I guess they have to find something controversial to say to get attention….what else can they find on David and that isn’t even anything! …..AND I might say…. Just an FYI, that what Perez posted actually came from someone else (Perez didn’t write it). Funny, but when I first saw it I thought I hope Perez doesn’t see it…. oh well, but as mentioned at least it’s publicity.
JOyF, I know there are a lot of people that love and accept David. There are thousands. Think of all of the writers and singers that he has been working with and meeting. They just aren’t talking as loudly sometimes. Good will come out of all of this exposure!

#7 munkmusic: Yep..our boy is growing up and has gone from cute to hunk in a matter of months. I suppose if you don’t follow him the way we do, it’s quite a shock. Funny thing though.. when you meet him face to face, “hunk” is not the adjective that comes to mind…well at least not mine. Sweet, polite, funny and cute are what pops into my head. Perhaps more people who post such things need to meet him, then they’d know how ridiculous they sound.

So, I don’t want to start anything but I can’t get on Perez site and I was wondering what he/she supposedly said? I know, I’m always the last to know anything. Been trying to recover from a herniated disc with not much success. Stinks when you have a sitting job and can’t sit without tons of pain. It’s all David’s fault…Zero gravity wrecked my back , at a Christmas show no less…Oh well, it was worth it…um, fun anyway.

Good afternoon! Well, we were supposed to get 5 – 6″ of snow and got 12″, with 6-10 inches more coming Tuesday. Yuck. But it’s pretty. Looks like someone sprayed that fake snow on the trees, ha ha.
Tom ~ you really don’t want to go to Perez’s site… there are some nasty comments on there. Not so much nasty as in negative, but just nasty. Ewww. Made me want to go wash my mind out with soap. I hope David never reads that stuff. I know he can’t stay innocent in this world, especially in the entertainment industry, but you just wish you could shield him from all the “stuff” that passes for entertainment now-a-days.

Just wanted to comment on the No Air video which I thought was amazing. It nice to see how a lot of people are being surprised by his performance.
I have always said David should embrace his waist line and when he tucks his shirt for the first time, well at least it’s the first time I have seen him with his shirt tucked in (HE LOOKED GORGEOUS). They start critiziing him? I for one thought he looked HOT
I’ve missed David and his singing. I keep going down memory lane with his previous performances and he always makes me smile and swoon…

Hi everyone! Stopping by before woirk to check up on my Davdi news. Hmmm…where could he be? Nashville maybe? Maybe man is producing the new album. That would be fine with me since he is well known and respected in music. He also gave us the almost double platinum Crush(along with David of course!). I love all the vids and pics from Miami too. He and Jordin were on fire for No Air. I hope Jive took notice. As far as the Perez thing goes I’m sure if David found out about it he’d just roll his eyes. I think he knows some of that comes with the territory of being in the business….Congrats to the Saints for a great game in Miami last night. I’m happy for them. First win in what,43 years or something like that? GG,you are right. Today is torture for alot of people. I’m lucky since I don’t have to go in until 3 but most people have to be in early on Mondays. Well heck, I thought the same thing. No big deal. But people are crude, I get that. You just have to blow it off, they have a right to say what they want. David’s a man now, he can take care of himself. I’m sure he doesn’t care what people say, he is used to it by now. When they can’t knock you because you sing great, they have to resort to insulting the person, and when the person is David, you have to resort to finding physical things to pick on. If that’s all they got, then David is doing great!

While hosting a special three-day event at the Edec roc Renaissance Miami Beach, Jordin did a few performances but it was “No Air” that impressed me. I wish the sound quality on the video was a bit better so we could really hear it but I love it! Archie did a great job singing with Jordin – his voice is perfect for it!
I don’t how true this is but I’ve read that he didn’t have a lot of advance notice and thus didn’t have much rehearsal time but you can’t even tell!
I’d love to hear Jordin Sparks and David Archuleta collaborate again in the future!

kimk I was just reading that about Howard Stern. Really hoping it isn’t going ot happen but I know that Fox likes drama on Idol. I remember Simon when he was on Larry King a few years back saying that they’d love it if all the contestants would argue with the judges and be more controversial because it makes for good TV. Maybe for some people but not me. I started watching Idol way back in the day because I like to hear talented people who can sing. Just me though I guess.

Getting ready for round # 4! Can I just say that I am beyond tired of snow, how do people that live in parts of the country that have snow from October to April, deal with this. We’ve spent the better part of the day trying to batten down the hatches for the next go round. This is so not fun!

123 – sounds like our winter in the NW last year – we got about 2 feet which is very unusual for us, even my kids were sick of it by the end – although, this year we got nothing – just one quick snowstorm that lasted about a day and then warmed right up and melted.
I’m still amazed at how good they looked together – I remember when everyone was wishing for a duet on his debut and Jordin was mentioned often but everyone thought the size difference would just look awkward – bless Jordin for wearing flats, that made it really work and they look believable and great together – it really bugged me when that girl David presented with last year on the AMA’s wore 3-4 inch heels – she looked like a giraffe and poor David – seems like the girls only care about looking as thin as they can by wearing stilts – don’t really care about how anything else looks.
Hi all, I totally understand everyones frustration with the non-stop snow. Talked to my friend in Audubon NJ yesterday and they’re bracing for a third storm tomorrow. Used to live there but glad I don’t now. This to shall pass and before you know it, all the flowers will be in bloom and Birdies chirping away! (I’m trying to paint a positive picture here!!!)

Kimk – I am only comparing David’s to Bieber’s too! CB was a very talented artist (still is) but he ruined it for himself and it’s a shame! I don’t like comparing David’s version to CB at all. One thing about David is…when he covers a song…I don’t care whose it is — he never disrespects the original artist of the song — he just sings his heart out and PUTS HIS OWN STAMP ON IT! A lot of CB fans will be angry if ppl say David’s is BETTER THAN CB. But, I know the music industry loves to do that ….compare, compare, compare!
The only way to get the views is to watch over and over. I just came in and haven’t read up to see what everyone is talking about but I know that we can get view totals up and show everyone that David can get the views also. Crush is doing pretty good in views! Other videos are also.

This is at least the 3rd time he’s had to tell people. Stations have obviously complained to rca. and i will say at least adam and rca are good about telling them such things(even if they dont listen). Just a little fyi stuff. For future reference. meaning dont bug stations too much.

That would work, Kimk! I would love to go to a centrally located concert and have a huge get together! WYSYLM is a great song. I haven’t been able to hear it live yet. I still want to listen to Contigo En La Distancia live! If David has an acoustic concert, I will do all I can to try to make it.

Frogcooke, I actually think David fans over did it a bit with their enthusiasm during the ustream for the Starkey Hearing Foundation. People just kept saying ‘Where is David’ ‘I wanna see David’ while they were doing the introduction/presentation. It looked a little disrespectful. Overall though, David fans have to be the nicest people out there. Must be David’s example. lol

I really can’t wait for a new CD too. But I want David to take his time on it and get it just right. In the past he has said that the next album will be more about who he is. And I wanna know more about what makes Mr Archuleta tick! Not to mention that I want it to bring him lots of success.
In a way this will be his ‘coming of age’ album I think. His first was a ‘Release it quickly after Idol’ album. And the Christmas CD was a niche genre album. I think this CD has more potential to show us who David really is and perhaps what direction he wants to go musically?
In a way it concerns me that some of the writers are pumping songs out so quickly. I hope David’s team doesn’t get caught up in the frenzy of it all and forget to let this album be a reflection of who David is.

236/Hi Shanny-I agree about the Starkey Chat, what I saw was what I assumed to be young fans of Jordin/Davids making comments that were rude and disrespectful. What bothered me more was the fact that Starkeys was monitoring the comments, what must they have thought…it wasnt the amount of comments that bothered me, it was the content.
Shanny I like your comment about this being a coming-of-age album for David. That’s a very relatable theme for people, and will suit him well if that’s what it turns out to be.

240/ hi shanny in oz…. i don’t see it as particularly a ”coming of age” cd… i do see it as perhaps a more focused barometer of the musical direction he plans on taking… he’s still young, has plenty of time to work himself into cd’s that are perhaps more personally crafted from his experiences… i have no other expectations for this cd other than that, because without hearing anything from it yet, it makes it hard to really gauge what the focus/direction will be…
Candy- exactly! I think at first they were impressed by the support but then it went a bit downhill. If we want organisations like them to do things like this in the future we need to make it worth their while by respecting their organisation and being polite. Ah well, hopefully we all live and learn from it.
