Cellcast Last Night
It was “the best cellcast ever,” according to many of you…..awwwwww!
Unfortunately, due to a technical glitch, it wasn’t recorded.
Suffice it to say, there was much in the way of moronic dancing, hair flipping, and epic David picture-showing. It will live on in our memories.
With four writers for FOD–Jenny, Becky, and either Fran or Vox on late nights, it can get confusing when fans are trying to send us information or questions.
Simple solution: have one central email. DUH!

Z100 UPDATE! NY, NJ and CT Archies…ALTNOY NEEDS YOU!
One of our readers finally got a bit of info today about why ALTNOY has not been spun on Z100 in the last few days. She spoke with a DJ at 4:10 pm today. He said they have not stopped spinning ALTNOY, but that it is not getting a high volume of requests from LOCAL listeners. He mentioned that text requesting is for NY listeners only.
My take, worth very little…just talkin’ here:
As with Crush, Z100 tolerated out of area requests for a while, but now they are focusing on local area listeners and requests. If you live in the area or have family in the area, have them text request ALTNOY to 55100. If you are from out of the area and texting Z100 during the day, start to focus your efforts on your local Top 40 station and XM 20 on 20 or Sirius Hits 1.

Love the blue on his shirt. Sky blue is good. Hat…hmmm…ok, I’m feelin’ the hat. And we have stars here, rather than hearts. Someone’s changing it up in the design department.
Kind of graphically edgy with the single color palate, yet accessible with the happy face and USA shirt (??). And could they make David any bigger?

XM Reminder
So I heard ALTNOY on XM 20 on 20 this morning. Progress is happening. It has been spun a nice amount there today, although it has not made the countdown in a while. Keep calling 866-553-2020. When Sweety Petey Priestly starts talking, hit #1 and record your request after the tone. Done! This is a fantastic excercise during heavy rush hour traffic, car rider line or homeroom. OK, not homeroom. Wait until after school. Pace your calls about 5 or 10 minutes apart, but there are no guidelines as there are with online voting.

Last Monday, my daughter Emma & I went to see David in Northampton, MA — IT WAS SO MUCH FUN — we had a gift bag for him & Jeff that we actually handed to Jeff. I was very careful to put the contents of the gift bag into a ziploc bag given the snow storm etc. In the bag was a t-shirt (see attached image) that we got at a Jason Mraz concert — it was meant to be for Jeff, a large, they were not pre-shrunk and it said ”fond of hats” on it — how appropriate for Jeff! Also in the bag was a DVD of an award winning Fox/Searchlight documentary, “Young @ Heart” about an elder chorus which is based in Northampton, MA — I have been wanting to give this DVD to David as it reminds me of what he says is important about the way music touches people’s lives. In fact, Michael Johns met some of the members of the chorus shortly after he was voted off AI see this link: http://content.foxsearchlight.com/inside/node/2646 They are in their 70’s – 90’s and sing mostly rock and roll music — it is a blast and they have toured all over the place!
We also put notes explaining the gifts, information about a really great Thai restaurant in London that we went to last summer, hand warmers, Emergen-C packets and a self addressed stamped envelope in case they had a chance to send us a note back — TODAY, just one week later, we got a thank you note from David! See attached — I scanned it. Somehow, David thought the shirt was for him — oh well! Maybe Jeff didn’t want it! Not important — we were so thrilled to get such a sweet note and to get it so quickly — it was postmarked from Columbus, OH.

The concert hall is in an alley…no parking whatsoever! So, everyone attending will need to park in a parking gargage and then walk. They allow early ’dinner entrance’ at 5:00…so, all FODers may want to meet up at the hall for dinner and then the concert.
The hall has 2 bars. One bar is on the main floor, by the stage (no alcohol served at this bar) and the other is on the balcony level…also the same level where dinner is served. This bar will be serving alcohol when the show starts and will monitor once the show begins. However, 21 and younger can enter and eat in this bar area prior to the show.

Several members of the Mid-West group on the davidarchuleta.com site have planned a “tailgate” party. We are going to be bringing food and eating at about 4pm and will probably have a big David sing-along. (Hopefully the weather will cooperate.)
