Archuleta at Stadium of Fire?
America’s Freedom Festival at Provo officially released today the final online poll for the Stadium of Fire’s “Vote the Voice” event.
After aggressive grassroots and viral lobbying among thousands of fans, the community may now choose between David Archuleta, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Bon Jovi and Eric Dodge to become a potential performer in a future July 4 Stadium of Fire celebration.
Fans must visit the Freedom Festival’s Facebook page to access a link to the new online ballot. Over 15,000 votes have been cast since Oct. 15 to narrow the list of favorite contenders to five. The new online poll of five names is comprised of leading nominees from the last two phases of the Freedom Festival’s “Vote the Voice” campaign—an ongoing vote held since September on the festival’s Twitter and Facebook pages.
Apparently, David Archuleta fans dominated Twitter discussions about Vote the Voice. Their lobbying for the American Idol runner-up was so relentless, one of the largest David Archuleta fan pages on Twitter took notice and encouraged its thousands of followers to get involved.
Members of the community should visit the Freedom Festival’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/freedomfestival to learn more about how to vote for their favorite performers. Fans can also stay up to date with Vote the Voice on Twitter at www.twitter.com/freedmfestprovo.

D.C. Dish: Scott Hamilton, Kristi Yamaguchi, Dorothy Hamill Ice Skate for Cancer Awareness
Famous ice skaters, cancer survivors, singers and celebrities are in Washington, D.C., to tape a TV special “Kaleidoscope on Ice” which will air on November 26 on Fox. The ice skating performances are part of a special to raise awareness of women and cancer.
Scott Hamilton, Dorothy Hamill, Kristi Yamaguchi, Nancy Kerrigan, David Foster, Charlie White, Meryl Davis, and David Archuleta are staying at hotel Liaison Capitol Hill. Sunday night, they all had dinner at the restaurant Art and Soul. The singer Olivia Newton John, a breast cancer survivor, also dined at Art and Soul on Saturday night. The skaters and celebrities mixed and mingled around their three tables.
Kristi Yamaguci also ate at Art and Soul on Saturday night with her mother and daughter. Sitting in one of the booths, Yamaguci ate the rockfish, her mother had the ravioli, and her daughter ate the kid’s un-fried chicken.
At the Verizon Center skating rink Monday night, Scott Hamilton skated on TV for the first time since being diagnosed with a brain tumor five years ago. Dorothy Hamill is also returning to the ice after her battle with breast cancer.

Joanie, Awe thanks. They’re great. A little goofy, but great,lol. My oldest brother, who
passed away in 78, was amazing. We have a pic of him holding a robin he was nursing back
to health. It just contently sat in his hand. The bird new he was with a friend. All of my
brothers were boyscouts. My two oldest brothers even built a raft with their troup &
floated down the Minnesota River. That was cool. Ok, enough from me on this tonight,lol.
Uh, wow. Did they have to mention DA’s “relentless” fansites in the Stadium of Fire article? That pretty much tells everyone that not just Provo voted, and now the competition’s reallly on. What is really funny is if I am perturbed with my hubby..and he wants to make nice..he will start talking to me about David..hahahha like ” What’s new in Archuleta world..?” it cracks me up. Gosh, I missed this post from a few days ago and am finally catching up on my google reader… so I just noticed David stayed at the Liaison Capitol Hill while he was in D.C. OMG! That is the hotel my husband and I stayed at during our honeymoon this summer! And we ate at that Art & Soul restaurant twice! (Loved their fried green tomatoes btw) Then, a funny coincidence, only 36 hours after we returned home (Honolulu) from our honeymoon, I ditched my hubby and flew to Seattle so that I could attend David’s concert & VIP, where I finally met David for the first time! Haha
