So funny stuff coming out of the Balitmore Twitter list last night, including from David Archuleta himself. Hmmmm…what happens in Baltimore, stays in Baltimore?
Intrigue aside, another stellar night for David as he wows yet another city (a really fantastic city at that).
Syesha Mercado, American Idol Season 7 Third Place finisher, was able to catch the show as she was in Baltimore touring with her Broadway HIT, “Dreamgirls.” Check it out. She wasn’t able to sing with David as she has a sinus infection. DANG! She’s got amazing pipes. But awwww….She thinks he’s an angel.
I’ll post the only early videos here, but keep checking the playlist below throughout the day as I’ll add them all to that.

Other BBL/OWL TV news
Some of you are wondering if there is software to download to watch David in HD from Mashantucket, CT tomorrow night. The short answer is “yes,” but it’s super-easy and takes a few seconds. Starting TOMORROW once you head over the the site (by clicking the link below and bookmarking it so you have it ready), if you don’t already have a current version of Microsoft Silverlight, you’ll be prompted to install it. Follow the directions, restart your browser and you’re set to go.
MAC users: I experimented during the Daughtry and Imogen Heap shows and found that my Safari browser was much more compliant when it came to running the Silverlight than Firefox. I have no idea if this is just me, but if you find that you’re having trouble with Firefox, move right to Safari and you’ll be fine.
Also, please be sure to tweet OWL DURING the show with your questions for David. After the show, McKenna will be interviewing David LIVE!!!! This is really the coolest thing ever. EVER.

My Cleveland Pics!
Unfortunately, I have the same disclaimer as many of you: the fog machine thingymabopper left lots of residual fake fog in the air. Now, at the show, you’ll notice a light show like no other for David, and I think the fake fog lingering makes for more dramatic lighting. So it’s all good.
This is what I was able to get in Cleveland. Not too much pictures, but I was rendered incapable of voluntary movement for most of the show. Except for jumping.

Thanks for indulging me for one minute as I bring you a “moment” from my David Archuleta concert experience. COME BAAAACKK!! You don’t need your tissues for this one!!
During Feliz Navidad, although staying safely on the stage (there were no steps down in Cleveland), he did manage to stick the microphone is some poor, unsuspecting fan’s face! My buddy Roberta had the honor of being put on the spot in front of a couple of thousand people! And she did what any self-respecting, fun-loving DA fan would do. She shook her head VIOLENTLY and looked at David with pleading eyes as if to say, “AHHHHHHHHH!” I was standing right next to her, but apparently I am a midget as I am nowhere to be found. At the last second he swings the mic towards me, but mercifully there wasn’t time to try to find another victim.

Tina: The test was done on Monday. Drs. are freaked about my EKG..heart is not sending electrical pulses, which is what’s causing the arrhythmia. Waiting on consultation with my Dr to see where we go from here. Thought he’d call by now, but think maybe he’s consulting with specialists first. Ugh! I hate the whole getting older thing.
I watched just a part of mulder’s HYAMLC and started crying. What the heck is wrong with me? I can’t seem to get through any of David’s videos without the water spigot being turned to the on position.

JoyF: Oh! I guess I lost track of my days! I hope that the docs can figure something out for you. They tend to take their own sweet time…although I can say that it’s been my experience that the longer they wait to contact you, the less serious the news. I know some people who have had those stress tests and the doc called them the same day or in some cases never let them leave the office. That was always bad news. I’m gonna pray for happy news for ya!
I watched that HYAMLC before I came into work this morning. It’s amazing! mulder is a great videographer — and that camera of hers is magic. Her Ave Maria vid from Cleveland about killed me last night. Have you seen that one? I waited all day to watch it because I knew I’d want to be at home for it. I was right!

I think it’s going to be a long wait for her. LOL

I was at Rockford with my sister and my niece. My niece and I had VIP (my sis was not so much as fan as along for the ride, lol, although after that show she BECAME a fan!) so we were 2nd row center. You were just 3 rows away! You probably saw me jumping like a crazy person during ZG!

My niece just jabbered away at him so I guess it took the pressure off of me trying to think of something to say, lol. David was so sweet to her, too. She’s just talking and talking and he was like, “Uh huh. Wow! Aw, thanks!” and kept smiling. Poor David. He doesn’t know that you should never encourage her. She will talk your ear off. ha!

Joy4archie: Definitely! I’m guessing you’re somewhere in the Illinois area? So not too far from me. And since David never seems to want to have shows near me — I guess I’ll be traveling again to see him. Whenever that may be! And I hope hope hope that he continues to do the VIP. I really liked the smaller size of the VIP in Rockford, though. Only about 20 of us. Much less rushed and David seemed more at ease and open. He ate some food and chatted. He even brought his laptop in the room to let us listen to a couple of his favorite songs. It was awesome

Tina….that Rockford VIP sounds like it was awesome! I have only been able to afford the one this summer in St. Louis. I hope there will be more VIPs in the future because I want to take my hubby and son to one.

I almost went to the St. Louis show! But I had gotten back from my long Louisville/Rockford roadtrip just a week or so before and decided not to since it wasn’t a solo show. I regretted it the night of the show! That whole day actually, I was so antsy. I kept thinking, if I left now I could still make it! lol.
Tina- Yes I live in Mattoon, IL. It’s about 3 hours south of Chicago. And that’s awesome that David was all laid back and more himself. I would love to see him like that. I think I am forever spoiled on vips. haha!!!

Kathy….David just does that to songs…doesn’t he? There are some songs he has done that I was indifferent to and when he sings them it’s like a whole new song to me. Just incredible!

Kathy: POTC in KC about killed me. I’ve never been so moved by that song as I was that night. It was amazing! David just inhabits any song that he sings.
Joy4archie: I think the summer VIPs were smaller because there were more shows to choose from. This tour only had 20-some dates so I can see the demand was high for VIP at those concerts. And even on the summer tour there were some VIPs that were quite large as well. I think someone said that the Seattle VIP had around 100 people in it. I guess I just got lucky in Rockford. I’m not sure why more VIPs didn’t get sold for that one… Hey, being just 3 hours south of Chicago you probably get a chance to see quite a few concerts! I’m 4 hours from nowhere, lol. It took about 10 hours to drive home from Rockford. Worth ever second of it, though!
Just watched ZG from last night! What a fun song for both David and the audience.
Tina, you’re so right. He is so very wise and well grounded, and an inspiration. I’m hoping for a reasonably sized vip on Friday for all of us that will be there.
#81 Tina: Seattle had about 75 people because all the folks who bought VIPs for Portland (including me) had to transfer their VIPs to Seattle when Portland was canceled. Small crowd compared to the nearly 200 at both VIPs in SLC.

JoyF: I knew there was some reason that the VIP in Seattle was so large. Had forgotten about the Portland cancellation! While SLC was great fun and I met a ton of awesome people in VIP, I really would like the smaller group. Of course the down side of that is that it makes it much harder to get a VIP on the smaller tours. And I would feel bad taking a VIP from someone who had never had the chance before. It made me happy that I didn’t have to worry about that in SLC.

Hey – got a question for any of you who have participated in the Team Archie gifting campaign.
I signed up yesterday for the first time and received an email of who I was going to sponsor. The person I was assigned lives in the Philippines — which is fine but I had a question. I have no problem with buying a CD and shipping it to the Philippines but I feel like maybe I’m missing something here. I just shipped a package to a friend in the Philippines earlier this week – it cost $80 in shipping charges for a tshirt and a small necklace. Going on this, I assume the CD will be AT LEAST $50 to ship. It would seem to make more sense to me to be able to send the money for the person in the Philippines to buy the CD themselves — shoot, I could sponsor 6 or 7 or 8 people for what it will cost me to buy one CD here and have it shipped there. SO! Am I missing something here? Is there some cheaper shipping method that I don’t know about? Or should I just proceed with buying here and shipping FedEx? Have any of you guys done the CD gifting internationally? Any info would be appreciated.
Just wondering before I do this for the first time. Want to make sure I’m not misunderstanding anything. Because goodness knows I usually miss what’s right in front of my face!

Tina, I gifted to To different people in the Philipines and it didn’t cost that much One person I sent one CD and the other I sent 2 and it was 8.00 and 10.00…wasn’t to bad at all. That was David’s first CD….I actually like to mail the physical CD than to gift on itunes because some that i gifted has never been picked up or whatever you want to call it, LOL, sorry about that brain is not working today! LOL

I shipped to the Philippines last year, it cost me less than $10.00 I want to say around $3-5 for a CD, I am from MI. It depends on what you are shipping of course. I used the post office though!
I sent a CD yesterday to Brazil and Indonesia, it cost around $3-4 per CD for each country. $50.00? Was that via post office?

Thanks for the info. I was shipping FedEx. Someone told me that was the best way to go for a package to the Philippines to make sure it would get there. LOL, obviously it was the more expensive way to go
I will say that I just checked on it and it’s already in China and is scheduled to be delivered on Friday or Saturday. I just shipped it out at 4pm on Monday.
BUT, I will definitely stick with the post office for the CD. I was trying to figure out how it would make sense to spend that kind of money to send one CD. I was thinking I needed to send this girl 4 or 5 CDs just to make it worth my while. ha!

OH, that package I sent was Priority shipping too. I should have thought of that. Makes a big difference in cost…

Pam: I shipped FedEx international priority. I wanted to be sure it got there before Christmas. And then for some reason in my brain it did not click when I was thinking about what it would cost to send this CD that I would not be sending it priority mail. lol. I’m kind of dense sometimes…
You need to do a Standard shipping, ask for the cheapest shipping rate. 1st class shipping will cost around $60-80 in order to get the CD to Brazil or Indonesia around Xmas time. (Must be airfaire) Is that what you did maybe? That’s what the post office told me, I was like

Pam: Yup! That was it. The package that I sent on Monday was a gift for a friend of mine. So I wanted to be SURE it got there in time. With the CD, time won’t be so much of an issue so I can just go regular postage. LOL. Relief for me! I was thinking — man, that’s gonna be expensive to ship! And for a $13 CD, no less!

Fun story to share…
I had to go into another teacher’s room today, I teach preschoolers, and what do you think I heard on the CD player?? David singing “I’ll Be Home for Christmas!” I asked, “Who is this?” (even though I knew, wanted to see her response.) She said, “It’s David Archuleta, I just love his Christmas CD, I play it all the time!” How did I not know this?! She has great taste in music.
Also, I’m giving David’s Christmas CD as teacher gifts this year, spreading the joy!

the only back-up was the band but the lighting and scenery was beautiful and added to the spirit of David. He sang POTC and when I knew he was going to sing it I about melted. The way he sings it just reaches into my heart and I hold my breath. When he introduced that song and others – you could see and hear what he thinks and feels – so special. I am sorry you and FG couldn’t go but I hope you enjoy the videos

Love it when David pops up everywhere and you hear his love spread to people and then they share his music with others and they feel the love too, and on and on – makes the world feel happier to me when I hear him sing
Hi TIna – sounds like yummy fudge – I am not a peanut butter person (straight up chocolate for me) but I would have enjoyed it anyway. The vids from “Archuleta Avenue” who I think is Wands are to die for. Wish you could have been there. POTC just went right through my heart – first time I heard him sing it. The band was great – and you can tell Steve thinks he is incredible. I just found a friend today who needs a gift and loves David so I know where another one is going to – so fun to surprise people. I took one to Hospice last week and one of the receptionists of course knew who David was and said she loved his voice. YEAH
