Hello!
I have a random story that I felt like sharing! I was at my local Borders book store today, and as I was checking out I turned around to look towards the back of the store, and all of a sudden I saw a blown-up picture of David! It was back by the music section, and it had a huge picture of David on the wall. I was pretty shocked because his picture was next to Beyonce’s! And, as I was walking out of the doors I turned around again just to get one more glimpse of David, and the picture was in straight view of the door, so it was pretty much the first thing you saw when you walk into the store! It was sooo neat to see.

VIP Package Upgrade News
Here’s some new information about the VIP packages sent from Nat:
I don’t think I’ve seen this posted yet, and you may already know about this, but it looks like there are I Love All Access “Upgrade” packages available for some of the shows. So for those locations where the 5 Star package has sold out, there is still an opportunity for the fans to the get what’s basically included in the 5 Star package, except the Rows 8-10 tickets. So they can buy a “regular” concert ticket and then purchase the upgrade. I called ILAA and asked if one could do this and the guy I spoke to confirmed it. So good news!

David Archuleta makes a special guest appearance on an upcoming episode of Hannah Montana and, boy, is it the most groundbreaking thing to happen on television since Bea Arthur (R.I.P.) had an abortion as Maude!
Sadly, the pop sensations’ duet is torn asunder by Hannah Montana (who, spoiler!, is secretly Miley Cyrus), who had apparently promised to touch a nerd on prom night or somesuch.
David, you are inexplicably liked by thousands of teen girls. Why you making guest appearances, kid? Get your own show already.
- He wants to release ZG on the UK album, but the label doesn’t want to. He said that the recorded version wasn’t as good as the live version, and he wasn’t too familiar with the song at the time when he was recording it.
– We asked if he had drank irn-bru, one of the girls there had a bottle and he looked at it. It had caffeine in it so he said he couldn’t drink it, but he had heard of it.
– He went to Marks and Spensers and bought a salad for £3.50 . He said it was good, and cheap.
– He talked about his interest in the cows here … I had no idea what he was talking about, so he tried to explain it to me (got that on video … might put it on you tube in a bit) … he looked directly at me for a long time !
– He wanted to go see the Loch Ness Monster, but didn’t have time
– I begged him to come back to Scotland, and he said he wanted to, but it all depended on the album sales, since Crush hadn’t even entered the charts.
– His fav McFly songs is 5 Colours In Her Hair, and he likes Lies and Falling In Love
– He talked about how he was going to Manila with Cook. He’s excited.
– Ray (I think) came out and told us we weren’t allowed to make eye contact haha, oh and this guy came out with a “f”!you” t-shirt on … funny reaction, but David laughed.
– He recognised me nd my friend from the night before, and talked about the gifts we gave him
– He said he liked being able to talk to fans in small groups cos usually theres lots of people in the US and he can’t talk to everyone.
– He waited for someone to come open the van so he could put some things in, but no one came till 20mins later. That was fine with me though
– He said McFly were really nice people, and were really talented
– He asked me how long it took to get home after the Edinburgh concert, and then realised he had taken the exact same trip as us.
This picture made me crack up and choke on the water I was drinking. It is, without a doubt, one of the most ridiculous photo shops I have ever seen:

DAVID…MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Here’s a very inspirational story about David from Candy:
The event that I chaired this past weekend, in conjunction with the NJ Juvenile Justice Commission, is one that I have been involved with for over 20 years. It is held annually and is for girls that they have gone down the wrong path for one reason or another, girls who desperately need positive role models in their lives, some are even incarcerated and arrive wearing their orange issued jump suits. David was the inspiration for the theme for the event and was the topic of my motivational speech. We had over 500 girls there between the ages of 13-18; the weekend was VERY emotional for all, staff, girls and speakers. The stories that the girls shared were heart wrenching, their life experiences at such a young age always stop me in my tracks, the violence, heartache and death of family members, friends, schoolmates at the hand of gang members, drugs, is something that I can’t even begin to comprehend. Yet, you could see the deep desire and longing in their eyes to want to make it all go away, they just don’t know how! Hence the theme of the event “Empowering Today’s Youth To Believe In Themselves.” I wish I could share pictures but due to the seriousness of the event and the need to protect the girl’s identity, I am unable.
After a long and emotional weekend, it came time for us all to say good bye, can you imagine my surprise (shock was more like it) and the emotion I felt when we were at the farewell dinner and the girls all got up and said “This is dedicated to Candy” and proceeded to sing…”We’re A Little Too Not Over You”, and finished with “This Crush ain’t going away!” Needless to say I was a blubbering basket case by the time they got finished. Beyond emotional!! The months and months of hard work that went into putting on the event were washed away in an instant!
David’s presence was everywhere during the weekend, from the theme, to power point presentations, speeches, decorations and of course his music! I know David will never know what a profound affect he had on the event and how once again just by being himself, he has touched the lives of teens who desperately needed someone, something positive to hold onto, to believe in.
Could I love David anymore then I do…I think you already know the answer to that!! Candy
K first off, sorry for being so confusing and out of it. I tend to do that after being on the American Idol stage lol. But anyway.. I’m actually in the school room at American Idol!! Where Allison Iraheta now spends most of her time. It’s really cool to be back and see everyone. The historic American Idol save was cashed in last week and all of America waited to see if Matt Giraud’s luck had run out during tonight’s results show. But before all the drama unfolded, last season’s second place finisher David Archuleta hit the stage.
David performed his third single, the infectious Touch My Hand and sent the audience into a swooning frenzy. Archie stepped up his stage presence x50! No surprise with the vocals, darn near perfect as always.
Archuperfect also gave the bottom two contestants some great advice and briefly talked about his tour with our other favorite youngster Demi Lovato before leaving the Idol stage.

But, before we find out who’s going home, David Archuleta sings “Touch My Hand.” The song is actually all right – good beat. David’s matured a bit and seems to be a whole lot more confident. He certainly never performed like this when he was on the show. Good job Archie.
Ryan welcomes him back. David is heading to the UK Thursday where he’ll be touring with the band McFly. He greets Anoop and Allison, and tells them they both have awesome voices. He lets them know the show gives someone awesome opportunities and says, “Really live your dream.” Of course, David was never in the bottom three and finished second. Nice touch.

David Archuleta performs “Touch My Hand” in his return to American Idol, comes out with that big grin, and a great tone as he launches into the song.
He’s a little flat vocally I think; the song’s sedate at the start, but starts to take off in the chorus. His voice loosens up too; he’s just enjoyable to listen to, and it makes you smile to see how happy he is singing up there.
Ryan chats him up, David’s off to the UK tomorrow, is out of breath as always. He gives Allison a big hug and shakes Anoop’s hand. Tells them they both have awesome voices, and you don’t have to win the show to live your dream.
He’s really a nice guy; kind of funny to hear him giving career advice, but he’s come a long way in just a year.

When we first saw David Archuleta in January 2008, we heard his story of vocal paralysis and then saw him sail through his audition with a soulful version of John Mayer’s “Waiting on The World to Change.”
Within weeks he had staked a claim as the one to beat in Season 7, especially after his performance of John Lennon’s “Imagine,” a true “moment” if there every was one on “Idol.”
Although he came up short in the final night of voting, the 17-year-old (now 18) from Salt Lake City, has been on a roll ever since. His eponymous debut album — released in November — has now sold almost 700,000 copies and spawned the addictive radio hit, “Crush.”
And now Archuleta is a virtual touring machine: after “Jingle Ball” shows in December and a February-March solo tour in which almost every night was a sell-out, he’s about to embark on a U.K. tour, to be followed up with a 50-some city tour this summer with Demi Lovato.
Archuleta had to postpone his arrival in the U.K. and cancel two shows there in order to perform live on Idol tonight. Although it hasn’t been confirmed, all signs point to him performing “Touch My Hand” tonight, a song likely to be the third single released from the album.

ET has learned that Archuleta will tour this summer alongside recording artist Demi Lovato — as part of a 45-city tour that kicks off on June 22 in Toronto and ends on August 29 in Pittsburgh, PA.
Tickets for the tour will go on sale on April 25.
Before he hits the road, ET has learned that Archuleta will also perform his new single “Touch My Hand” on “American Idol” tonight, and he will appear as himself on an upcoming episode of “Hannah Montana,” airing May 3.

So this is my archurandomness for the day that I just thought I would share with you…
I have a friend who is a really amazing musician and is taking a specialized music class right now. Speaking of which, he’s actually going to Berklee College of Music next year which I think is where Eli went… But ANYWAYS ha sorry about that digression, my friend went on a field trip today to a recording studio so they could see how music is recorded and stuff. When he was gone on the field trip he texted me and said he was at a studio where David recorded his CD! I was like whhhhhaaaaattttt?????? Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh. Ha well anyways he said it was this studio, which if I remember correctly was called Omega studio, in Maryland… They had a big picture of David’s album cover on the wall there. My guess is that’s where David was when the rest of the idols had their free day in Baltimore during the American Idols tour last year. But yeah my friend said they showed his class how they mixed David’s music and everything, so I thought that was really awesome. Apparently Omega is “where they record the top quality music in the popular industry.” Well that’s what he said. Now I want to go there SO bad ha ha. Uhh well I guess that’s it I just thought that was interesting/exciting!
