not tryng to be dramatic, David sang Proud Mary at MJ & Brooke has been on my mind.
In my opinion, I don’t think it was very nice of MJ to suddenly make David stay & sing an extra song with them without telling David in advance. Remember? the time that I think ….Sara Bareilles…asked him to sing at her show & he couldn’t because of the contract rule.
He was in the contract or not, MJ should have asked David permission first. At least he could prepare to perform.
I think MJ took advantage of David to make his show fun & special. It was disrespectful to David.
If I were David I would be very upset for not letting me know in advance, and kind of forced me to be on stage spontaneously. Another thing is, I might not know this song & won’t be able to sing & look silly on stage. Lucky that David knew that song.

Russ I think they may be a tad ‘inspired’ today… so let’s just keep chugging our best right now and see what tomorrow brings? 96/ lol, DFT….and that just takes me through the morning. One time, my hubby commented a little sarcastically about me being a “Lady of Leisure” (mutual decision….was a cop when we met but haven’t worked since I moved “down south” due to low pay for law enforcement here and hubby not too thrilled with wifey poo wearing a bulletproof vest to work every night..)….anyway, I said, “What do you think? We have little elves that climb out of the dresser drawers every morning when you go to work and take care of everything that needs to be done around here while I lay on the couch and eat bon bons and watch Ellen and Oprah?” He laughed. The next day, I wrote down every move I made. He was dumbfounded by the list. Now, I just hear every now and then about how lucky he is that his work day ends when he comes home but mine is 24/7 and is there anything he can do to help?

Kimk, congratulations on your son passing his drivers license test. I counted the weeks until I was 17 and got a license, literally checking them off on a sheet of paper, lol. A couple years ago I got a commercial drivers license to drive a school bus, the guy failed the two people in front of me at the drivers tests with the bus. He was like a drill sargeant. A cloudburst soaked me to the skin as I stood there at attention as he described what he wanted me to do with the bus. Afterwards he asked me if I had been a teacher, I said no, and he said, “you have something on the ball”. HAHA, that was the best compliment I’ve ever received I think. OH, and I passed.

My drivers license story. I didnt get mine until I was 20. I got a permit, My Dad took me out driving once, maybe twice & I wanted to take my test. Well, my Dad didnt think I would pass it without more experience so he made a bet with my grandma on whether I would pass or not,lol. My dad bet no & my grandma bet yes. So my brother took me in my mom’s car & I made him stop like 10 times on the way there to practice parallel parking,lol. We get there & I pull of a parallel parking masterpiece. I would’ve got a hundred on my test, but he said I didnt turn my wheels when we parked on a hill. Gosh, I would’ve if I had known we were on a hill,lol. There idea of a hill, pretty lame. So my grandma won the bet. Got a higher score than anyone in the family,lol. I didnt let them forget that, for a little while anyway,ha,ha.

Alot of these pop artists tend to be flash in the pan types> they use alot of autotuning in the studio and smoke and mirrors when they perform in concert to disguise their average voices. All David has to do is get up there and sing and his audience is mesmerized. Very few people have a voice like his. 232/ Hi Patty-Ann-I think now that David has become the “man of the house” that may have changed how he feels about being away. He may feel more responsibility to keep an eye on his mom, siblings, house, things in general. As long as David can get home and visit he will be fine being on the road, he is 19 and not many guys his age live at home nowadays. I still feel that down the road we may see a move for him to Nashville to be closer to writers, producers.

Got called away unexpectedly earlier — didn’t mean to just drop off the face of FOD… lol
Been busy with registration today; made lots of new student IDs! I felt like asking them all to vote on the tweeter while I was at it but decided maybe that wouldn’t be such a good idea while I was working, ha! I did ask my coworkers though. I’m gonna email them a link when I get home and they’re gonna vote tonight.
Been considering Lauren’s advice about embracing my southern heritage and getting a 4×4 so that I can actually get around in the winter. Looked online. Why the heck don’t they make a 4WD car?? Seems to be lots of AWD but I’ve heard iffy things about how useful AWD really is. Hmmm. LOL at me looking at cars based on the one or two months a year when we actually get winter weather here. Hi everyone I think I need an intervention. I turned down 2 invitations this week because I wanted to stay home and vote for David on the Tweeter thing. My husband just emailed me an article about Adam Lambert and how the FCC received over 5000 complaints after the AMAs. I don’t get it? Why is it that if your idea of singing and entertaining is to scream and hang you tongue out while simulating lewd acts acts on national TV…you then become very popular and are invited onto all the talk shows, etc.? Not to mention leading in the poll for WHAT? Best American Idol Ever? Puh-leeze. Archangels unite! Let’s show this country who the true “Best American Idol” is!

Yes, Joy, I think that some of those twitter categories do not apply to David, although, I did get a giggle out of how creative some of the people were in giving their reason why they nominated him in those areas. I did music, celebrity, humor, and health. He does talk about eating healthy, running, and working out a lot, so that didn’t seem to be too far of a stretch. I am mostly wanting him to pass AL in the Best AI poll. I have four grandboys and I really don’t want them looking up to the likes of Adam Lambert. It has nothing to do with him being gay either. I have no problem with that, but it is his choices he makes while performing that I have a problem with.

Hey Kristleme! It was me who talked about AL getting a talk show. A hollywood reporter who has appeared on a morning radio show here in MN for many years & is usually extremely accurate in his info, said that Oprah will be producing a talk show for AL sometime this year. Anyway, I dont want to give him anymore time on FOD, just wanted to clarify.

That equates to 261 votes by AL voters, and 327 votes for DA in the last hour. This is much better than my 1 oclock sampling that had it as 113 AL voters to 85 DA. WHOOHOO, thanks for bringing it on! We can’t relax though, we are still down just over 1000 votes from the advantage we held at midnight so we need to regain that to keep moving forward. Keep doing the great job, I know it’s difficult, we can do it for David!

Hi Kathy- earlier-I said that I may have sensed a little snark in Davids comment coming from the haha he added at the end. I was thinking maybe the siblings that he loves so much, for some reason were getting to him. And the haha was his way of venting. Who knows though as it is really hard to tell through a tweet.
