#38 Gianna…I’ve replied to your tweets. No, hindi ko papanoorin si Demi sa Sacramento dahil 1 hr 20 min pa ang drive ko to Emeryville. Sa San Jose concert, I’ll stay siguro for a few songs. Wala akong VIP sa San Jose kaya the other archies and I are having dinner before the concert. I don’t have to wait for David to come out sa San Jose since I’ll meet him the week after sa Sacramento.

Sorry — my connection is super slow at the hotel; I swear I’m not trying to build drama! lol
Good attendance, I thought. I was worried because they were doing to $15 ticket thing so I figured not many seats had sold. But it looked like floor seat were about 95% full and seats to the sides near the stage were about 75% full. At the back of the arena, the seats were full about halfway up.
Sorry, I have no idea how many people it holds so I couldn’t guess how many were there…
I got about halfway through the opening number when they came and stopped me from taking video. So I didn’t take any more at all until David said he was doing the medley. I just KNEW that I had to get some of that!
So I tried to be James Bond about it and kept angling my camera away from the stage. So I have audio of ALMOST all of the medley but sometimes all you can see is the floor or ceiling. :-p

#71 Gianna…4 concerts? 2 lang, SJ and Sacramento. Pero, I went to his solo concert in Reno last March.
I say “almost” on getting the entire medley because at 1min12sec into “One” the scary security guy came towards me again so I stopped. But I picked back up again about 10 seconds later, just as he was finishing up that and starting on “You Gotta Be”.
I’m working on uploading it to Youtube — but this connection stinks! I says it will take another hour and 23 minutes. Pooh!
As for how the rest of the concert went…AWESOME! (Let me post this comment then I’ll share how amazing I thought it was!!)

So, back to my concert experience…
(You guys are so nice for listening to me gush…still feel like I’m giddy and I can’t hardly stop my running fingers from typing silly things about tonight, lol!)
I know it’s been said 500 times, but I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE that intro! The curtain, woo! Such drama.

Oh, his voice! It was sooooo unbelievable. It just soared up to the rafters. And it was so clear! Alot of times at concerts *cough — maybe even this one, later on* the vocals sound muddied my the amps and I guess just the general acoustics of the arena. But not David. Clear as a bell and you could understand every word.
Lots of screaming girls for David — seemed like a big majority of the crowd was made up of families at this show. Lots of dads! lol
What was funny is that the dads I looked at all seemed to be enjoying David’s set. Smiling and nodding. It was awesome.
~Well, guys…much as I would love to stay & play…I have to hit the hay (beauty sleep, you know…lol)

Sorry I’m jumping around a bit — but I’m feeling kind of scatterbrained, wonder why? But anyway, we didn’t have the best seat in the house but were fairly close to the stage. We were in the first section stage right, but at the far end of that section. I personally don’t think that any of my pictures turned out great (for great pictures look no further than the top of this post, holy hannah!!!) but I will be sure to post some when I get them uploaded.
My camera was having trouble focusing in the low light. Here’s a funny for you: the one setting that finally gave me half-way decent pictures was Kids & Pets. Do any of you have this setting? I think it’s made to capture things that are always moving — how fitting. lol
It just really made me laugh that from now on David Archuleta will be filed under “Kids & Pets” when I want to get good concert pics!
Maybe I need a better camera…
ok, about the tca, a lot of people said earlier that now is the best time to vote, since it’s holiday, other fanbases might not be voting as much, so if you can spare time, please vote tca…also, if you need more emails, you don’t need to create new ones, it takes time to do it. so what i did was use the email addresses from my address book. if a friend forwards me an email, usually that email is also forwarded to them, and i just scroll down and copy past all the emails in an xcel spreadhsheet. i came up with almost 200 addresses for this! just copy/paste from xcel and hit remember me button so you don’t need to type the password. also you can use just one password for everything.

I had my 15 year old niece with me at the concert — she originally just wanted to see Demi when i first told her about the tickets a month ago. She didn’t know much about David other than Crush. I’ve been introducing her to his music since then and she’s hooked now.
She TOTALLY loved David tonight. We both jumped and yelled and screamed through David’s set. It was so amazing! Sheesh, I can’t stop saying that…lol
We actually left the concert a little early (at her request) to walk back to the hotel and check out the little bit of video that I was able to get. She is super stoked that we have VIP tickets to Rockford next month. She told me tonight that she might just pass out when it’s her turn for a picture. I told her that if she was lucky, David might catch her!

Ah tina, I understand about the singing part. When I video taped the medley during solo tour at Sandler Virginia, I listened back through it and I could not share it because of my tard singing in the background. hee! It still sits in my camera for my personal viewing only. Mainly because a million bettah videos showed up snarky fast.

I’m in the hotel hallway because the connection in my room sucks. It said it would take over 3 hours to upload there. So I came out here where the speed it a little better. It has still taken nearly 2 hours though…oh the things we do for David! And for our fellow David fans…although I’m not sure anyone will be thanking me once they see this video. It is hilariously bad!

My camera is a Canon PowerShot A630. It does seem to do a great job with the audio (yeah!) but the zoom was for crap. Almost all my zoom shots turned out grainy. So if you’re gonna be right in front of the stage it would be great but it you’re sitting a ways back, not so great!
JoyF — my seats were section 121, row 1, seats 1 & 2. Not sure if you’ve seen a seat map for Alltel arena, but that’s essentially the first section on the right side of the stage (in the risers, does that make sense?). Our seats were the 1 & 2 so they were the furthest from the stage in that section, pooh. But still not bad.

#215 Tina: I just looked up your camera on google. You have a 4X Optical Zoom. My camera is a 20X and my son’s is a 28X. Been doing some research and found that Optical is much better than digital for zooming. What your camera basically does is use the Optical up to a certain distance. If you’re trying to zoom beyond that that distance, then digital kicks in. Digital is always grainier than Optical.

I have to say you are absolutely right though. I try never to zoom past 4X if I can help it because the picture does come out grainy. I just didn’t know the technical reason until now! lol I did use the digital zoom some at this concert thought because I really wanted to get some close ups. They pretty much all sucked though.
I did take some pictures using just the optical zoom and they seem like they will be pretty good. He looks tiny in them now but maybe when I look at them in full size it will be better. Guess I could go check on that now since I may never sleep again…

Hi guys! I am a longtime lurker, but wanted to let you know that I was at the LR concert tonight. It was my first David concert and it was fantastic! I also attended the meet & greet where I was one of only 16 people! Got to see David up close…I sat about 4 ft away from him while he was playing and singing. AMAZING! I was reading the comments and saw where everyone was wanting video of the medley. It just so happens I am uploading my video on You Tube at the moment. I was about 9 rows back but my zoom was not great, but the sound is pretty good and you can see. I have never uploaded video before, but as many as I have watched on this site and Snarkies I figured I owed it to you guys to do the best I can. I also have a few more videos of tonight’s performances, not all songs, but a few.

Joy – I think I might have been a bit closer than that. Alltel Arena is smaller so it’s hard to gauge. We were fairly close to the end of the catwalk but when he was in the center of the stage it seemed far away

I wonder why they are so strict about videos at this venue?
I was just at my venue’s website. They’re selling tickets for $14.99 now. Played around and I was still able to purchase 4 seats in a row at any ticket price. Looks like this concert isn’t selling out either.
Tina, I’m not sure why security didn’t say anything to me. I had my regular camera, but it has a video option so maybe they just thought it was a camera. I got a few videos, not all songs, but a few. I will try to get the medley posted tonight and post the rest tomorrow. At the m & g David came in as said that he had been singing his songs from Hollywood week, but asked if we had any requests. I asked if he was going to do TBWY tonight and he said no, I asked if he would sing it and he said he didn’t have a violin to which I replied that’s ok, you can do it without the violin. Someone then mentioned Angels and then he didn’t know what to do. He did sing the first verse and chorus of “My Girl” accapela, it was awesome! He finally just sang Heaven and Crazy. He can’t go wrong no matter what he sings. 3 people got to ask questions, but my number wasn’t pulled from the raffle so I didn’t get to ask a question. I was going to ask him if he wanted to learn how to call the “Hogs”….everyone that comes the Ark needs to know how to do that!
Burkey — not sure. I had actually never been to a concert there before; probably won’t again unless David plays there!

I’m working on cropping some of my pictures from tonight — hopefully I’ll have them up soon. And I am uploading ALTNOY (well, most of it anyway LOL) to Youtube as we speak. Says over an hour before it’s complete though so don’t hold your breath! haha
And that would be the extent of the video I got — about 3/4 of ALTNOY, a snippet of ZG and “most” of the medley.
Oh and as a bonus in ALTNOY you get to actually hear the security guy tell me to shut off my camera before it all fades to black…lol At least I got the grand entrance! David waved! More than once! Loved it.

Tina, I took a video when I went to the concert in Boise and it ended up being 11 minutes long……..so I just saved it to a DVD and sent it to joyF and then she was able to do something and put it on her page on david’s official site. I try to then this stuff, but these old brain cells take a while to catch on! lol

After traveling 5,000 miles by air, bus, train, and car, I finally made it to Houston! there is a large spanish speaking population in houston, so it would fit in nicely… it’s also demi’s hometown, so i’m sure there will be a lot of people packing the place tonight, and the more they hear how versatile he is, the better
I think it was last year in Texas on his solo tour that someone asked him to sing something in spanish.

Hi guys, I don’t think he did Houston on his solo tour. He first sang in Spanish in San Antonio and Demi’s hometown is Dallas. It would be great if they could do a Spanish duet. Together they could do so many creative things together with their talents
