Happy Thanksgiving
Hey Guys! Just wanted to say that I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!! We were in New York this week, and I had a blast! Yesterday was the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and that was really exciting. I was on the Green Dog float, and there were tons and tons and tons of people on the sides. It was pretty chilly too, but I heard that it was a really nice day compared to previous years haha. I bundled and layered up as much as I could though. I sang Crush near the end, and a couple of songs played during our time going down the streets. And there’s a mouse in here. Sorry I know that was random, but I can hear it wandering around and it keeps squeaking. I didn’t think there would be mice here but I guess there are… But anyway. Some kids from the PBS show Fetch were on my float too, and they were really nice kids. I also got to meet a bunch of other people who were in the parade, and it was really great getting to meet and talk with them. Miranda Cosgrove from iCarly was there too, and it was really cool to see and talk to her again. The sad thing is that I didn’t have my camera or phone with me, so I didn’t get to take my own pictures. Someone that worked there was nice enough to let me borrow their camera though before the parade started and I took pictures on my float, and on the Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends float! I know I’m such a dork but that’s my favorite cartoon lol. I was so excited to see it because it wasn’t too far behind me. But they were going to send me the pictures sometime soon.
The night before Thanksgiving, my mom and I went to see the musical In The Heights, and it was pretty much PHENOMENAL. It is seriously like one of my favorite musicals now. It was great that my mom was able to come to this particular musical too because it’s full of Latin music. So we had a great time with that, and also got to meet some of the cast members from it. I definitely recommend it if you ever get the chance to see it! The cast from the musical was also in the parade and did a number. Oh, the night before we saw the musical, my mom and I watched Twilight. I never read the books but a bunch of my friends are really into it, and the movie’s been getting a bunch of hype so we decided to go see it. I actually really liked it. The weird thing is when we walked into the theater Crush was playing so we walked back out because it was so weird haha. But anyway my blogs always get insanely longer than I intend for them to be, so I’ll end for today. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Fly FM loves David Archuleta. An excited FOD’er from Malaysia sent me this message:
A Little Too Not Over You was aired on a radio station in Malaysia called Fly FM, at 7.45pm local time(GMT +8)!!!!!!!!!!! It was aired as a new entry on the Most Wanted Chart, a daily chart show based on daily requests. I believe that Fly FM may be the first radio station to air it. It was later put on a segment called “Love it or Shove it”, where listeners can vote via text-messaging to decide which song they prefer. A Little Too Not Over You was up against Mad by Ne-yo, and of course, ALTNOY beat Ne-yo!!!! There are lots and lots of Arch-angels over here in Malaysia

Good Morning All! I pray that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I missed being here, but I was very busy cooking and entertaining family. Also played a mean game of two-hand touch football and realized that I am no spring chicken anymore.
I MISSED THE AOL SESSIONS! I have not seen them yet, but just finished his interview. He is simply LOVE! Does David have any idea that he makes us feel the same way he says Tamyra made him feel?
There was so much to catch up on, but I am off to watch the AOL Sessions.
I got in 100+ at vh1 and many at musiqtone. Going to walk my dog now. See you all later.
Re: AOL Sessions: What a perfect ending to a very hectic Thanksgiving Day. At one point I had 18 people in my house and I could feel a headache coming on from all the chaos. (6 kids under the age of 10 can make a house sound like a school playground at recess) LOL
So, after everyone leaves and it’s just the husband and I left in the front of the house, I put “The Christmas Shoes” on the TV and cry myself a river. My guy is such a sweety. He got up towards the end of the movie and watched the rest of it from the kitchen so I couldn’t see his tears. I know that this movie gets to him but he’s embarrased to let it show. (It’s that ole’ football player, tough guy side of him) I sure wish he’d let me share David’s music with him, but he just isn’t there yet. (sigh)
Anyways, I come here to check on what’s going on in the wold of David and I see that the AOL Sessions has finally become available.
Don’t know if it’s possible, but I became a fan all over again. It’s so good to see David sing his own songs live. If I were to choose a favorite performance it would be a tie between “You Can” and “TMH”, but love “ALTNOY”, “Crush” and “My Hands” too. My only criticism, and this isn’t a criticism of David…I wish the cameraman hadn’t cut to the guitar when he sang the bridge of “ALTNOY.” But that’s such a small thing.
David looked so grown up and dashing in the suit and I loved the passion he delivered. David never, ever disappoints.
13 that is true 2. They would both be happy to see each other or themselves at #1 they are nice guys and love each other and also want to have success. Personally I would be happy seeing our David @ #1. Although if anyone had to beat him I am glad it would be David Cook. LETS BE #1 THIS WEEK!

OK, who do you know that is trying to make in the music business that is constantly promoting other people’s music? Nobody except David. He is just too nice and humble. Wow a few others could sure learn a lot from this 17 year old!
The album itself is PERFECTION! But to SEE David perform takes PERFECTION to a whole new level! Just imagine seeing him perform live! That would be out in the stratosphere somewhere! I will not pass up any opportunity I might get to see him live again!

I heartily agree about the Session outfit. I loved it!!!! He really knows how to wear a loose tie and jacket – and the untucked shirt, oh my . . . **THUD** I will always like him best in black because it soooo brings sets off his amazing hair and eyelashes. And that creeeamy skin! What a doll!!!
Hi everyone. I didn’t get the chance to watch the AOL Sessions yesterday so today is my first opportunity. I was just mesmorized watching him perform these songs. He is so passionate and tender when he sings You Can and Touch My Hand. You can just feel his emotion when he sings. He is am amazing and gifted performer!! I can’t wait until I can see him perform his songs in person.
Brett said he was going home Thurs. night and staying for a 2 days. Maybe the Mouse was in his room! ha, ha.
angelbymyside – Aren’t they unbelievable. You know, I’m running out of adjectives to describe the way I feel when I see and hear David sing. He is just indescribable.

“I didn’t think there would be mice here”. If he is at home it has gotten cold in Utah and mice like to come in when it’s cold. Do you think he’ll try to get rid of it or treat it like a pet? I can just see him leaving little pieces of cheese for it. hee hee

Hollyre: When I was watching David’s AOL Sessions performances, I was thinking to myself that he just gets better every time I hear him sing. And to think he is just shy of 18 years old. Can you imagine what he will be like a few years from now? He is just incredible.

95/angelbymyside – I often think about that. I always try to picture him at 25. Can’t really do it, but his voice coach Dean said that his voice will continue to mature and change until he is about 23. That it will only grow richer. I can’t imagine. We have many years of “this” to look forward to.

i actually just watched the vids a few minutes ago and im seriously blown away. i had chills and tears the entire time i was watching them. i think i love those songs he performed even more now, if that’s even possible. i love the way he changed up the songs but not overdoing it. now i badly want DAVID to do some more sessions for all the other songs,dang it! he just has to! AOL please, im begging you! gah, but i think im not going to survive that! i could hardly breathe while watching the vids! and those archugazes!gahhhhh, i think i actually stopped breathing everytime he looked straight at the cam!

I have such a new appreciation for You Can. Just an incredibly moving performance. ALTNOY, amazing live! And his band did great backing him up. Touch My Hand, Crush, My Hands, he just nailed it.
I thought I couldn’t love David any more than I already did but I was wrong. I’ve loved his album but David live is what dreams are made of.

Hi Sweetcrush – create a playlist now… underneath the video, there is a bar that says view your playlist… with Add, and a + bar… after viewing each video, click that + bar… you’ll need to name your playlist, name it, then click the little box beside your playlist name… click the blue ADD button. You build your video playlist like this for each session…. let me know when you’ve built the playlist….
Hi everyone! I watched David’s AOL song sessions late last night after I came home from Thanksgiving with my parents, and my sister’s family. What an early Christmas present that was! (along with the parade earlier in the day!) I am just in awe! Then his blog- David is too funny! I just love how he’s talking about the Macy’s parade and then slips in about the mouse! Then continues with the rest of the conversation. It’s so wonderful that he’s been having a ball doing so many things in NY with his Mom! I’m planning on going to see Twilight with my nephew maybe today or tomorrow. I’ll be listening for Crush to be playing too!
WOW, those AOL sessions are beyond AMAZING!! I was so excited when I got home from all the festivities yesterday and logged on and there they were! Love, love, love them!! I can’t wait to see him perform these songs live!! Less than a week!!
Sounds like he had fun in NY! It was fun seeing him in the parade. I’m glad he was able to spend time with his mom and that they were able to do some fun things!

I was thinking how his band is sounding really good, at first i thought he should get backup singers to compliment his voice, but after hearing them on AOL, they are beginning to blend well with his range and sound. Ofcourse, they are great musicians and cuties, haha! I loved his blog, i love how he is unfaced by the mouse! HEY, I GOT MY ORNAMENT!!

Hi Lindy – Not sure how they actually count or give value to streaming – whether more is given to a playlist stream or the homepage stream… It’s convenient for me to play all five from a playlist…. I just set it up in the same way I set the one up for Crush…. if anyone could find out which is more effective, please relay the info…
It doesn’t automaticaly play one right after another, you have to keep pressing play?
Lettucegirl – if you can’t stream AOL just go to the you tube links in the previous post.
Click “view your playlist”… you should then be routed to the AOL Music page.. on the lower right hand side, there is a Your Playlist column… your playlist name should be here, with a video camera icon to the left… click this… routes you to another AOL Page.. there is a Start Watching button to the right of your AOL session playlist name… click that, FIRST VIDEO IN YOU PLAYLIST should begin to load and play… then the second, etc….
I guess so Sweetcrush… some had this problem too when we started streaming Crush… not sure how to fix that one!

I think as long as they are accessed and viewed – via either the AOL Sessions homepage or a playlist – they help his ranking on AOL…. streaming from you tube or elsewhere, not so sure they do….

jackryan4DA on notingdavid.org recommended those who are abroad and can’t watch to change our TIME ZONE on your PC to any US time zone. That should fix the problems.

Great front page! I told my hubby the other day that we can go ahead and cancel the newspaper on the weekdays, and only keep the Sunday paper delivery…didn’t have time to read it every day, plus I’ve got all of the headline news I could possibly want or need on FOD anyway! LOL

Robin – I was just looking at tickets through TicketsNow and there are some excellent ones available on the floor, center section 4th row or so – only problem, $250. And the airfare would be $400 through Delta. That’s all the farther I’ve gotten in to checking it out. There were other tickets available for less!

David was sooooo awesome –i absolutely loved it—the band and david have really come together nicely –they sounded great– i was impressed with their backup vocals too. i can’t stop watching it–its just what i need to tide me over ’till his concert.

Seems I am late viewing the Sessions videos, but I just finished them. OMG, David is amazing. You knew he would be amazing, but these videos just blow me away! That voice, his expressions, his face, his passion, I am totally and completely speechless. Didn’t they do these just a day or two into rehearsing? That is just freaky! How can you be that good with so little rehearsal? He continues to amaze over and over. And I love some of the little changes he has already made in the songs. He is just magical. Oh, and the band – they are terrific. Love it all! I could go on, but I’ll stop.

kimk & Karenkid, I’ve only gone shopping on black friday once before. The most fun I had today was sitting in the doorway of Kohls with my mother. We were waiting for someone & just watching the people coming & going was quite interesting. All the packages they were carrying. Bad Economy?
I will try again tommorrow or next week. I forgot to mention, I went to Target a little while ago. There were 6 CD’s in David’s section. Some of the current CD’s that were out had a price cut, but not David’s.

I watched David’s AOL sessions last night (and a few times after that)…they are PURE JOY!! David’s amazing vocals, the way he looks at the camera (or “me”, in my fantasy world – lol), the rockin’ band (they’re really good!), ALTNOY!! (so excited for the next single), his dreamy look.
I can’t wait for Jingle ball and then his tour!!
The mouse in David’s blog was too funny.
Oh and David did a great job singing (er, lip-synching) in the parade, he looked warm and cozy!

All the songs were out of this world, but I have to Say Touch My Hand was incredible. I’ve always loved it, but I had others above it. I think people are going to crazy if he sings this in concert. The way he crinkled his eyes & nose at the end of You Can. It like he was thinking of someone in particular when he sang that song or like he said he can just feel what the writer intended.

AOL Sessions to the rescue. They do wonders to relieve the stress from spending 7 hours in the Mall! Not need to light the fire place to get warm, watching the sessions will light anyones fire!

After watching the sessions for the billionth time, JIVE needs to use the AOL soundtrack for the ALTNOY video, much more emotion, passion in this performance!! I loved the touch the band added!

Parking was difficult. I went with my brother, who lives about a hour & half a way but was in town for Thanksgiving & my parents. We went to Kohls & then walked to Herbergers(just across the parking lot) & there was a car parked up on the sidewalk. I guess they gave up on getting a regular parking space. lol.
A poor Walmart worked was killed in a stampeded when he opened the doors this morning. How sad, tragic and pathetic is that!
Candy, I can’t believe it. Why are people so nuts? Do you know where that happened?

I got my ornament in the mail today! “I’m loving angels instead”. It will have an honored place on our tree.
I also got a thank you note from one of my daughter’s friends who I had sent a cd to. She said, “the cd is great and he is amazing!” A new fan is born. She didn’t know of him before.

I didn’t venture out today; I’m nursing a cough & a fever. David’s AOL sessions kept me company all day. Hmmm … maybe that’s where the fever came from.
#207 Deb. Thank you so much for the link to the MP3 files of the AOL sessions. They sound so good. I’ve been listening almost non stop to the AOL sessions!! At first I thought they sounded just like the CD, but now I think they sound better than the CD!!! No processed music, just David and his band and they are amazing!! I tear up every time!! How does he keep being better??? I will continue to stream off of AOL so he gets the exposure but now I can do my evening walks with these too!! Thanks again, CindyM
Beth-it was in Valley Stream NY. What makes it even more tragic is that some of the shoppers complained when the store had to be closed for a few hours. The shoppers broke the doors down and trampled the man! He lost his life over a flat screen TV !

Like you, I’ll keep streaming when I’m connected to the Internet, but it’s nice to have the files at other times. I agree … I like David’s band better than the studio music. They’re pretty cute guys, too!!

What is wrong with people? It seems some people only about themselves. Lately, I’ve come across some really nice people in my normal routine. They acted like they were happy to see you & greatful for your business. Infact, I told this kid thank you for being so nice & that he made my day. He seemed so happy to hear that. Then, I have met some people who are rude or just plain indifferent.
I think next year it might come down to handing people numbers in the lines outside & only a few will be let in at a time. I think those people should some how be held accountable for what happened to that man. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out something like that could happen. People should think about what they’re doing.

aol sessions- it’s worth the wait.now, i can’t stop stop myself from watching it over, and over, and over again!
david hunkchuleta is so amazing and super duper talented and gahhhhhhhhhh, it’s so hard to describe his enormous greatness in that aol sessions.
the band did an amazing job too.they compliment with david in so many ways!i loved the name they gave to the band, “dang it’s”,hahaha.i hope to get more info about them too.they are fantastic guys though. i saw them in person last nov 11 and oh well, life is beautiful hahaha!
shout out to my friend andrea c!- i had a blast yesterdaY at the macy’s parade.i did not recognize david at first bec he was wearing a bonnet.so by the time he got near my place (38th st broadway), i was in shocked that i forgot to click my camera.i just found out that it was david when the people starting to scream his name,D-A-V-I-D, D-A-V-I-D yayyyyyyyy!i’ve been waiting for his float since 6 am then when he appeared it suddenly poof, it was over.gosh, but it was worth it. i will do everything for david.

When David sings, he goes to another world…and the coolest part about it is that he takes you there with him. You don’t really notice it until the song is over…and then you feel yourself coming back to reality…and you’re thinking “how did he do that?”. And you feel like everything is good, and all your problems and bad feelings just vanish away.
