Some of the Ann Arbor concert go-ers are organizing a pre-concert SQUEEFEST at Panera Bread.
Here’s the message from Rene:
A bunch of us are meeting for dinner before the Ann Arbor, Michigan concert at the Panera Bread right across the street from Hill Auditorium. We plan to arrive at Panera around 4:30-4:45pm. If anyone would like to join us, please do! We can fangirl/boy, talk about the glory of wheat bread, and try to figger out how we are gonna live thru the concert! gahhhhhhh!

We are starting to receive some amazing stories of grassroots fan promotion! Fans are getting out there and promoting David’s Christmas album and concerts in truly incredible ways.
Today we are featuring Stephanie and Danielle, who put together a gift basket:
We did the basket for Danielle’s high school’s basket bingo that was attended by about 300 people, every basket was also announced and listed in the program so it was great promo for David & CFTH for all the people who attended! It has CFTH in the front (may be a little hard to see with the cellophane wrapping the basket)

I was on the Foxwoods Casino web site this morning and found that they have David’s holiday tour listed as an upcoming event at the MGM theater here in CT. I pieced together the information which I attached here, and they don’t have the correct information on the number of albums sold (will try to contact them to correct this) but thought I would pass the promo they have shown on their web site. We also got a flyer at home that came in the mail yesterday and David’s picture & tour information is listed/promoted. So it looks like some good promotion is being put out for the holiday tour here in Connecticut! WOOT!!!

Jeff K. Gets Busy Requesting Christmas from the Heart
Jeff not only contacted his local radio station asking them to play David. He received a nice response, with the station manager asking him which David songs he wanted them to play.
In Jeff’s second email to the radio station he included the results of our poll from yesterday (we asked readers to rate the song on CFTH that they considered the most radio-friendly). That’s pretty cool!
Here is the response Jeff sent back to the station manager:
Hi Mike,
My personal favorite from his album “Christmas From The Heart” album is a duet with Charice Pempengco titled “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” However as an extreme fan of David I prefer that you play them all, twice a day, LOL.
But, you as a radio music director might make good use of this poll, which I copy/pasted from the fan website “fansofdavid.com”.
David’s favorite seems to be “O Holy Night” and he said in an interview that he wanted a reverent sound in the whole album.
He truly lives to praise God so I think playing him on the Christian Voice of Ohio is a wonderful pairing.
I hope you don’t mind that I copied the fan website organizers, so they can mention your radio station on the website.
I am willing to donate a cd if you send me an address to mail the cd.

Also, I am hearing the cd is pretty well stocked in all of the stores too….much more than the first cd. At both Walmarts close to my home (and I live in a pretty rural area) they had around 15 copies when I looked and I never saw the first cd….unless it was just a couple of copies

With my back it hasnt been this bad since 2000, which my Dr told me it was a pinched nerve, sciatica, pain in the back & in my left, shall we say hip,lol & down the leg a bit. This time its my right side & back. Have you ever had either with your back?

Hey GG! I just may end up going to the Dr, but I had xrays a few years ago & I was told I have degerative disc disease & this kind of thing is common with that condition. Beth- I have and had exactly what you are describing, Sciatic pain is excrusiating and hollering fits how it makes you feel, there have been times when I felt like screaming!! It starts in the lowerback, runs through your cheek(not the one on your face) and down your leg. Can be either side. Maybe its time to give your doctor a call, you need some relief from the discomfort. I cringe just thinking about it.

Beth-FYI-the worst thing you can do for Sciatic is sit …it compresses the nerve and prolongs healing. I learned to type standing up. Not very well I might add, but I couldnt sit for more then a few minutes at a time.

Candy, Sorry you’ve had to deal with this too! Yeah, I usually cant sit for more than a couple of minutes, but the heat has helped a bit. I’ll start up with the heat again in about 10 minutes. Gotta take breaks from it or I could end up Medium Rare,lol. Usually I would be able to find a position lying down, but this time, because its my right side, its harder to get up from lying down. I do try to walk around a bit, to keep things a little loose. Thanks for sharing your experiences with it, with me. I appreciate it.

My brother introduced me to cranberry-orange juice about 15 years ago. It’s the best juice combo out there! David is on to a good thing.

You know, I tried some goat cheese at a Farmer’s Market (actually about five different kinds of goat cheese) and I just couldn’t get use to it. Maybe flavored with cranberry would do the trick, but I’m not really sure.

#400 Catherine…Can you believe that in Berkeley, there’s only 1 place that has an indoor pool? Even U of Cal has 3 pools, all outdoors. So there’s the darkness and the “cold ” to contend with. Yes, the pools are heated but not hot enough during the cold nights. Y is the only 1 with an indoor pool but they don’t accept drop-ins. I don’t want to pay for a monthly membership.

Rohdegirl I know I really like everybody too I guess you have to be close when you live together you go through all the good times and bad together and you really don’t have another choice but it makes me feel a lot better about things knowing everyone on the bus will look out for each other in unfamiliar cities (even for young men who are relatively strong) there is safety in numbers
