So last night was an interesting attempt by Billboard LIVE to live stream a whooole lot of cameras at one time. My experience with that was … interesting at the beginning for sure, even with a computer hard connected to the cable modem. I sure would have loved to be a fly on the wall in the control booth by the Archuworld’s Total Crushing Domination of their bandwidth!!
I found myself refeshing quite a bit and finding several… interesting… camera angles (when they actually were available). Did anything seem to help your David Archuleta Billboard LIVE experience? (I still love that word you know haha) ? Let me know in the comments below!

Topsfield – Topsfield’s own pop rock duo, Michael and Marisa, have played with several national performers in their young careers, but on Dec. 19 they will be opening for season 7 American Idol star David Archuleta at Boston’s House of Blues.
Michael and Marisa, ages 11 and 12, will open for Archuleta, the runner-up in the 2008 American Idol season, on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.). Archuleta’s concert tour is called “Christmas from the Heart” where fans will have the chance to hear him sing his favorite Christmas songs as well as songs from his self-titled album which made the Billboard Hot 100. The two have graced local venues such as the Topsfield Fair but their resume spans over 200 engagements, including performances in such famed venues as the Whiskey A Go Go in Hollywood, Hard Rock Café Boston, The House of Blues, and Rocketown in the heart of Downtown Nashville, to name a few.
Even at a young age, Michael and Marisa have developed a committed fan base and favorable industry recognition for the success of their debut album, “Kickin’ it Together.” On a local and regional level, they have performed at some of the best venues in the northeast including Gillette Stadium, the Boston Harborfest Concert Stage, House of Blues and Hard Rock Cafe. The band is managed by Aimee Berger of Primary Wave Music in New York City, home to Kurt Cobain, Steven Tyler, Hall & Oates. GG, Argghhh! Dang this weather!! I texted my BFFs who are there and told them they should NOT try to drive home in bad weather. They should stay over til the weather clears! t coul be fun for them, I think, and then we won’t have to worry about them driving in a terrible snowstorm! GG, oh, it shuld be lots of fun tonight!! The Christmas concert is in Abravanel Hall, the same place David did his concert here in SLC. What memories I have of those two wonderful nights! Gail, I enjoyed the broadcast last night although I was a bit frustrated at the beginning. I had to refresh several times. I kept with one camera, director’s cut. Every time a moving ad from my cable company would come on at the top of the page the sound and pic would hesitate. Drove me nuts. Is it because there were so many of us watching or does that have to do with my IP through the cable co? I have not yet had time to watch the on demand video, but I’m hoping that’s better.
Holly, oh, that Billboard concert last night was AMAZING!! I loved it. David was wonderful!!
Joanie – I think he was particularly fabulous on the Christmas songs. Those mics were very sensitive and he was pitch perfect the whole time. Silent Night was out of this world.
On tweeter when David was explaining all about the color of his toothbrush it just made me laugh because he always goes into such detail about everything. My youngest daughter who is 18 also does the same thing and were always saying just get to the point please, but it is so endearing and that’s why we love him so. Can you imagine when his kids will ask him questions. I hope they’ll be patient when they’re getting their answers. He will be very specific and very informative! Such a dear he is.
Holly, I agree! I thought David was confident and his voice was so strong! Oh, every Christmas song he sings just sends chills down my spine! Ahhh!

Hello FOD!!! I can’t wait for David in two days!!! I really hope that the weather holds out for me!!
#68 pattiNC: I can watch the Billboard concert on my son’s computer much better than on mine. His was built for games and has a very fast processor and state of the art graphics and video cards. Even so, I can’t get the Pop part of the concert to work well at all. It stabilizes pretty much when I forward to HYAMLC. The HD still goes in and out on me, but I can enjoy the Christmas portion much more than the Pop portion. Billboardlive needs to do something about it…like do away with all the moving advertisements while viewing the concert. I read many similar complaints from Daughtry’s fans regarding his Billboard concert.

#108 MrsMary: Who’s telling them they have to sit during ZG? That makes no sense at all. I can understand, and agree, that when David is singing slow songs that everyone should sit, but not during the upbeat, can’t sit still, songs.
David loves it when the audience is on their feet and into the music.
Drove me nuts during the 1st concert in SLC that so many in the front row stood for the entire concert..even during songs like Ave Maria, Silent Night and O Holy Night. No one sitting behind them could see David at all. That’s just downright rude in my book. When he’s dancing all over the stage..that’s a whole other scenario.

110/ it’s mainly drizzling raining with flurries mixed in… the temp is dropping, so if this stuff freezes, it will be messy messy in the am… the bf is salting /sanding down the walkways and the driveways now, and we made sure to pick up some extra candles and batteries and other supplies in case we lose power, which would be worst case scenario… we have a woodburning fireplace w/plenty of cut wood to burn if worse comes to worse, so we’ll see what happens….

Lisa: A girl asked him what color his toothbrush was. his answer was ridiculusly long he went into such detail haha. @DavidArchie said it was blueish green and then he said white then tourquise haha but its more blue than tourquise. and its a regular one. Not mechanical haha then he demonstrated how he brushes his teeth then he said sometimes he brushes once a day and sometimes 3 times haha.

when i sit back and reflect on this year, it’s been a great year of good music and good times, hi’s, lows and everything in between for david and all the fans… we’ve held fast in the face of a lot of things that could have broken us down, torn us apart as a fanbase, but we’ve kept our focus on our goal, we’ve stayed deeply devoted and committed to supporting david – day in and out, in ways big and small, seen and unseen… all important, all valuable…. david has delighted and thrilled us from sea to shining sea, across the pond, and all over the world, and what is so amazing and wonderful for me is seeing so many people, of so many different demographics, being drawn together in unity and commitment, in joy and goodwill, in order to show david the love and appreciation for all his hard work and sacrifice in putting himself out there for us, day in and out… that’s a pretty tall order for anyone, let alone an 18 year old, and i just become more anchored each day in my belief and assurance that we have backed a real winner, and we will be even more committed to being the ”wind beneath his wings” going into 2010…

I am a fan of both David and Clay’s. I don’t think your poll here is too meaningful. Clay’s was released in Nov of 2004, and tho it opened at #2 on Billboard and sold over 1,200,000 by the end of that December, it still sells today, but will draw much fewer votes today that it would have previously. I think it has sold about 200,000 since 2005. You know, there are still CDs available for Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, and Elvis, just like there are of Michael Jackson. I am sure David’s CD will sell for years, because it is beautiful and one of the timeless types, like Clay’s.
Keep supporting your guy – it is a fun thing to do, especially where he is one who is worthy of your support.
