I haven’t done one of these in a while, but here goes:
So my family has this housekeeper that comes by once a month. She barely speaks English and doesn’t really know who Simon Cowell or what American Idol are. Thinks Ryan Seacrest is some kind of whale. Her husband and two daughters, however, do. So anyway, said husband decided to accompany my wonderful housekeeper today. All of a sudden, I hear Crush. It’s all staticy. You know, the way ring tones usually sound? I assume it’s my phone ringing but when I take a look, nothing! HUH? Then the ringing stops…I walk out of my room and there I see it. The husband is on the phone and my jaw drops. OMG, no way! So I do my usual Archie promoting thing and immediately ask this testosterone filled being what inspired him to answer to David’s dulcet tones on a daily basis. And voila! He’s a fan! In fact, his daughters are FODers! I burst into tears…Wouldn’t you?
By the way, I still need to hunt down their screen names and make them my new best friends…

So we were given a worksheet to complete for homework in my trigonometry class and I noticed that the last word problem on the page said, “A hiker can hike 2 1/2 mph down a trail to visit ARCHULETTA LAKE.” Omg if it was only spelled with just one “T” it would be perfect! But still this is pretty close haha! Just thought I’d share!

Hello everyone. I haven’t been around much lately because I started a new job as an elementary music specialist, and I have been working 24/7. You know what they say about your first year teaching. I taught high school and elementary band years ago, but I have since gotten more training in elementary music but did not want to get a job until my “baby” went to college. It is A LOT of work, and I miss you all.
I was one of the lucky ones who went to Kendra’s concert and witnessed a very touching and expressive “to be with You”. I feel very, very fortunate to have seen that. David is truly one of a kind!

Thanks Tina and Pam. I have been way out of commission lately, so it was wonderful to see David- a real treat.
On Teaching, I knew it would be a challenge teaching music to such a variety of ages, and it is!! I teach K-5th grade and am very grateful that the other teacher teacher half of the students including the 6th graders. Those older kids can be so challenging, but I am learning so much.
Okay. Now that I’ve seen the video I think it’s time to lay me down to sleep.

David Archuleta “To Be With You”
Last night David Archuleta made a surprise appearance at the concert of his piano player from his tour, Kendra. David, as you will hear in the video above, says that he called Kendra asking for directions and by the end of the conversation the two decided last minute to do a song together at her concert!
David surprised the audience by appearing on the stage to perform “To Be With You.” Not only do we get to watch David and Kendra work their magic on stage together, but we also get to see David play the piano! Our heart melts!
David posted on Twitter about the night: “Made a surprise guest appearance in Kendra’s concert playing To Be With You! We haven’t played it or practiced it since tour lol.”

In lieu of Katy Perry’s postponed concert, MTV Philippines, producer of Katy’s concert “Katy Perry Live in Manila,” is planning to hold a benefit concert instead. Joining Katy is American Idol runner-up David Archuleta.
Apparently, this is what they described to be the “bigger and better” version of the postponed concert.
According to MTV Philippines, the net proceeds of the benefit concert will go to the Philippine Red Cross. The concert will be held on October 17, 2009. However, the date is still tentative.
