Celebrity guests will be on hand to encourage the children as they are fitted with the hearing instruments and begin hearing clearly, some for the very first time. The mission will be followed by a special performance by American Idol national recording artists, Jordin Sparks and David Archuleta. Other celebrities scheduled to attend the event include Sam Moore, Lou Ferrigno, Larry Fitzgerald, EJ Henderson, Bernard Berrian, Chuck Foreman, Leslie Nielsen, and many others.

I wanted to share an article that was in the Philadelphia Inquirer yesterday about Jason Castro. He made an appearance at a local high school near where I live and it gives insight into what he has to do to make his way in the music business. He has a tough road to haul to make it in the industry but he is doing what it takes to get his name out there. I wish him the best. We all know that he and David are good friends.

Angel ugh. Jason seems like a nice guy, always has and I just read Elliot Yamin cancelled some of his concerts recently and the implication was ticket sales?
even CFTH tour I think David was not sold out all over but it could of been something else like the times or that he was doing Christmas music? I don’t know?

ABMS, Thanks for posting the article on Jason. My favorites from AI7 were David Archulete, Jason Castro, and Brooke White, in that order. I promote and support David always and I try to promote and support Jason and Brooke also, because I think they are good and also because they are good friends of David. When the twitter fansite polls came out I noticed Jason and Brooke were not on them so I submitted them. They are not doing that great but they are there. I see Jason’s brother Michael has made it through AI to the Hollywood round.

kimk ~ In reading that article about Jason, I felt bad that he has to sing to an audience of teenagers at a high school who it seems half of them could care less that he was there. They drive all night in a cramped van with their t-shirts, cd’s, etc., to get to the next venue. I know that many artists have to go this route but I am thankful David doesn’t have to. Not that David has it easy, he has to pay his dues to.

Russ ~ Hello! I have always liked Jason and Brooke also. They seem like such awesome, down to earth people. It is so much harder for them to make a name for themselves in the music business. I just wish them all the best. I know that Michael Castro gets through to Hollywood but I think he gets cut there just like last year.

Hi GG,Tina,joaine,pamtimmie,kimk,dafan,abms,and anyone else I missed! It is freezing here in Boston-20 degrees and really windy with a windchill of -9! Brrrrrr!! very sunny though and no snow so that’s good. I’d love to hear that David was invited to some Grammy parties too. Candy! Sorry, I just saw your comment because I had a little unexpected company who wanted a little of my cooking. So, of course, I cooked. Then I got a brilliant idea I’d like to make a pound cake. But, then decided it MUST be a marble pound cake….so I have gathered my ingredients and just waiting for my butter and eggs to come to room temperature. Haha. I think Tina Tuna and Beth are hilarious, but I’m just…amused by them! LOL But we would have fun, wouldn’t we??

Hi Patty-Ann, the Montclair concert was temendous! I love to hear the comments that people make while they’re taping. The two teenagers next to me would yell in unison,”We love You, David!” when things got silent, which was was never come to think of it. I read some reviews of theatregoers before going to the Wellmont and most complained about the strong armed security, (for an Archuleta concert??), poor viewing sections and the high price of the beer. Lots of comments on the last one. I enjoyed the intimate feeling of the placeand the acoustics How about you, Patty-Ann, Candy and anyone else who were at the Welmont?

my guess he will lower the key for the next song so he could sing it in concert?

Idamae – I loved the Wellmont – first of all it was convenient to get to. I took the bus at Port Authority and it left me off right across the street from it! Places to eat were right there tooo. Inside, reminded me of the Beacon Theater in Manhattan – a very “old” feel to it. I was in the balcony – acoustics were great — but next time I really want to sit in the orchestra UP FRONT – craziness and ALL – I don’t care — I want to be closer to David to SEE him sing as well.

South Florida is beginning to feel the fever, Super Bowl fever that is as the Super Bowl returns to Miami for the tenth time on Sunday, February 7th.
But as most fans know, the Super Bowl isn’t just about football, it’s also about the parties, celebrities, concerts and extravagant fan fare designed to promote certain products and brands.
The marketing bonanza kicks off Friday night at the opening of the Bud Light Hotel in South Beach. Bud Light has taken over the Doubletree Surfcomber Hotel, located at 1717 Collins Avenue and is turning it into party central for Super Bowl week. Bud Light gave the hotel a complete makeover. The venue will be home to a week’s worth of celebrity filled events including a UFC exhibition, GQ Magazine party, Usher concert and a Jamie Foxx concert.
The Eden Rock Renaissance Resort & Spa will host the family-friendly Sparkstown Teddy Bear Picnic on Wednesday, Feb. 3rd at 5:00 p.m. The event features performances by Jordin Sparks and David Archuleta. Guests are part of a service project involving teddy bears that Archuleta and Sparks will deliver to a local hospital and SOS Children’s Villages in Florida and Haiti.
Sparks continues her weekend-long Super Bowl Experience at the hotel at 9:30 p.m. with close celebrity pals and ex-American Idol contestants, among others.

Hi, Kimk, about a 1 1/2 hrs ago I began lurking on Fod and didn’t know what to expect ’cause I had never been in a chat room before. Well, it was so fast paced, hysterical and clever. I remember that everone was “looking” for someone called Kimk and Candy exclaimed that she must have fallen off the face of the earth searching for something. Well, I laughed out loud and had to stick around. You finally returned with some David goodies and I’ve been hooked ever since. By the way, Kimk, I want to thank you for clearing something up for me about “Running.” I guess you can say that I hang on every word of David’s songs because I translate them into Spanish for my sister-in-law and her God-daughter….And when I was listening to “Running” the first word I heard spoken by a female voice was “mafia.” well that explains it!
