Whoo-hoo! I have been waiting for my Boston trip for a long time! My first ever time in Boston:) I knew it would be special. I checked in to the hotel and the lady at the reception was very nice, she said she is a big fan of Virginia, she loved that state, wished me happy birthday and upgraded my room. I told her I am here to see David Archuleta and gave her David’s CFTH cd. She was very happy. It was so freezing in Boston so I could not brace myself to go out explore Boston as much as I could, so after getting frozen on the way from lunch and quick stop at Best Buy ( to check on David where I was notified that CFTH is so popular and they dont have it, the last copy was gone 2 hrs ago ). They also told they are getting more soon. 
Anyway, the rest of the day I spent inside my hotel room with Weather Channel watching my home getting snowed in. Next day I met with my e-friends and we went to the venue. I had VIP and was soo over the top excited.
VIP Songs
That VIP must have been the best in the history of VIPs. We watched sondcheck of the band from the balcony, orchestra was present and they were so fantastic I almost cried. I think David need to have his own orchestra. Kendra was taking a leading role in the soundcheck and was calling which songs they need to rehearse. After the band’s soundcheck we went downstairs to the floor (we had GA set up) and soon David came out..in a SNUGGIE! OMG, I think everybody just died. It was too adorable! He said its very cold and somebody screamed something and David waved the sleeves of the snuggie and said that he would like to think that he looks like a Harry Potter or a ghost. He then realized his sleeve is a little glittery and said its because the snuggie was next to this very glittery bag. Then he asked which song we would like to hear and finally decided to do Pat a Pan. He started signing and was kind of waving with his snuggie and giggled in between pronouncing french words, that made everybody laugh. But he got into the song and magically snuggie disappeared and we only saw David and his powerful voice and angelic light. Which confirms that no matter what David wears, no matter what around him, when David sings the world disappears. After he was PaP he said that he will sing Waiting For Yesterday because that song has such a nice balance. For WFY he took the snuggie off and with a flirty smile just throw it on the floor next to him. It was so cute. He gave it all to us singing WFY, he was on fire! Voice was incredibly strong. Then it was time for Q&A. i will not be covering that many people already know what happened.

The show.
Not going to cover the details but one of the episodes must be mentioned. The epic What Child Is This.
It was amazing. He looked directly into my camera at one point and I was surprised I was still standing..After the song the girls behind me started calling security and when the light was pointed on them they said that somebody fainted. David was so concerned as you could see in the video. But what did he expect? When he sings like that people fall on the floor..that is how it is..it is given. I guess the whole tour was designed strategically so people can sit down while listening to David sing. Standing while listening to David perform songs like POTC, AM, OHN or WCIT is almost impossible.
Westbury
It was amazing as you all saw in videos. My phone died on the train to Westbury (I am pretty sure it was David Archuleta overload) and I could not tweet everything that I wanted to share with you all! AHH!!! I did not have VIP though.
David definitely took the country by storm literally and made a lot of new fans. This tour was an incredible success. It was EPIC.

David Archuleta has stopped by NBC’s “TODAY” show on Monday, December 21 to take the stage for a live performance. The runner-up of “American Idol” season 7 sang a holiday tune called “Angels We Have Heard on High” for the morning show.
Before grabbing the mic and belting out the Christmas carol, David had a chat with the show’s host Meredith Vieira. Talking about what he did to spend the holiday when he was a child, David said he used to go caroling with his family in neighborhoods and in nursing homes.
David Archuleta has just finished his Christmas tour on December 20 in Westbury to support his first holiday album “Christmas From the Heart”. After completing the gig, he will be spending his time to finish his second pop studio album which is expected to be released next year.

I saw a few comments last night that Ray had mentioned to some that David wouldn’t be touring until next fall again???? Whah??? I don’t think I can last that long. I hope the information was wrong
Awesome news about the BillboardLive.com concert being “up” for a month with the word that it will be available as a cd in the future!!!! I just hope they don’t make us wait too long cause my big screen TV was squeeling with delight when i gave it the good news!!

Cant wait for Regis & Kelly and Yes Jenny, I all too well know the “Post concert blues.” What makes it even harder is the possibility that David may not tour till fall and that was an early prediction overheard from Ray. That seems like forever from now!! Of course everyone wants David to be able to give us undivided attention to his next cd…thoughts of not seeing him perform live and getting together with Fod friends till then, well it is depressing! We will all survive but that doesnt mean we wont be missing the heck out of David and each other!

”Putting off touring gives him the chance to focus only on his album! …. He needs the time to perfect and put out his best work. That requires a LOT of time. ”

the second pop cd is crucial, very crucial in the momentum of david’s career… imo, it’s creation, production, focus and release should take priority over everything else… david needs the time in the interim to really focus on this, and his label and mgmt team need to really be doing some great planning and strategizing to promo and market this one as effectively as possible… he’s been go, go, go since the finale, has had 3-4 tours that have been great, and now it’s time to really focus on making the absolute best pop cd he can… if waiting till fall to see him on tour again is the sacrifice made to ensure a stellar 2nd pop cd, one that helps secure his place as a singer and pop artist, i’m willing to endure and hold out till fall… just want him to be really focused and ready to deliver that killer cd
David needs to keep somewhat in the public eye for the best return with his new CD I would think.
Sure there will be many opportunities… ha he could even lend himself to a duet on someone’s upcoming CD… and maybe be on said video and even appear on stage with them….

57/ can’t say for certain, but i can see them possibly having a single ready for release before the cd releases… and there should be some effort on behalf of the label and his management team to secure appearances and promo that keeps his face and name in the public eye during this time… that’s my hope anyway… the importance of taking the right amount of time to craft this 2nd pop cd cannot be overstated… it will be highly scrutinized, even more so than the first, so it really must be produced and crafted well to give david a good relaunch back into the pop arena….

66/ hi candyyyyyyyyy – that’s where his mgmt team needs to step up and secure interim appearances and promo to keep his face and name out there… david has proven he is one heck of a dynamic performer this past year, and it will behoove them, and the label, to work their behinds off to keep his profile before the public… that is the key to keeping and holding the casual fans interest until the second cd is ready for release… my eye will be watching the promo and marketing efforts for him during that time…. the mgmt team and the label need to really step up their game in this area, and if they do, then i think he’ll meet with success up till release date… that’s my hope…

Candy: Those fence sitters would probably not continue to follow David anyway. You either love him or you don’t. I find that true with everyone I meet. Some just don’t like his style of music, some don’t like his voice. Say what? I kid you not…I’ve actually had people say that to me. They’re usually the hard rock people who love all those screaming vocals.
My son’s girlfriend told me the other day, that if I want to go see some Broadway type shows in downtown Seattle, she’d love to go with me. Seattle doesn’t scare her at all.
I enjoyed the Elvis show the other night so much and really need to get out and do things like that more often. I love live performances of any kind if they’re good. Must keep myself occupied until I can see David again.

Back from our truly amazing NY trip, getting ready for work & waiting to see David on Regis & Kelly but wanted to say a quick hello! In our hearts didn’t think anything could top seeing David in our hometown of Baltimore, but Westbury was really special as was being at the Today Show for David!
Candy- I bought the Christmas CD for everyone in my family and my friends, it was alittle extra present to top off the gifts. They all think I’m nuts already!

163, thanks GG, Kimk, yes, I had a great a lot of fun, ate a lot of food & saw a lot of nice shows. Climb up & down (900 feet) the Dunn River Falls in Jamaica, went to Hell (Hell city) in Cayman Island. The weather was excellent.
I think MOC is a good choice. It shows his talent that he wrote it & it is different from the traditional CM songs.

The venue in Westbury was like a half semi-circle — it was really neat — even David said he liked the way it looked – David always feels best in an intimate setting — hmmm maybe that could have something to do with why he was able TO “LET GO” perhaps?? Boy, I loved it…how he rolled with the punches, and even that so-called DIVA move where he stepped in front of Ray – David is still polite in how he does it — sort of like tapping Ray on the shoulder as if to say “Uh, excuse me but THIS IS my show!” haha

Also the weather is not bad at all. I know a lot of people moved from north because it was too cold, lived in Florida for a few year & were not happy because it was too hot, then moved back halfway to Tennessee & love it.

201/Kimk-I know what you mean, he is 19 in a few days and to survive in the music business, living full time in Murray would be counterproductive. LA, Nashville are NY are where he would need to be a least part of the year. I dont see him ever making a permanent move from his hometown, staying for extended periods in other places could be what works best.

This is a random story, but years ago I was the chaperone for a Theatre Holiday trip to New York. One of our free lunches was at Tavern on the Green. All of the ladies (around 60 of them) were so excited. Everyone was oohing and ahhing about the decor and the ambience. We were all seated and all at once one of the ladies squealed. She was facing the window, so of course we all looked out the window and right outside the window was a whole family of huge rats scurrying around. 60 women can make a lot of noise when they see a mouse so you can imagine the clamor when they saw a bunch of huge rats. Most of the staff came over to see what the problem was. They acted like they thought we were nuts. Must be a New York thing. I explained we were all from the midwest and most of us had only seen domestic rats, not the real thing. They closed the curtain which I don’t think was suppose to be closed, and we went on with our lunch. Some of us didn’t have much of an appetite. Whenever I hear anything about Tavern on the Green, I think of rats.

Good morning FOD!! And Merry al,ost Christmas! This might be a little long, because I have been trying to explain to myself what is or has happened to me! And I think all of you here will understand, I hope! Something has shifted in me about my feelings for David, well not for him, but about him! It happened Sunday night after the cell cast and seeing the videos of his last Christmas show! I have spent the last almost 2 years in almost constant prayer and butterflies in my stomach in anticipation of all things David! For the Lord to bless him, keep him well, that he gets the proper rest, etc,. etc!! I wake up every morning with a David song in my head! That his CD would sell well, that he would get the recognition he deserves and on and on and on!! I don’t know, call it mother worry or fan angst or ??? But after seeing him work the stage as if he had been there his whole life, knowing how comfortable he was up there and his level of growth through this past year, I know how happy he is with the way it has worked out for him! I suddenly have this peace and quietude about my feelings for him! My love for him will never go away, no matter where his path in life takes him, and I will continue to do all the David duties we as fans share and take all of GGs orders gratefully, because she keeps us on our toes! But, there is this new peace, maybe less worry (well I will always worry about his safety and health!) I guess I still don’t quite have the words, I just know there is a change in my soul about David! He is heading toward the next level in his career and his life! And we as his fans must evolve with him and embrace any changes that come into his career! OK! I’m just babbling now! Still can’t put it into precise words! I hope someone here can help me understand this!!

kimk ~ Hello! I think I may become spoiled this week with all of David’s TV performances. I can’t wait to see him on Larry King tomorrow night. I think Larry is a fanboy. lol
CM: What a wonderful heart-felt post! With everyone talking about David moving to Nashville, it reminds me so much of how I felt the day my oldest son moved out of our home. I’m kind of feeling the same about David today. We’ve fretted over him, defended him when he was attacked unjustly, cried for him when we knew that he had to be hurting although he never once showed it, laughed at his wonderful tweets, adored him when he was just plain cute. Some of us even hugged him when meeting him.
Although our job as fans is never-ending, I think that perhaps our role as the surrogate parent is. The next time we see David in person, he will be nearly 20yo…truly a man. I am already nervous about that next meeting. He won’t be a boy anymore..not even a teen. I just don’t think I’ll be asking a 20yo David for hug.

Argh..guess I’m not going to be able to record David on my DVR after all. There’s a local breaking news press conference regarding the shooting of those 2 police officers yesterday. That makes 6 in the past few weeks in Pierce County. (Tacoma) Just read that crime is down in most cities expect in Seattle, where it’s rising. Unemployment around here is making a mark for sure.

#289 DFT: The Seattle/Tacoma area can be pretty extreme at times. Remember the riots a few years back during the WTO thing? That was pretty scary. It’s why I don’t go into the city very often and was a bit spooked when I went to the KISS station last year to meet David. It was still dark out when I got there, but had Kristyl with me so did ok. I usually just venture into the city on nice sunny summer days just go to the waterfront to catch a ferry or to the Woodland Park Zoo.
Oh well…I have that wonderful HQ video of David this morning to watch..so that will do.
Just watched David on the Regis & Kelly Utube video with NO SOUND! GAH! Gotta wait 6 more hours until I can actually HEAR IT! OMG! He looks so much older and mature, and rockin’ out I must say! Can’t wait to hear it.

I was very glad to meet you in Stroudsburg also. Wish the weather didn’t make us hurry our trip back home. I would have liked to stay longer and visit. Maybe we will meet agin some day at another David concert. I sure hope so.
Loved, loved the concert. It was the first VIP for me and the first time I had ever seen him up close. What a beautiful man to look at and we all know he has a beautiful heart also.
kimk ~ I’m already jealous of his future wife, haha. Really, he’s like a son to me (since I have one the same age), but although I’m old enough to be his mother, my eyes still work and he is a handsome young man. I always tell my husband that when I look at a gorgeous young man I am just admiring God’s handiwork, nothing more… LOL

Yes, Burkey! It was so pretty! It snowed but I don’t think it was as bad as forcasted, in Stroudsburg anyway. We stayed an extra day in order to avoid the huge storm in the Baltimore area. When we left the roads were nice and clean! The snow plowers did a great job!

My daughter and I were talking about handsome men the other day, men that we wouldn’t mind having posters up around the house..our husbands were talking about beautiful women. It was so amazing to be above the stage where we were and watch Davids hands skillfully move across the keyboard while he played and sang. I heard about the little girl with the ear plugs but somehow I missed seeing it.
Our box was eye level to David but we could also watch David play the keyboard. It was just awesome being there with everyone.

Can’t believe some of Archie angels don’t know Fox & Friends. Yes, they are equivalent as Today and other CBS moring shows. But they are nothing like those shows…..they are fun, cool, more intelligent shows. I tweeted to Fox & Friends to ask them to invite David when he released CFTH.
