Brut Sun Bowl TODAY on CBS (US)

David Archuleta will be THE half-time entertainment at the Brut Sun Bowl in El Paso, TX in a mere 4 hours (it’s 8 a.m. where I sit).  Who’s excited?? I SAID…WHO’S EXCITED????  LET’S GET PUMPED!!!  Sorry…football pump-up talk.  Got carried away.

According to the El Paso Times, David will be singing the National Anthem today as well as performing during half-time!!

In addition to a stirring halftime performance, David Archuleta will sing our national anthem.

The details:

Where: CBS-TV (in the United States).  Click HERE for TV Guide listings that you can tweak to your own locale and cable system.

When: Broadcast begins at 2 p.m. ET/12 p.m. MT.  Half-time will fall after two quarters of play.  A college football quarter is 12 minutes long, but believe me when I tell you that they last A LOT longer due to commercials, time-outs, penalties (if you’re the University of Georgia…sorry), and more.

International: We’ll be looking for a live stream of the even for international fans.  Stay tuned!

“Crush” is #99 on Billboard’s Best of the 2000s!

Congratulations David! This is such a huge accomplishment! I think this pertains to their digital downloads chart.

I am very happy to say that I found David on Billboard’s Decade End Chart! “Crush” is number 99 in Digital Songs. Being 99 out of 100 doesn’t sound like much of an achievement, but these charts are for the entire decade. TEN years of music. Even being on that chart is a tremendous thing.

1. Musiqtone has ALTNOY on their list for Video of the year for 2009. You can vote 50 times every 12 hours. ALTNOY is currently in 3rd place. After you get on the site ALTNOY is listed 2nd on the list, you have to click the circle next to the name and scroll down to the bottom of the page & click submit. After you submit your vote you will go to a page that takes you to a list showing the results. From there you have to arrow back to the lst page to vote again. It is tedious but we need to get more votes for David. Voting ends on 1/15/2010.

2. David is in the Top 5 finalist for performer at the Stadium of Fire in Provo, UT on July 4,2010. This venue attracts over 100,000 and would be a great place for David to perform. You can vote as many times as you want to daily.

More Birthday Wishes

Hi there!
Just to let you know that David’s birthday was on my local newspaper “Standard Examiner” (Utah). It definitely brought a big smile to my face

Also my husband is the clerk in my ward and after much begging he included David’s birthday on the church program (Sacrament Meeting program)…Bishop ok’d . Here I’m sending a pic of the program

The best thing, though, was this morning when I went outside and right on my front yard some of my young women from church brought a huge Birthday sign with pictures of David and balloons…Aww Happy 19th birthday David!

ONE song will be televised

As reported last night, El Paso 411 is reporting that ONE of David’s songs will be televised during half-time. For those not familiar with NCAA bowl games, it’s customary for the network to cut away from the half-time show to go back to the studio and update viewers on other bowl games and sports news. Very large bowl games, such at the Orange, Sugar, Rose and the National Championship game will broadcast the entire half-time but not the Sun Bowl.

Do not be disheartened…those of us watching on TV will get one song (which will it be? Zero Gravity? Crush? A Little Too Not Over You?). And this is going to be a good game with lots of viewers!

Or is it “Who is David Archuleta?” Well, whatever the case, the question is David Archuleta!! David was a featured on “Jeopardy” on December 28th! Thanks to Mary Lou for the details:

The T.V. show Jeopardy asked the question, “Who was runner-up to David Cook, singing with One Republic? on season 7 of American Idol?” You can see it by Googling Jeopardy and typing in Question about David Archuleta.

Maria had a few more details:

One of the contestants rang in and said “who is David Archette?” WRONG Then the next contestant rang in with the right response. It was so cool…David was on Jeopardy last summer too after he won the “fanatic fan” award. Hey…when you’re on Jeopardy, you know you’ve made it!
