I shot some pretty good videos during the 2nd concert in SLC. If you like any of them, I wouldn’t mind sharing them. Unfortunately, I was sitting to David’s left, so his arm and the mic hide his beautiful face in a lot of the videos, but the audio is really good because I was sitting right in front of the speaker. –Joy

Concert Recaps!

Ann Arbor

I don’t even believe that last night happened. Last night my family went to the Ann Arbor show. It all seemed like another world or a dream or something. It was unbelievable. Of course all of you who have seen David in concert live know how amazing he is, but this was different. The orchestra was gorgeous, and David just added to all the gorgeousness. It’s amazing how David, who has akward conversations and can’t fully explain things through talking, can sing and make the whole world understand what he’s trying to get across to people. It was phenomonal. I won’t ever get over how he can do that. But that’s the power of music too. I don’t think I had a favorite of the night, since I was in awe for every song. I really liked the music for Zero Gravity. It was really cool, but so weird, because I wanted to get up and dance =]. He said something like “This is usually the song where people get up and dance and I jump around, but I don’t think I’ll be doing that here.” Crush also had a really cool arrangement. He played 1000 Miles on the grand piano, and it was probably my favorite performance of him doing that song. I don’t know why, but I was just so into the moment with it I guess. And the encore O Holy Night was pure amazingness. The whole concert was. The orchestra did awesome the whole night, and I was so glad we got to go. Thank you Kim for donating the tickets. This was definately one of the best concerts ever, and the sound was so clear and beautiful.

I hated how we weren’t allowed to take video, but I took a few videos in my purse, and the sound came out pretty clear. I’ll post the Zero Gravity one for now, and I’m going to make some slideshows for the other songs. And here are a few pictures I took at the end. Sorry they are really far away, but that’s as far as my camera would zoom.

Hi, I am lettie 2-Carol………….I would like to attempt to tell you of my SLC experience. I’m not sure how to explain the wonder of it all, but I will do my best! I met so many wonderful people. DFT, Tina, Joanie, Lizardj, Sylvia, Jeani/ut, Pamtimmie, Jana, Julie4ever, Nancy, Shelly, Chase, GenGen and many, many more! I can’t forget how wonderful it was to hear Richard talk and sing for us at the FOD brunch and to actually meet Brett and his wife Cindy! what an honor!! When JoyF and I started talking about this trip and making plans, I had know idea what would happen. I didn’t know that I would meet so many people and feel so much love and respect for everyone! That one young man can bring so many people together and be able to share so much love, is just an awesome feeling!

Getting ready for the VIP and meeting everyone in line….what an experience! I felt like I was around so many celebrities!! LOL! Then Kristen talked with us for awhile and then we got to go to soundcheck! WOW! I tell you when you see David at a VIP and he is just so warm and caring to everyone, it is a heart getter and then he sings and your done! Even in soundcheck he is IT! Nobody can do that!!

The concerts, well, just the most awesome time in the world!! To see David up on that stage and sing those songs and to know that his Christmas music means so much to him, just makes it even more special! David and his Mom was a special, special time. You could tell how much David loves his Mom and how much his Mom loves him. I feel very honored to have been able to experience those moments, very special!

Joyf and I decided that if we could get tickets we would go to both concerts, because who knows when we would have another chance!! LOL! thank goodness we decided to do that!! It was the best time I have ever had!!

Because of David I actually took an airplane….very first time!! I am so glad to have been able to experience all. Thank You to everyone I meet in SLC! You have made me a better person knowing all of you and I hope that we can all meet again and hear David do his magic!!
