noon shift and isn’t crazy about it. A big-time morning drive team is coming in. While you’re calling XM at 866-553-2020 to request ALTNOY, also leave a message that you’ll support Priestly on his move and will miss him on your drive to school or work. I’m serious. Goodwill toward DJ’s is a good thing. He’s a good guy who knows talent.

12/23/08 This morning in my fitness class I wanted to thank my wonderful participants, to reward them
for coming each and every time and staying fit for the holidays! As a part of that, I drew a
name to win David’s C.D. Before I excitedly said, “Who am I a big fan of?” One of my faithful
clients just laughed – she knew what was coming because I have confessed my O.D.D. to them
and often play his CD for different parts of our workout. Crush is already in a fitness format,
and I hope ALTNOY will follow!
This is a picture of me and the girl who won (on the right) – her name is Mandy and she was so excited!!
She had not heard his CD yet, but then said, “I know he is such a happy boy! I’m excited to
get in my car and listen to it right away!”
One more cool thing about her winning is she recruited more participants for this class ’cause
I gave them a heads-up last week they would get sweet rewards other than just sore muscles.
So, come on out to Utah and work-it-out with us and get your blood pumping with David’s
motivating music…but you have to get up early – 5:45 A.M. class! That would explain our
pre-makeup, post workout look lol.
Update 1/6/09 - Mandy reported today she was pleasantly surprised how much she love’s
David’s C.D. since she had not followed the last season of A.I. Yay!! Welcome aboard Mandy!
