The taping for the Orla Fallon Christmas Special for PBS begins at about 7:15pm EST tonight. There is no videotaping allowed for this event. but we have fans there and in place to tweet or send us anything they can. I hope that just sit back and allow David and the others bring them into the spirit of Christmas… in September!

SU2C Recap From Earlier Today!
WOW! Just…WOW. Between the amazing leadership of Pecan Pie and a last minute ingenious idea by Dave Filice to promote more donations, the Stand Up 2 Cancer team, Crush Kids’ Cancer is the team with the most donations overall of any team. As for the latest challenge, we were closing in on the 2nd place team before the contest ended. We’ll have to tune in next Friday, September 10 at 8pm EST/7pm CST on ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, Bio, Current TV, Discovery Health, E!, G4, HBO, HBO Latino, MLB Network, mun2, Showtime, Smithsonian Channel, The Style Network, TVOne and VH1 to see who won!
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to Pecan Pie for her ongoing drive and inspiration. Thanks to Dave Filice for donating three items that got people donating again, helping us reach our goal. And thank you to the anonymous donor who is giving up a signed Chords of Strength as well

Number one fundraising team! A huge THANK YOU to Dave Filice who donated some unbelievable items and put us over the top in donations. Not only did we raise the most in donations, but we also raised the most in awareness by promoting cancer prevention and early detection for ourselves and for our friends. Let’s keep up the cancer prevention/early detection. Mammary Mondays and Testicular Tuesdays will continue as a reminder for monthly self exams. Mark my words, more lives will be saved through this effort. Thanks again! Pecan pie out!

*Includes the J14 “14 sec” interview…but then David (who loves stats and numbers) asks how many seconds he used. The interviewer thought that maybe he had used about 10 of the 14 seconds to David replied “Dang it, I had 4 seconds left to talk! I love it!! I’m not surprised! He always gives the very most to his fans!! <33 him for it!!
* He also discusses his use of twitter: that “its random” “You sometimes do it subconsciously or automatically”. <—Oh but we LOVE those random tweets (nods head yes!!) and along with his awesome words of wisdom , quotes, and FUNNNN twitterfests like the one he gave his fans today (see below) he does a perfect job of balancing his tweets!

David tweeted 12 lucky people this morning. You can see his tweets on the feed here on the front page to the lower right. Congratulations to all of those he replied to! I’ll share a few highlighted tweets with you!
The above tweets were in respose to the news that David’s fanbase led donations for the SU2C team challenge reached $16,300.00 <—–from @ RJ0717 and @janey79 informed him that @pecanpie ’s SU2C Angels (Crush Cancer For Kids) team came in 1st place last night!
The above tweet (I loved this one) came from @HollyreFOD who asked David if he would be wearing those festive red pants tonight. <—– Maybe we’ll see the return of the dazzling purple shirt, or something new!
Sidenote: (regarding his initial tweets) I don’t know of anyone who treats their fans with more respect, kindness, patience, and grace , or who gives more to his fans than David Archuleta. I’m personally happy that he briefly shared his feelings this morning. It’s good for others to know about something that just doesn’t sit well with you. Letting fans know is really a good thing, a normal thing, and a human thing; it helps fans to know what not to do if placed in a similar situation. David teaches us everyday about honesty, kindness, grace, and about moving forward which is what he did in just minuites! You rock David!!!
