Yes Virginia…there is a Santa Claus…
We know this because there will be a cellcast tonight, beginning at 7:45 p.m. ET. David is set to take the stage at 8 p.m. ET.
Thanks so much to Annalisa of David Archuleta Italia and Nes of….um….well, Nes. They are jumping in last minute today as your regular cellcasters are a) not home, b) not home and don’t have the techincal capabilities or c) not home because they are at the venue in Ann Arbor as we speak.
So HUGE thanks to Anny and Nes! It’ll be fantastic!!!
PLEASE NOTE: There is a STRICT policy towards phones and cameras tonight. They will be checking bags apparently. Be prepared for either no cellcast or one that goes in and out.

Thanks sj: First time I’ve ever recorded a concert too. Was concerned that I was sitting too close to the speaker..it was right in front of me, but it turned out pretty good. I’ll be downloading more over the next few days, but don’t think any will be as good as this one simply because the piano was sitting back further from the edge of the stage. I was too close the 2nd night, and not close enough the first.
Man…i hope someone is getting some video of this concert…this cellcast isn’t doing it for me..haha

abms: Something magical happened at those two concerts for those of us who were there…and I believe none of us will ever be the same again. David shared his heart with us…sincerely and completely… he imparted so much wisdom to us….when he sang the words…”love one another…” it was so meaningful….I hope with all my heart some people who have lost their focus as David Archuleta fans take those words to heart. Who could listen to David and still think this is a competition about who is a “good fan” and who they judge to not be as “good” as them. *sigh* David is not judgmental….he loves us all.

abms: He does sing with such reverence. He doesn’t just sing words on a page….he feels the message so deeply, and he has a way of making us feel the same way! His singing goes straight to our hearts…from his heart to ours. When he sang “O Holy Night” (my favorite, BTW) it was like an arrow piercing my heart! And when he bowed his head in a moment of prayer at the end…it was a moment filled with such depth of devotion that we were all moved to tears of happiness!

Joanie, no, I don’t think the Stroudsburg concert is going to be in a dive. I think it is an old theater. I will try to get a picture of it.
I’m on my husband’s computer as I’m uploading my videos from the 1st concert onto my hard drive. Not sure what song David’s singing, but it looks pretty awesome from here. (Don’t have the sound turned up because I’m not alone back here) So anxious to see what I ended up with.

#111 Russ: Don’t lose heart. I went to a Collin Raye Christmas concert in a very musty smelling, and very old church in Tacoma a few years back, but the acoustics were amazing. A small version of the Seattle Symphony accompanied him and it sounded wonderful. So just because it’s old, doesn’t mean it won’t surprise you.

Hey Joanie! I was listening to the cellcast & watching the TV show Monk. Its part 1 of a 2 part series finale. Had to watch it. I sure hope there are videos. That side view of David singing Oh Holy Night from Tuesday & the little prayer at the end, was just the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard & seen. Gosh, hope your back feels better real soon.

Someone tweeted they are writing a review of the concert for the Grand Rapids Press tommorrow. They said they have alot of good things to say. They also said there wasnt a dry eye in the house when he sang Ave Maria & that they themselves have never cried at a concert until now.

203/ this is what needs to be written up about david, and his knack for making those deep emotional connections w/the audience… it’s what sets him apart from 99 percent of the singers out there today… he draws you in, keeps you transfixed on every note, every word, every nuance of phrasing until your guards are down, and you feel the music, not just hear it… i want to feel the music and hear it, and those singers who can do that for me have a fan for life…. feel the music makes gets

Joanie, LOL. No, he had it in the smallest little billfold I ever saw. He had it in one of his pockets of his snazzy new plaid blazer. I told him if he wanted to blend in with the crowd so he wasnt mistaken for a turkey yesterday, wearing a plaid jacket wasnt the way to go. He thought he was being clever hiding in plain sight. No one would ever expect him to be right out there, wearing a plaid jacket. Of course, he had the fake nose & glasses disguise, so people just walked right by him.

Joanie, I am trying to come around more often. I wish I could have gone to the Wednesday morning gatheing. My kids had come back from college and since I had abandoned everyone on Tuesday all afternoon and evening, I felt like I could leave them again. I ended up waking up very sick on Wednesday morning, so it was for the best.

220/ i know what you mean…. i have never listened to aretha’s franklin’s gospel album ”amazing grace” without feeling the presence of ”the spirit”, or whatever one wants to call it… so strongly that on certain songs, when she opens up that voice of hers and just let’s it all go, i’ve found myself on my face, overcome with so much emotion, feeling as if a window into that spiritual realm that remains hidden opened up just a crack, and allowed me in to feel the joy and glory of being ”at one” with it… music, in the hands and voice of the right singer, can and is a deeply emotional and spiritual thing, if you open yourself up to receive it… i grew up listening to a lotta gospel greats – mahalia jackson, inez andrews, sam cooke before he went pop, james cleveland… all these can take me there, but aretha and that album transport me to another realm…
