I was listening to Silent night and Ave Maria the whole time I was making it. I guess that’s what inspired the whole dark “night” look to it. Decided to name it “Hauntingly Beautiful” hehe. Enjoy!

Longtime New York Radio personality-DJ Pat Marino, who now spins his unique blend of love songs on Heartbeat FM in Dublin Ireland, will spotlight David Archuleta’s new CD “Christmas From The Heart” on his radio show this weekend!

Well, VIPs haven’t sold out in a few other places, either. Someone had mentioned that perhaps the timing isn’t the best, since ppl are saving their $ for Christmas gifts. Also, it seems to me that alot of the diehard fans have already been to a VIP and can’t afford to go twice, so maybe David just needs more diehard fans? I’m kind of wondering, too, how well the VIPs and concerts are being promoted– how much the general public even knows about them….OK, back to work.

David Archuleta Prefers Nashville’s Relaxed Pace

David Archuleta continued work on his second studio album in Nashville as he was interviewed with USA Today, where he revealed that the relaxed pace of Nashville is preferable to Los Angeles.
The “American Idol” alum admitted that Los Angeles is not his favorite place since he felt like he’s at work. He described Nashville as so laid-back. Although he is happy in Utah, if he had to, probably he would move to Nashville.
Meanwhile, David recently sat down with ABC News Radio yesterday where he talked about his “Christmas From the Heart” album. He shared his family and all of the traditions they observe during the holiday season. He also posted new Vlog on the youtube.

You will never guess where I placed his CD….in front of Neil Diamond. hahahaha I laughed when I got to work and saw the MTV video with David caroling with Jim Cantiello and Jim handing a Neil Diamond CD to a co-worker and David saying Neil is a great guy. They don’t come sweeter than David Archuleta. I know Paula Abdul
got a lot of flack for saying she wanted to decapitate the boy and dangle
his head from her rearview mirror (as a compliment), but after spending time
with him this week I know exactly where Paula is coming from. By the end of
our hour together, I was looking all over MTV for a hacksaw.
David just released a (fantastic) new Christmas album, so I thought it would
be fun to don a set of Holiday sweaters, load up a satchel with recycled promo
CDs and go caroling around MTV with the “Idol” runner-up.
Who cares that it’s only October?!
The mere fact that David and his team agreed to our silly idea shows what
a cool guy he is. I can’t think of many celebrities who would be willing to throw
on an ugly, itchy sweater, walk into strangers’ offices and belt out Christmas carols
for fun. (Although I will admit that the wardrobe took a fair amount of cajoling on
my part. I might have to leak the video of his reaction when I said the words
“Christmas sweaters.” Priceless.)
I took David around to Archie fans here at MTV. And, as I expected, they all
turned to goo as soon as he appeared in their doorway, ready to serenade them
with his angelic pipes. But his appeal spread over to innocent bystanders as well.
Look at the faces of everyone he came in contact with at MTV: That’s what pure,
unadulterated joy looks like. (The only “Humbug!” was from James Montgomery, but
he’s always a grouch when it comes to anyone other than Stephen Malkmus.)
I could go on and on about how much fun I had with David, whether it was watching
his face light up when we talked about our mutual love of Allison Iraheta
(who he calls “spunky”) or how endearing his non-sequitors were (I tried my best
to leave them fully in tact in the edit). And I almost passed out when he texted
my dinner recommendation to none other than “Idol” contestant Carly Smithson!
Selfishly, it was a dream come true to get to harmonize with the “Idol” superstar.
His voice, rich and nuanced, sounded just as brilliant in person as it did on TV.
Normally, I would make fun of my old pal Jeffrey for being such a drama queen,
but damned if I didn’t also choke up when Archuleta fully immersed himself in a
brilliant “O Holy Night,” despite being surrounded by DigiBeta tapes in a drab office.
(And a jerky MTV News correspondent in a sweater and Santa cap.)
In other words, I defy you to watch this video and not have a smile on your face.
Like kittens, a fresh pair of socks and snagging a cab within five seconds of being
outside, David Archuleta is an instant jolt of immense joy.

Marciami ~ we received confirmation for our tickets….they didn’t actually go through Ticketmaster, but Ticketmaster notified us that we had reserved tickets…but it directed us to the Playhouse Square site…anyway, I’m miffed because I wanted 5 tickets together and couldn’t get them yesterday and now they are available. I’m calling the box office to see if I can exchange…but it says no refunds or exchanges so I don’t know. But anyway, I’m sure they are valid.

I have to disagree with the reviewer about CFTH and it being too sedate! David had a goal for this CD, to create music that would bring the spirit and reverence of the Christmas season to those who listen with their heart! Marciami ~ I just got off the phone with Playhouse Square and got my tix exchanged! She said since they hadn’t been printed yet I could exchange them. So I got 5 seats together in Orch row R. We had T and W I think before…so were a little closer. She said 100 VIPs sold out! I asked her how sales were going and she said she thought they were a little slow, but the tickets don’t go on sale to the public until tomorrow. She said she didn’t think a lot of people were aware of the show yet (except the fan sites) because it’s not actually listed on Ticketmaster…they work together with Ticketmaster but the tix are actually sold through Playhouse. And yes the tix are valid. Yay! I don’t think we have met…so hoping to see you there!

pam05 – I got a lot of awesome large 7×9 “postcards” from AASO. They have GORGEOUS pictures on the front and back and don’t look like a postcard but there is a place for a stamp and for a small address label. The pic on the back is of David sitting in the green seats in the theatre – WOW – the front is of the commerical they are putting on TV – would you like me to send you some – glad to do it – even great for my keepsake book
I don’t know yet, maybe when we arrive I can call you and we can just find a place near the venue. There might be around 6 of us, I don’t know for sure. I don’t think we need to make reservations or anything like that. Maybe we can just eat at a place like Panera Bread, where you just walk in and place your order and sit down. Then we don’t have to worry about tips either, some of us are on a very tight budget.

Marciami ~ Cleveland is just an hour drive for me. I’m not sure yet what we are doing as far as maybe going to dinner or meeting with other FOD’s before the concert. I’m always up for that though. A bunch of us got together in Cincinnati and went out for Pad Thai. It was the first time I had it and it was delicious. So, hopefully some plans will be made and we can meet up.

David Archuleta Celebrates An Early ‘Archmas’ With Carols At MTV News

They don’t come sweeter than David Archuleta. I know Paula Abdul got a lot of flack for saying she wanted to decapitate the boy and dangle his head from her rearview mirror (as a compliment), but after spending time with him this week I know exactly where Paula is coming from. By the end of our hour together, I was looking all over MTV for a hacksaw.
David just released a (fantastic) new Christmas album, so I thought it would be fun to don a set of Holiday sweaters, load up a satchel with recycled promo CDs and go caroling around MTV with the “Idol” runner-up.
Who cares that it’s only October? The mere fact that David and his team agreed to our silly idea shows what a cool guy he is. I can’t think of many celebrities who would be willing to throw on an ugly, itchy sweater, walk into strangers’ offices and belt out Christmas carols for fun. (Although I will admit that the wardrobe took a fair amount of cajoling on my part. I might have to leak the video of his reaction when I said the words “Christmas sweaters.” Priceless.)
I took David around to Archie fans here at MTV. And, as I expected, they all turned to goo as soon as he appeared in their doorway, ready to serenade them with his angelic pipes. But his appeal spread over to innocent bystanders as well. Look at the faces of everyone he came in contact with at MTV: That’s what pure, unadulterated joy looks like. (The only “Humbug!” was from James Montgomery, but he’s always a grouch when it comes to anyone other than Stephen Malkmus.)
I could go on and on about how much fun I had with David, whether it was watching his face light up when we talked about our mutual love of Allison Iraheta (who he calls “spunky”) or how endearing his non-sequitors were (I tried my best to leave them fully in tact in the edit). And I almost passed out when he texted my dinner recommendation to none other than “Idol” contestant Carly Smithson!
Selfishly, it was a dream come true to get to harmonize with the “Idol” superstar. His voice, rich and nuanced, sounded just as brilliant in person as it did on TV. Normally, I would make fun of my old pal Jeffrey for being such a drama queen, but damned if I didn’t also choke up when Archuleta fully immersed himself in a brilliant “O Holy Night,” despite being surrounded by DigiBeta tapes in a drab office. (And a jerky MTV News correspondent in a sweater and Santa cap.)
In other words, I defy you to watch this video and not have a smile on your face. Like kittens, a fresh pair of socks and snagging a cab within five seconds of being outside, David Archuleta is an instant jolt of immense joy.
Patty I hope we meet. I have very light skin and what some might consider black hair, so please introduce yourself to me. I would love to meet you.

It was wonderful to meet him – yes, folks, I’m the chubby guy David serenades with “Oh Holy Night”. Too bad Jim couldn’t post the whole song – let me tell you from the bottom of my soul, it was one of the most astonishing acapella performances I’ve ever heard and it will be added to my annual Christmas Mix. I almost wept.
He was just as down-to-earth, humbled and sweet as he appears in every interview you’ve ever seen him in. At one point, Jim throws cotton balls in the air, and David started to lean over to help pick them up! I said, “DAVID! STOP!” He was actually about to get on the floor to help clean my floor! It was so genuine, I just wanted to put him in my pocket, take him home and place on my fireplace. He’s a living doll – and it was an honour to meet him. JeffreyCrh

346/DFT – If they don’t sell out the VIPs for SLC they may do VIP upgrades. That way you still have your original seat and just add the VIP. It costs less to upgrade. We did that for the Cincinnati summer tour concert.

What impressed me the most on the MTV video is when David started harmonizing with Jim. He just looked at him and seemed to think OK your singing in whatever key and he comes right in with harmonizing! That is talent on a master scale. Harmonizing is hard just off the cuff like that and David just makes it look so easy!
