MORE TV! David will be performing (and hopefully interviewing) on FOX & Friends tomorrow morning. FOX & Friends is the morning show on cable’s FOX News Channel. It’s the cable news channel’s equivalent to the Today Show or Good Morning America. It gets great ratings and the producers already love him! Don’t believe me? Christmas from the Heart PROMO!
HEY GLOIE! Gloie wanted to share her story of promoting Christmas from the Heart. The creativity and ingenuity of David fans! Check out Gloie’s Story O’ Promo and send us yours!
Now this isn’t as exciting at the Today Show, Regis and Kelly or Larry King Live but just wanted to share with you a little way that I promoted David’s Christmas from the Heart CD during the holiday season. I work for Community College of Beaver County in PA. One of our foundation’s annual fundraisers is Holly Day. I have helped out every year with this event since I love fundraising and I am a graduate of the institution. I was asked to be on this year’s committee by our new VP, Community Relations & Development because she knew of my background in community service which included lots of experience in fundraising. I love this kind of work. If I could get paid to be a professional volunteer, I would. LOL The purpose of the event is to ensure that the gift of a sound education is available to our students all year long. This is done through the auction of holiday décor, ornaments, gift baskets and other surprises. In past years most items up for auction were wreaths, centerpieces & holiday décor. This year the committee decided that we wanted to have more baskets! And of course, my first thought was oh my gosh I can put together a Christmas from the Heart basket! Now I wonder what or should I say who would be the centerpiece of this basket. LOL So I started the task of collecting items for the Christmas from the Heart basket. I bet you can’t guess what the first item was! That’s right – David Archuleta’s Christmas from the Heart CD. The basket was filled with ornaments, candy, a Christmas novel, 2 Christmas DVDs, Ty Beanie Reindeer, “Joy to the World” note cards and much more! I really had a lot of fun putting this basket together especially since I knew that so many people would see it at the event. I’ve attached a few pictures so you can see that adorable face in the front of the basket!

Hi everyone I just have to laugh at some of the comments at mjs. The things they say crack me up. Someone was complaining about how he holds his mic. Another person said MOC was too much song for him. My goodness, he sings Ave Maria and O Holy Night. I don’t think MOC is too much for him. It wasn’t the best I have heard David, but he was still better that any other people I hear singing live. He was just so darn endearing that I just loved the performance.

Hey GG! I dont have an account at MJ’s, but could you or someone go over there & pleasantly & diplomatically tell them whats what regarding Davids performance on Regis & Kelly today. First of all he was great, secondly he’s been performing 16 or 17 songs almost every night for weeks, but he goes & tapes this performance, they took out part of the song, so it wasnt exactly like it was on the cd. Thats why I hate to go over there because of the ridiculous things they say, it drives me batty(yeah, I know, short trip,lol). They nit pic everything about his performances. They try to mask these little criticisms by saying oh but he’s such a good guy & he can sing, just not as good this time. Oh & too much song for him? Give me a break. Like someone mentioned earlier, he sings Ave Maria in Latin & Oh Holy Night, WCIT, well you all know. I dont know, these little things they said really got to me today, because some people just cant help but get their little digs in, just because, well, just because. OK, I’m going to shut up now,lol. Thanks for letting me get that out.

Joanie, Thats not what Freud said. He said he saw apple on your lip & pumpkin on your shirt. Evidence that you’ve eaten some pie. You know, you gotta be more careful if you want to pull off the “pie, I havent eaten any pie” trick, you gotta make sure there’s no evidence. Sheeeesh. Freud is quite concerned, frantice really, that there wont be any pie left for Christmas. Oh & another thing, he said he’s bringing a few guests to Christmas dinner. Let me clarify they’re coming “to dinner” NOT to be THE dinner. They’re hoping you will be serving ham or beef. No fowl of any kind. He will be calling you later to ask what to bring. Joanie, I don’t put a great deal of thought into gift buying. I don’t mean I don’t give thoughtful gifts, If I think about a gift too much I end up getting someone something stupid. I sort of go with my first thought and it usually works out pretty well. So shopping does not take weeks, just hours.

Fifteen different Idols appeared on decade-end lists at Billboard, including all “American Idol” winners (except Kris Allen, who was not eligible). Beth well I was over there and yes some felt perhaps this or that and for me well I think MOC was picked for the fact he wrote it as we were discussing it here but basically it hasn’t been too bad over there? what I mean is before they used to really take him out but now yes nit picky I guess (for instance his eyes closed?) but I do see a better all around feeling over there & that is why I personally don’t mind? honestly David is just a human being and ha no one will be perfect and my guess he knows that as well? Hey we had mj post about Boston saying he was great and that in itself is fantastic!
The way I see it David has raised the bar and is knocking it out of the park lately and now folks realize it so looking at it from that point of view and it is ok by me if folks don’t always agree… guess I have a lot of faith in David and his abilities and not too worried?
Joanie, Just tell him its a roast made up to look like a turkey. Also, Freud LOVES bologna, with cheese if it isnt too much trouble. Freud & all his friends are easy to please. They all love bologna. Just so they can partake in some of the side dishes, they’ll be happy. Freud told me to ask, should he pick up a pie given the fact you’ll probably have eaten them all by Christmas dinner. Hey, his words, not mine,lol.

kimk, he did pretty well haha! But he’s David lol!
kimk, Yeah, I know. Its just that I dont care for it. I think part of it is, David is so immensly talented, that its taking longer for some people to catch up to him, in a way. I think he’s had an uphill battle in fighting some peoples perceptions that AI put on David. If they let David sing the songs he wanted, & it just wasnt luck of the draw or that they werent available to sing, they wanted to control his image & not let him show all he could do, he wouldve knocked everyone on their ear with his talant. I guess we just have to wait for the rest of the world to catch up to the rest of us, in figuring out what we already know.

Hey Joanie, I’m doing ok. Glad for the 4 day weekend coming. I’m going to set my VCR for Fox & Friends, but I usually get up pretty early, so I can have it on while I get ready for work, but something tells me he wont be on until the last hour. On the other hand, I think it said they had a few singers, so he could really be on anytime.

Hey Candy! I thought his appearance this morning was great, especially like I said earlier, the man has been singing 16 or 17 songs almost every night for weeks, I think thats one of the reasons he sang that song, I think it was easier on his voice. I think given the fact that he had vocal paralysis a few years ago & everything he’s done since (&including) idol, is beyond amazing. He is a very strong man to deal with everything he has with the class & grace he has. Not to mention an apparent bottomless pit of patience & understanding.

98/ hi candyyyyy! one thing i’ve learned after a year of online fandom… there are some pretty miserable, neurotic, bitter folks whose sole purpose in life is to relieve themselves of the poison inside themselves by spewing a lot of negative energy and passive aggressiveness wherever they can… all in the name of giving ”an opinion”… mj’s attracts that kind of commenter , more often than not, and some days i find it amusing and disturbing to read some of those comments… i wonder if people are sometimes really that silly, or crazy – topped off w/loads of delusion, hahah… makes me wonder what would some of these folks lives be like if they didn’t have an outlet for some of that crazy that unleash over there, and other places… it’s fun offering opposing viewpoints w/people who can form complete sentences, apply some logic and rationality to some of there statements, but how do you reason w/crazy folks, lolol…
ABMS-Lordy girlfriend -those pictures are amazing!!! # 14 & 18 are stunning! The skin, the hair, the closed eyes, the glorious sweat drops and those lips…the man has some gorgeous lips!! He looks so deep in thought, deep in that place he goes! And you have more???

104/GG-Boy you got that right, in the name of an opinion seems to cover a multitude of sins doesnt it. I enjoy a healthy discussion but the venom that is sometimes spewed is anything but David like!! These are the very people that spend time shouting from the highest rooftops about what great fans they are. Seriously?? 106/Russ-I thought he did great too, after being blown right out of my concert seat three nights in a row, maybe I was expecting more of a powerhouse song. Beth is right, the poor guy was in the middle of a rigorous and exhausting tour schedule and had little or no sleep.

I saw David’s performance on Regis and Kelly and, in my opinion, it matters little that he did great or not. The best promotion he got was that Kelly bought (I’m assuming she did) the CD and loves it. That stamp of approval beats anything else, I believe.

Joanie…Did you see my tweet to you? My trip was good. Went to 2 outlet malls and didn’t buy a lot. Just didn’t like what was on sale. What I liked were full price so I skipped them. I was invited by my company’s owner to spend the weekend with him and his wife. Then, monday we drove to our main office in Riverside to discuss some business matters. I got to spend some time with the ladies at our customer service. They help my clients with their orders so I owe them a lot. I gave them some chocolates.

132/kimk- Yes that is Ashley, Austin plays the dobro and Adam the Mandolin…they were so sick they were afraid they werent going to be able to perform, but like David they dug down deep and found the strength!! Alan, the oldest was at one time the lead singer and played acoustic guitar, Andrew played drums and Aaron played the bass fiddle!

Beth, We know how great (UNBELIEVABLE AND STUNNING) David’s voice is and to me there is no such thing as a bad performance from David. He tweeted the other night about he had to get up in 5 hours to go perform at the Today show and he was not sleepy yet, which I think meant he would only get about 4 hours sleep at the most after a concert. At the Today Show he nailed that performance, when he probably should have been a little less amazing. So when someone criticizes any performance they should consider the circumstances.
