Eat a Blizzard, Save a Life

…and because it’s an amazing cause.
The Children’s Miracle Network is an organization David has been involved with that helps sick and injured children at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. Stop by you local DQ TODAY (or as I remember them, Dairy Queen), order a blizzard and help kids who are fighting like mad to get well.

But what if you’re staying away from ice cream? Well, Pastel and HoustonRufus have an idea:
HoustonRufus and I were talking about this cause and he came up with the idea that if you are trying to stay away from ice cream (we both are) then you could walk into your local Dairy Queen, order the blizzard, and give it to the next person in line. Everyone is happy…..you are, CMN and the person in line.
In addition, Miracle Treat Day is August 12 in Canada. Takes longer to make a blizzard up here lol.

Brooke White Benefit Show, Friday in North Ogden
I hope I’m not being too presumptuous, but I think David wouldn’t mind one bit if we took up a little of one of his fansites with this great story.
David’s buddy Brooke White is heading to North Ogden, UT this Friday to do a benefit concert for a very special young woman. Benton Paul will be there too! Check out here story and attend if you can. What an amazing community and Brooke is an amazing spirit.

My friend that I used to work with has a little sister named Natalie Jolley. She was just a few weeks into her Freshman Year at Utah State University in the fall of 2007 when she starting having severe back pain. (She had been having some back pain earlier, but she thought it was an injury from tumbling.) Eventually she was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma, which is a juvenile cancer. She has been battling this horrible disease ever since — and she is such a fighter! Just when they thought the cancer was gone, she would re-enroll in school and then the cancer would be back somewhere else. In the spring of this year the doctor’s basically told her there was nothing else they could do for her, and that she should go home and enjoy the rest of her life. so go and check it out. She is an inspirational young woman that has fought an amazing fight!
Natalie has one last wish … to go on a trip with her entire family before her time on this earth is through. (She has five siblings and many nieces and nephews.) She is too old — at 22 now — for the “Make a Wish Foundation,” so the community decided to try to do something to help. So, David’s pal Brooke White is coming to do a benefit concert for Natty this Friday night. (I just thought all the Utah –and maybe Idaho — Archie’s might be interested in going. I love her!!!)
If you could, would you please post the information for the concert on FOD so we can get as many people there as possible in support of Nat AND Brooke. (She is flying in just to do the concert.)
