Ok, a little bit of a cheater headline there. And ALTNOY has been on the charts already. But our esteemed moderator Vicki (why do I always say “esteemed”), called me today screeching like a kid at Christmas. She was in her car on her way to get her hair cut (unnecessary detail, but it helps paint a picture), listening to KISS 98.5 FM in Buffalo, the hosts of her KISSmas Bash next week. The lovely DJ began the hour with the Top 4 at 4 countdown. She started with #4, saying, “I cannot wait to see him in concert next week.” But guess what Archies?? It’s wasn’t “Crush” at #4…it was ALTNOY!!!! ALTNOY!!!
Vicki has never called and requested it. She doesn’t know of any organized effort to. HOLY MOSES!! This is cool!

Hey guys! I just watched all the videos over again and cried while listening to Touch My Hand and You Can. I can’t believe what a great job he did connecting with audience. AND THE POINTS! I LOVE IT WHEN HE POINTS
He sang every single song I wished he would and it turned out amazing.

This video of “you can” is from the same person with a full body look. I think it is funny how he swings his feet in the beginning.
I also love his motions when he sings “if you can take me sailing” and uses his hands so well.
I also love his long note on “knooooowww” and of course that smile afterwards. It just rings though the place.
Most of the time videos on YT do a poor job of conveying the true intensity of a performance. How is it that the vids from last night really do David’s performance justice?
He killed last night and everyone in the Arena felt as you do here. He rocked it!There wasn’t a single person not standing and screaming throughout his entire set.

I am just so full of emotion..I have to tell you that normally when it snows out I am down and I don’t feel right, I guess since I grew up in warm weather, colder climates and gloomy skies used to affect my mood, but I actually just thought to myself how I love this weather now, Smokey Mountain Memories came to my mind and I went back and watched what Dolly Parton said and how touched she was by his singing..I just have so much to be thankful for, and I am truly thankful for David coming into my life to make me look at the positive side of things..oh, these videos from last night make me want to catch a flight to the next Jingle Ball event..Solo tour, please come soon:)

He does this sorta circle with his hand and wrist, outward once and then inward once. I just love it so much. It would be so cool if the audience would do that everytime he sings ‘works for me…works for me’.

He was awesome last night and that was the first time I saw him live! He looked so different from all the pics I have seen, he is taller and leaner? looking and he had the right outfit for his age! He looked extremely happy and just like usual very grateful in saying thank you and that he works really hard for all of his fans.

QUESTIONS FOR DEAN: Has David’s voice gotten lower since tour? It seems like his low notes are deeper and his speaking voice might be deeper as well. And his falsetto seems stronger so is his high and low range larger since tour? Is David calling Dean before every Jingle Jam performance the way he did during AI and tour? Will David continue to sing these same songs for every concert or change songs? Will he change the songs each performance the way he did during tour? Can you tell us what Works For Me is about? I love that song and I know it talks about his vocal paralysis, but what is it referring to about not being able to decide?
Marylee, and all the concerts David has been going to were not just for entertainment, I think he used them as learning tools. He is like a sponge, soaking everything in, learning.

WFM is pure pop.. most likely would be geared to the HAC or AC charts more so than TOP 40 – and I think Jive is keeping the success of David’s singles on the Top 40 charts as the primary goal.. songs get greater exposure there… the song is a great one, but I honestly don’t feel Jive has it under review for an official release… if they go w/ALTNOY, then TMH, and both are successful, I think next up would be YEDL…. just my gut feeling….

During the season, David had a more airy tone, but it seems to have gotten more pure now. What can you atribute that to?
Also, you could hear David’s breathing more distinctly during the show because of the vocal chord issues. Has it strengthened now, because it is hardly noticeable now?
Do you worry about David’s voice staying strong through all of these performances?
I think you said during your interview with CDC that David sometimes calls you and asks you to help him warm up. What kind of things do you advise him to do to keep from damaging his voice when he singing so much, especially when he is tired?

Jive’s flexibility in consideration of songs like WFM will no doubt hinge on the success of the next two singles – a huge success with ALTNOY would be the gateway for lotsa consideration, and reconsiderations….. bottom line this early in the game for David is this…. he needs hits – strong, commercially successful HITS to ensure continued release of material from the album… ALTNOY has an excellent chance of being that hit – Jive and Azoff Mgmt will take care of the promo and marketing, in order to have the single attain wide acceptance and airplay on Top 40 radio.. add in the mix extreme fanbase support and great sales – we have a possible gateway to getting songs like WFM and the others considered… that’s the hope anyway
we’ll just sit tight, and see how they play it…….

Joanie….KimK just posted a video by RLKIS of Crush. Same poster posted a video of David singing Touch My Hand. It’s an amazing video. He really has a lot of stage presence in it. He doesn’t stand at the Mic, like he did in Idol. He really bounces around the stage. And, the “faaaaaaaaace…..oooooo oooo oh” at the end is AMAZING.

The camera I bought didn’t work, so I’m taking it back to the store!! David was the best performer there! He got so many screams, and everyone started chanting his name after the band came out!! LOL!
