A group of lucky listeners were able to spend a day with David Archuleta. First it was lunch at Sole and then off for a shopping experience to remember at Tony Walker & Co. Shelby from Clarence, David’s personal stylist for the day, picked out a great outfit for him to wear at his concert!

Hi everyone! I signed up for Demi’s fan club…anything for a better chance of getting closer to the stage and a closer look at David!
Fran…thanks for that very Buffalo friendly post. Roswell Park is a very well known cancer hospital in Buffalo. The artists in the PSA were all at the KissMas Bash in December of last year.
And the shopping spree was just before his solo concert in Williamsville/Buffalo in March. He wore that great red plaid shirt the night of the concert.

Hi everyone! Is there any new info about the tour? I just talked my BFF into going to the Cleveland show with me in July. (not that she needs convincing -she loves David- it’s a money thing which I totally understand.) The only other show that would be possible for me would be in Long Island (Uniondale) but I would have to take 2 days off for that one and I’m down to one day left for this year unless I dipped into my carryover. I could stay with my sister who lives 5 minutes from the venue so I could save money that way. I have to think about that one! I loved going down memory lane with watching those performances from AI! I loved reading Richard’s story…I had no idea that he did the arrangement for that song. Great job Richard! And of course, David was amazing that night!
So, I wonder who will get the boot tonight on AI? Speaking of which, I’m so pumped for next Wednesday! I will be feeling so much pride and excitement for David! He’s going to knock their socks off!

I’ve heard that commercial for Roswell Park Cancer Institute on Kiss 98.5. My father went to Roswell when he had a biopsy done on his salivary gland which turned out to be cancerous about 4 years ago. He’s doing great now… just has to go for periodic checkups.

Oh those photos of David at Sole Restaurant bring back the best memories for me! Pastel, Vicki, Jamie, Patti, Angelique and Pam and I were in the Restaurant while the meet and greet was going on! We got to meet with David after that! That was the best day!
BJR….it’s not my pick for a tour…. but I am dealing with it…. and attending at least 3 concerts…. I am there for David….. like I always said I would be….. there will be many more tours…. and he will be the headliner for sure after this….. all is good…..

Although I was initially confused about the pairing, I’m coming around on this one. This pairing is generating alot of internet buzz and media coverage. That’s good! Two squeaky clean, rising star teens touring together. I would have loved to had David headline or co-headline. I really felt he deserved that too, but I guess her fanbase is massive. I’m sure David and his team are patient and have lots of reasons for the pairing. It won’t stop me from going, but I know I’ll be taking a teen or two with me! Thanks for your honest opinion BJR…that’s what this site is about!

BJR, I also feel the same about the tour, but, on the other hand I know David’s label and management are doing what is probably the best approach to securing new fans. I trust Jive and David and the people around him (Jeff Archuleta, Ray, etc.)
Funny thing – When my husband got home from work today I wasn’t in the kitchen. When I came back into the kitchen there sitting on the counter was a full page face shot of David from J-14 magazine. Seems people at his office know I have a “thing” for David and they gave my husband the pic to bring to me. He’s such a good sport.

speaking only for me, my peace of mind and belief in david is not predicated on who i may feel is worthy enough to open for him, or who he may be opening for – everything he touches will not turn to gold, every decision made is not going to be universally accepted, there will be missteps along the way in his career – doesn’t sway my belief that his talent runs too deep and is too formidable to be drowned out or suffer any damage by opening for lovato.
i don’t own rose colored glasses, i see the challenges and the pitfalls inherent in the situation, and in the hands of a lesser talent or artist, i probably would be a little queasy.
david opening for lovato, to me, is just another round of dues he has to pay in the grand scheme of things…. being david archuleta will not and does not exempt him from this, regardless how great and ‘complete’ a package some of us think he already is…. as an artist, he still has a lot of growth to undergo, a lot of seasoning and maturity to acquire….. he is still very much a work in progress, and that is to be expected for an 18 year old….. it may not be relevant to many of you, but good lord, if jimi hendrix could be the opening act for the monkees, after he literally set the music world on fire at the monterey pop festival, and survive lo these many years with his musical and artistic integrity intact, i think this fanbase and david can survive opening for lovato.

This concert is only going to get David’s name out there – more fans – David gets to do what he loves to do – Sing – and we have the pleasure of going and supporting him.
Did I ever envision myself standing outside for 3+ hours after a blizzard to see an 18 year old perform in a GA admission lounge. No — But it was sooooooooooooooo much fun!!!! and I would do it again in a minute.
David has brought lots of love and fun into my life and I will support in every way I can.
And I think it will be fun actually!

Andrea- I’ve said this before, but I don’t think anything can ever top that experience. I told myself you know that will probably never happen again so I’m so thankful for that. Even when I went to Utah, I wasn’t expecting to meet David because I knew I had my moment. I just wanted to see David perform in his hometown and be a part of something very special! I got to meet so many wonderful people. Not everybody gets to have these experiences so I’m okay if that was it for me. I will cherish that day forever! Not to mention that I did get to meet David once before during the AI tour at the buses so I’m very, very lucky.

By the way, thanks again for all the good wishes for my brother. I called the hospital to ask my brother if it was ok to come visit him & the operator said he had been released. He made vast improvement since yesterday. So I saw him after work, he will stay with my parents for a little bit, but hes doing great. From almost losing him to him doing great in 3 days time, its just wonderful. Thanks Again!

I guess everybody knows from Richards flashback story earlier today that tonight is the one year anniversary of Davids performance of When You Believe. Sooooo, here goes, I can’t resist…………

David: Meeting Mariah Carey was really scary because I thought, I’m not worthy to be in her presence.
David (to Mariah): Oh I listen to your music a lot…I….phew!
Mariah: David Archuleta doing When You Believe was really, I thought it was really moving. (speaking to David: If you wanted to go up into your falsetto for 2 seconds I wouldn’t be mad at you.)
David: The advice she gave was really helpful actually, because, you know the stuff I didn’t really think about because I didn’t think I’d be able to do it.
Mariah: Don’t be afraid, because whatever you do is going to be real and authentic. (I’m really proud of him and you know where he seems to be at as a person and his singing is just beautiful.)

Randy: YO, check it out, check it out David. I knew, I was a little worried about tonight, because you know boys singing girls songs and all that kind of stuff, and you probably picked one of the toughest ones because that was a great duet with Mariah and Whitney right? But dude, I gotta tell you something. I say it every time. If you can sing, you can sing anything, YOU can sing anything..that was the BOMB baby! (Jeff and Laurie seen again applauding with big smiles!)
Paula: It must feel, it must feel great for Mariah to be able to hear your interpretation of the song, and I know she was beaming, because you made her proud, very proud.

Simon: I have to agree! I would have bet a million dollars on you choosing that song in advance, (David laughs) I just knew that was the one from the opening line. Um, I thought it was very very good! I don’t think we’re in for a lot of laughs tonight though (David: oh why, why). Ahh, but, you know look, I think, …at least you’re smiling (David laughs)…. look you’ve set the benchmark, I think the guys are going to have an easier time funny enough tonight than the girls interestingly because theres not the comparison. But, you sang it very well, actually I had a number 1 with that record in the UK at Christmas time, so I do know the song very well, and I have to tell you, you performed that very well.

Hey everyone! Well, Matt has been saved tonight. Those judges were just dying to use their power. But Disco next week, YUCK! That’s one word I’d hoped I’d never hear again.
Who’s going to what shows this summer? Do we all know yet? And are we sure David will be at each one of Demi’s shows?
not sure about Seattle since it is Tuesday..but I might…not ruling anything out
A few things:
1st – I was quite disappointed that the comment of “Demi & David being ‘hooked up’ for tour” and “not the baby making hook-up” comment being published on the site. So unDavid of you.
nd – Yeah!!!!!!!he is coming to Florida again. Saw him in Tampa for the AI tour and then saw him again at the PGA Commons Event – he never came even close to Florida for his 1st single tour – so happy to be able to see him again.
Joanie-LOL I thought the same thing as Andrea! You were quiet for a while and then I thought when you said *ahem* that you were saying hello again!
Rika-Oh. . .David’s ‘Apologize’. Another one of David’s songs that is better than the original. How does he do that? He always makes every song sound better and then I don’t like the original anymore – I just want to hear his version.

I guess the 7,000 would be for standing room only GA concerts. I really, really, hope that this isn’t what they’re planning to do with David and Demi’s concert. I can’t see parents of a bunch of tweens being willing to stand for hours outside the venue then stand a few more hours once they get inside. I’m thinking it’s going to be assigned seating. At least that’s what I’m praying for.

I actually don’t think they announce who is going to be on until Tues. Night, but to tell the truth I would be surprised if they announced it then. Based on past experiences with AI I would not be surprised if they just announced him and he came out singing. Sorry, to be neg. but when it comes to AI I just can’t help myself.
