Albuquerque Updates!
We have Nancy and Chris updating us tonight! Thanks for the pictures, Nancy!
Nancy says:
- Forgot to mention there are fans here from Utah too. Also Mike was out with few of us who were here really early and about a half hour later Eli and Alex came out to say hi and pose for pics. As usual they were super nice to fans.
- One other thing that is unusual is that most people here have not heard David live or only on AI tour. Most have not met him. Ppl here from florida texas colorado california PA and MD. Very few so far from NM.
- About 50 people in line now at 1:45 Albuquerque time.
- About 25 people in line at 12:30.
- Bus got here around 10:30!

What the Heck Happened to David’s AOL Sessions?
Many of you are concerned (and a bit ticked off) that AOL has removed David’s AOL sessions. Dorothy emailed me and I suggested she get in touch with an AOL staffer and ask! And she did! This is the response she got:

Carly was up front and got a great video!
We were up front and gosh David’s smiles are the best….he’s so cute! Watching David up close smiling and looking at us while he was singing and having so much fun up on stage was the best ever! He’s amazing!
While we were waiting in line, Jeff came out for a brief moment with the survey cards, just before he left. We had gifts and letters to give David from us and other fans that could not make it to David’s solo tour. Jeff was so nice to take them to give to David for us. It made the fans that couldn’t make it to the tour so happy to know that David got their messages.
We (KathyH, my daughter Kristy, and Donna) also saw Lupe briefly in our hotel lobby. Lupe was hurrying by us… trying not to be noticed (even though their bus was right out front and she is so beautiful… LOL) We didn’t bother her. We gave Lupe her privacy like the good fans we are. Someday I would love to just say hi to Lupe and thank her for sharing her amazing son with us. It was so funny trying to stay cool…the band stayed in the rooms next to us and across from us. Mike and his wife were out in the hall waiting to get into their room. We had to walk past them to get into our rooms. So we told him they did great and the show was amazing! Gail and I are practically neighbors. “Rock-Chalk” Gail!
We had so much fun hanging out in line and during the show. David is the best and has the best fans ever!
P.S. As a tip, be sure to get your merchandise as soon as you can. Kristy wasn’t able to get the poster or the white t-shirt of David wearing the hat in size small… they were sold out. So we will have to order them on line now.

Chelsy’s Story from Chicago!
Well, we got to Chicago on Saturday-we’re from Indiana, about four hours away, so we had to stay in a hotel-but that part wasn’t fantastic so we’ll
just skip to Sunday. We got up quite early Sunday morning. We took a cab over to the House of Blues just to see where it was. We went to eat at this Spanish-type restaurant, then we took the cab back to HOB. The guy there told us that we could purchase something, then get in the “Pass the Line” line and get in before general admission. (Come to find out later that David was inside at the Gospel Brunch. Yeah, we could have walked upstairs and seen him. Love you too David. 
) Anyway, there was already a line outside so Allie, my mom and I began to wait. Seven hours. It was verry rainy, it was freezing cold, and we stood outside for seven hours. Talk about dedication.
Eli and Mike came out. Allie and I tried to get pics with them, but we weren’t aggressive enough, so we just kinda stood with them. lol. So at 6, we finally got to go in. Allie and I held on to each other and ran to the front. We were right by the speaker at the corner of the stage. Verry close. Closer than I’ve ever been at a concert. Lesley Roy came on at around 7. I had only heard a couple of her songs, and I do admit she was quite loud being so close to the speaker, but she’s really awesome. And her guitar players=hot. lol. She’s a great performer and her songs are cool. She looked right at me. I thought it was cool. 
She’s awesome.
So then David took a little while longer. Quite a bit longer. lol. But he finally came out! (Forgive me if the songs aren’t in order!) “Touch My Hand” was sooo much fun. Since it’s the first song and just because he has so much fun with it. It’s definitely an amazing concert song. And he touched Allie’s hand! I tried to get to him, but I got pushed. I was jealous of Allie. lol Then it was “Barriers.” Oh my gosh I LOVE this song live! His hand
movements are sooo great and it just sounds sooo cool!!! Gah I love it! “A Little Too Not Over You” is awesome. The intro is soo cool. I got into
this song. lol. This and “Crush” are cool just cuz they’re the singles and everyone knows them and just has fun with them, including David.
“Somebody Out There” and “My Hands”-SOT is so beautiful. When you watch David sing it, you can tell he loves the song and has a special feeling
for it. The end of MH is awesome because the band just sings My Hands and David sings another part acapella. It’s fun. “Works for Me” and “Waiting for Yesterday”-WFM is awesome!!!! I love that song, and it’s sooo fun to watch David sing it live! His facial expression on “can’t decide between the left side or the right” was priceless! WFY is one of my fave songs, and it’s really great live.
“One/You Gotta Be/Love Song/I’m Yours”-I love this medley. YGB sounds sooo cool the way David sings it live. Everyone just starts singing on Love Song. I love how everyone loves the music that David is into. I’m Yours-amazing!!! That’s like one of my fave songs ever and the way David
sings it makes it twenty times better. “To Be With You”-I was almost in tears. This song is sooo beautiful. I love Kendra on back-up. I just love the meaning of this song and the feeling you get from David when you hear it. “Don’t Let Go”, “Zero Gravity”, and “You Can”-DLG is a lot of fun! I love
that song. ZG. Oh my gosh. That song is EPIC. Watching David is SOOO entertaining, and I was jumping up and down so much I was as tired as him! So much fun! YC is just about as beautiful as TBWY. The look on David’s face as he sings it is mesmerizing. “Crush” is of course awesome! Everyone sings along. It just brings you back to the feeling of it being the very first song. “A Thousand Miles” and “Angels” were amazing. He got teary eyed on Angels. :’) I just love hearing that and seeing him get emotional (I know that sounds weird) but it’s like that’s our song and it just shows us how much he loves us. During the concert, he smiled directly at me. Yeah, I flipped. lol. And Allie and I saw Mike in the back at the end of the show, so we walked up to him and told him the show was great and everyone did awesome. He said thank you many times and that he appreciated it.
The big highlight of the night for me was what my dad said to me. I walked up to him and he said “Well, I hate to admit it but I like him. I like
people with pure talent, and that boy’s got it.” I was thrilled. It just proved that David can make anyone a fan. Seeing David live on his own really made me appreciate him even more than I did. Listening to his voice is simply wonderful. And watching him perform now makes me so happy, because he’s broken out of his shell so much since Idol. I remember that 16 year old kid on stage, all shy and doing his awkward dance moves. Then, I saw the 18 year old in Chicago, and he even looks so much different. He’s taller, more-I have to say it- muscular , and he has so much more confidence. I feel like we’re watching David grow and find himself as a person and an artist. It may sound corny, but I am so thankful that God gave David this gift and that He allowed him to share it with us. I can’t wait to continue to watch David grow and watch his career unfold.
And the statement I said over and over that night: You haven’t heard David Archuleta sing, until you’ve heard him sing live. If your friends (or
maybe your father, in my case) don’t understand your obsession, take them to his concert. They’ll get it.
Lexi’s Story from Beaumont!
MOST MAGICAL NIGHT EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Important thing to understand before reading this: Your Eyes Don’t Lie is our ABSOLUTE FAVORITE song and we schemed for hours at the best possible way to request David to sing it…we figured writing it in a card was our best hope. Read on…
* We got to the Beaumont venue about 2:30-ish and there were about 30 people in front of us…if that.
* We saw Kendra asked her if could give her our gifts for David and the band she said yes and made a point to emphasize that they open and go through EVERY gift!
* The band guys came out a couple of times to talk and take pictures…we all got them to autograph the poster side of the CD cover! We also got photos…THE NICEST GUYS EVER!!
* We complimented Eli on the cool shirts they’ve been wearing and Eli wistfully said that he wished he had time to go shopping and fine more shirts with cool graphics….told us he is a medium and sometimes a large. We also heard him tell someone that, “This will be the last small tour David does.”
* Alex was hungry when he signed my poster and so therefore wrote, “I’m hungry” on it. Said he wants to one time eat a ton of oreos and then come out and take pics w/ fans.
* Mike told me that he and David haven’t written any new music yet, but mentioned that they’ve written another song called “Fighting For You” and hoped we’d all get to hear it some day. We asked Mike if there was ANY chance of David singing YEDL and he pretty much said no. (Very important sidenote: we had written cards to David and the band sweetly requesting that he sing YEDL maybe in San Antonio)
* We met two Meet & Greet girls who were right behind us in line and BEGGED them to PLEASE ask David to sing YEDL!! They LOVE the song and so were happy to oblige. They came back and reported that they asked David to sing it and he said, “Hey, (to somebody) they want me to sing YEDL…that’s kinda a Texas song *starts singing it* (turns back to girls) People like it? They want to hear it? How many people want to hear it?” The girls counted on the fingers and come up with twelve. At that point…I kind of gave up hope, because who sings a song for twelve people?
* Inside, we were about three rows of people back…AWESOME SPOTS!!! It was so small and hot and crowded in there though. There was HUMONGOUS line outside and a bouncer told us that a lot of the people didn’t even have tickets, but were just hoping to get in AND that the concert sold out in THREE hours.
* Leslie came on, did great and then the band came on and I proceeded to start FREAKING OUT!! MIKE was wearing the shirt we got for David!!! (we got him a medium, David is a SMALL, even if you think it’s too small, it’s not, he’s a SMALL)
* And then DAVID came on!! And the second I saw him, I forgot about my ACHING feet and legs and was totally caught up in the magic of DAVID ARCHULETA. Because it is magic…I didn’t know time could go by that fast! He looked at me THREE times during TMH and then again during WFM. I could have died right then and there.
* He was SO genuine when he thanked all his fans and his “niceness” just exuded from him like, like, an awesome cologne or something…it’s incredible. He had technical difficulties at one point and apologized to us while they messed with his ear thing and battery pack.
* And THEN…then…one of the most amazing moments in my entire life happened, David proceeded to say something along the following lines, “I’ve been requested to do a song that isn’t on the set list, um, this song we did the first night, (I started FREAKING OUT at this point) but had to take it out because the set list was too long. I guess It’s kinda a Texas song with the whistling…so, hope the whistling works! Haha! So! ! This is for YOU Texas! Your Eye’s Don’t Lie!” (some where in there he also said he hadn’t practiced it) And then he sang it. OH. MY. GOSH. Utterly incredible…the crowd went AB-SO-LUTE-LY NUTS for it!!! I thought I was going to pass out from pure JOY and EUPHORIA!
* When he was introducing Zero Gravity he noticed a disco ball hanging from the ceiling and commented on how cool it was and how it kinda went with song. So they turned on the disco ball!! Way cool…he totally KILLED the song…he archu-stomped, skipped, head-whipped and cool-stepped his way through that song. AWESOME!
* Afterwards Kendra told us that if Jeff had been there: He wouldn’t have let them do YEDL. So…glad Lupe was there!!
* We waited about an hour afterwards and when there were about 30 of us left, Ray came out and gave us the drill. IF he let David come out, we had to be in a line, no cameras shoved in his face, no screaming, one autograph and then we had to leave.
* I have never been so meek in my life!!!!! And so when David came out, we all shushed ourselves instead of screaming…lol.
* He sang a few random words to some song when he signed my little sister’s poster.
* When he got to me, I thanked him for YEDL he said no problem and that they hadn’t even rehearsed it! He was glad we liked it and when I said I was sorry the shirt didn’t fit he talked about he just swims in mediums and waved his hands around like he was swimming.
* He told my mom he didn’t think he did very good on the whistling when she thanked him for singing YEDL…she told him he did great and he said, “Aw, thanks!” (with that awesome aw, shucks smile)
* I walked away blubbering and just flabbergasted about the most AMAZING night of my life!!! Go to a David Archuleta concert…I dare you…and TRY to come out not a fan. Just try.
Alannah’s Story from San Antonio
Okay FOD, so here’s my story. I’ve been counting down the days ’til my David Archuleta concert for months. Last year my phone bill went up to $900 from voting for him on idol! I got in BIG trouble, lol. I even made my mom get up at 10AM to order the tickets because I knew that they were going to sell out fast. We got to the Scout Bar at 4:00 and it was CROWDED! So crowded that they had to make 3 lines! And it was FREEEEZING out there. We stood out there for 3 hours!!! Then, the news people got there and started interviewing people about David. I didn’t get chosen, but that was ok.
Finally, it was 7:00 and we were let in. We met my cousins inside the venue and were led to stand in the middle. I was mad because I wanted to be in the front though. I talked to my cousins until Lesley came out. I’m a fan of Lesley’s, but she didn’t sound very good live. I knew mostly all of the songs, but she sounded verrry scratchy. Maybe she had a sore throat, idk. Right after her performance, a kid threw up. It was NASTY! I was like 2 feet away from a puddle of puke! I was sooooo grossed out. That was the bad part of my concert experiance. Then, I began to hyperventilate because David was about to come out. My cousin kept on fanning me because I was about to faint. The only thing I was thinking was DAVID IS HERE! I’M BREATHING THE SAME AIR HE IS BREATHING!!! It took them like an hour to set up David’s stuff and I was getting impatient. We’ve been there for 4 hours and we haven’t even seen the main attraction!!!!
Finally, David came on! I screamed to the top of my lungs and almost fell backwards. He came out and sang Touch My Hand! I screamed the lyrics with him, lol. Then, I saw him touching the audiences hands and I knew I had to get up there. I grabbed both of my cousins hands and pushed to the front!! We made it to the 2nd row!!!! Unfortunately, I didn’t get to touch his hand . Song after song, I sang all of the lyrics. I knew EVERY David song, even the Medley. Right in the middle of ‘Barriers’, I started to cry. I couldn’t believe that David, the guy who I have been obsessing over for a year, was right there in front of my eyes. I started to bawl when he sang Somebody Out There, my favorite song in the world. He just sounded so beautiful, it seemed like it was unreal. He saw me crying because we made it to the front, and HE WAVED AT ME!!! Thats when I went crazy! I almost fell back again and began hyperventilating and my heart was racing! ARCHIE WAVED AT ME!! I calmed myself down after the next 2 songs.
When it was quiet, I yelled LETTUCE BOY, and he WAVED AT ME AGAIN! OMG! I could’ve fainted right there but I didn’t want to miss anything. I started jumping and dancing when he did ZERO GRAVITY. It looked like he had so much fun dancing on stage. Mike and Alex too. A fan even screamed at him to sing in spanish, and he sang SELENA!!!! His mom was even there, but I didn’t see Jeff anywhere. I guess he was backstage or something. I’ve never really heard him sing in spanish and I screamed. He sounded SOOO BEAUTIFUL!! I didn’t get to meet him, which was sad, but I did have the time of my life!!!!!!!! I lost my voice from all the screaming and my legs hurt really bad from standing for 6 hours, but it was sooooooo worth it!!!! March 12, 2009 with forever be the best day of my life! GO ARCHIE!!

Blah I was the second one and I am a big fan of the whole family! Jeff has always been there for David! I LOVE LUPE when she goes and really hope she gets to go more often! Where did someone say we didn’t want Jeff? And besides Jade who said the other one was just happy they did YEDL? DId you see how happy he was his Mom was there? So why can’t folks ask for her to come more often?

I just came back from Snarky’s and spent some tear jerking moments reading a post by Dana. It was “Lean on You and I’ll Lean on Me!!! ( or vise versa LOL) You have to click in the first paragraph to read the entire post! It is long, but well worth the time!!! I am sure that everyone here will be able to identify with some or all of what she wrote!!! It is well worth the read and very very moving!!!
I don’t know how to post over there, but Dana if you are reading over here, I just want to say you made my hour, day, week, and year by your open and honest comments!!! Bless you for revealing to others what is in your heart!! That post was so real and hearfelt, and made me weep for your happiness!! All of this tender emotion just because of our Dear David!!! I wish I could know you too, as you are so special!!!

Guys David has been sick. HE had to cancel a rado appearence because he was losing his voice. He DID NOT cut the setlist for NO REASON!! Jeff would proably think everyone would want it at every show and that woould eliminate the purpose of them cutting the list. He probably wanted to protect his voice. And yes he is perfectly happy!

Kendra is the only tough one. She’s tall, and a lot of women don’t like skin tight clothes. She probably wears 6 or maybe 8, which is a small, but it depends on the purpose of the garment. She probably wears mediums for work out or sleep.
So we have speculation on the summer fall tour. Is it just US or worldwide? what size venues? Is it just him or another act? How many shows?

Re: the big tour–I am so intrigued about it. I hope he’s paired with someone or a group that will help to widen the fanbase but that’s also a good mix so everyone in the audience is welcoming to both acts. The Jonas Bros tour has Jordin Sparks and another band. Three acts. that’s a lot of acts, eh?

So this will be David’s last small tour? I’m so glad that I have the opportunity to be a part of these first steps in his career. Over the past months I’ve attended the concerts via all of you and youtube. I’ve spent many an hour feeling left out and fighting that nasty virus called jealousy. It threatened to sap all the joy out of my soul. There were even times that I felt anger at David’s team…why not tour the Northwest? Why is it always the East coast? See…that nasty jealousy bug. There’s a reason that God added “Thou shalt not covet” to his list of commandments.
So now it’s my turn and although I’m traveling, what seems to me, an obscene amount of miles to see our David, I’m finally going to be able to gush over seeing David perform live along with the rest of you.
I’m preparing myself for the withdrawals afterward. I can already feel them creeping up on me, making me all weepy. Look at me…I haven’t even left for Idaho yet and I’m already missing David.

Good Morning All! Just doing a drive by to say I’m sure David was ecstatic his mom was able to make it to a few shows. He loves his mom and misses her, I’m sure. They have a special relationship. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t love his dad, who is always there for him, and is his co-manager. Jeff is a businessman now as well as David’s dad.

Hi JoyF your travel will definitely be worth it. I – like you – had met David but had not heard him live until Lancaster and Allentown. it was well worth the travel, the mosh pit, waiting in line, the drive home in the biggest blizzard. Plus i got to meet and spend time with so many of my FOD family. That was like the iciing on the cake. If someone says something to me about David, i just tell they have to hear him live – because i know they’d never walk away not being a fan! When I made David’s small T, I held it up and couldn’t believe just how small a small is. He’s such a tiny guy to have that big voice inside him. But noticing just how just how petite he is was the 2nd thing I noticed when I met him…the first thing I noticed was the glow. Couldn’t help but see it when the whole room seemed to light up when he walked in the door.

It is such a joy to read all the stories from folks who have seen david in concert. I have never seen such a fan base since Elvis Presley was in his prime. I saw Elvis at a concert in Detroit and he was a great entertainer, but I also saw David in Chicago and am certain that he is equal if not better. David is a superstar (Paula said he would be one) and loved by everyone who has the opportunity to see him live. I believe his dad has his best interests at heart. David’s voice is golden and he needs to take care of it. We all have limits, But David stretches it beyond what anyone would expect of him. He does this because he knows we all love him and his fans are the second most important thing in his life (family first) He will do many concerts, write and sing many songs. We will all at some time or other have the joy of seeing and hearing him in person.

Good morning!!! I am still in Archuheaven!!! I was looking at my pics and vids and * faints*!! I was as close as you can get to David without being on the stage with him. I was right in front of the mic in the very 1st row!!! All my pics are kind of pointing upwards but I could see the sweat on his brow( and all over that gorgeous face). The audio on my vids are just okay but the view is awesome!!! I have to figger out youtube and photobucket yet. I have an outline of my story so now I just need to put it together. After being gone fro 3 days Hubby is craving attention so it may be another day or so before I can post my pics and vids. I want to touch up the red eye too. I can’t wait to send the band the awesome pics I have of them!! I was torn between taking the pics and vids or just staring at David through the whole concert!! Staring was way more fun but I knew those memories would fade like a dream so I had to capture it to keep it close to my heart!

Jennifer I didn’t get your pics signed because they only allowed me to get the one they hand out signed at the M&G. After the concert Ray said only one thing but he knew I had 2 cds. I didn’t want to push my luck as he was very nice to me. I did however hand out some of the smaller to picks to other fans so they could get them signed. Thank you again so much. I probably could have asked him after the show about your SB cd but he was coughing and I didn’t want him to strain his voice.

Candy you know what they are??? Thats right RAF was on my computer while I was in the shower! I forgot. Well I will tell the others. Shortly after we got our tickets to the concert we were talking about what we could do to make David laugh. The olive and cherry pitter came up and in a late night craze we thought how funny it would be to get other odd kitchen utensils and put a note saying this is a _______ . Put me in your kitchen drawer to keep your olive and cherry pitter company. We were going to throw them on stage at different intervals but decided that may not be safe so opted for the meet and greet. We were cracking each other up thinking about different things. I don’t even remember which ones she chose now. I hope he found it as funny as we did!

It was amazing to see how David just being David could turn a grown man to mush!! JC the DJ from 96.1 was Archutized!!! He said he is the real deal. So humble and kind and real. Match that up with the talent and you have one heck of a package. He said he felt like a teenage girl fanboying about David! I asked him his oppinion of Zero Gravity and he looked at me as if to say are you kidding me its awesome! Then he said as soon as they release it , it will be a hit. He says he loves Crush .

Robin, I agree with that dj……ZG would be a megahit if Jive would release it. Actually I think it would be a huge hit, bigger than Crush. That song is so different and unique. Everyone I have played it for on my computer at the concerts have had a fit over it. They could not understand why that wasn’t on the album and released as a single. It is amazing!!!! Jive please please do not let anyone else release that. David is the only one that can sing it. It belongs to him and only him. Release it and set us FREE!

David was amazing! His stage presence was fantastic. He moved and jumped and danced and hunkered down through the whole concert. The funny thing is you could hardly hear Lesley over her band and I though oh no I hope we can hear David. NOT a problem. His voice filled the house. He was absolutely beautiful.
He is losing weight. Kendra since being on tour she has lost 2 pants sizes and I am sure the diet and exercise program she has David on has made him shed a few pounds. That is why his jeans don’t look quite as tight. I
know Ray said no more gifts but I know my FOD family will ignore that request so if you are getting him a tshirt I would suggest a small. All food items must be sealed from the factory.
VAJD I can NOT do it anymore but I love David so I kind of turn it down so it is just background stuff. Great on the Disney rise. They played ALTNOY on Ryan Seacrest’s show yesterday Z100 too! It really is a great song.

Candy – I can’t read the numbers here, but to respond about the strep. I knew he was sick, but didn’t realize it was strep. Why is his being sick always a secret? He is so remarkable to keep going when he is sick.

Val sorry i had aphone call. I brought the stool with me and sat on it outside hanging out with our FOD friends but put it in the car when we went into the M&G and I figured we would get up front. I could have used it if I needed to because My BFFs would have circled me and kept me from falling!! They did not check anything! Only Id to make sure we weren’t minors because they WERE serving alcohol. Not that anybody could get out of the sardine can to get a drink!!! They allowed cameras but would stop us ( felt like mainly me) when we were videoing. I held my ground and did not get squished!

Joanie I understand what you are saying but I think David wants this. That was the impression I got. He wants to be the best that he can be for us and if being on this diet will help him to achieve it he is willing to suffer through it. I am sure inbetween engagements , like before he goes to Asia he will eat what he wants. They ordered food from Jason’s deli and then dinner from Las Palapas. Foods like salads and fish and good tasting but healthy stuff. The veggie chips were all natural but tasted like chips so they scarfed them up. He is not just eating vegetables. She was so happy when she read the label and she too could eat them!! She is happy to find good tasting things that have all natural ingredients.
RobinF – Have you slept much? You had the perfect “David” experience. I really shouldn’t complain cuz I had one too, but it was 6 months ago. I’m due for another, don’t ya think?

Some of you really need to CHILL!!! Good grief, David is going to be scared to say anything, since every word out of his mouth is blown out of proportion!
I think it’s safe to say that Kendra isn’t FORCING him to eat/not eat anything. David seems to be a very disciplined person, & willing to do whatever it takes to give US the best shows possible! This means staying well! I’ve read he doesn’t eat pizza anymore, & I’m pretty sure it’s because of the cheese. Dairy is not good for singing, it creates thick mucus. It is very common for singers to cut out dairy. This isn’t unusual.
Also, even on AI, when he talked about his favorite foods in interviews, most of what he listed was fairly healthy. I mean, he said water was his favorite drink. So it probably isn’t that big of a change for him, like it would be for me:)
Also, about YEDL. Yes, Jeff has said in the past that they didn’t want YEDL on the album. BUT I feel SURE the reason the comment was made was more because Jeff wants to preserve David’s voice. David is singing A LOT of songs on this tour! Was I disappointed that he didn’t sing YEDL in OKC? YESSS!! But, I want David to take care of his voice so there will be more tours in the future!
Honestly, I think the people who take offense to Jeff & Kendra are the ones treating David like a child. He doesn’t need you to trash the people he has CHOSEN to surround himself with. He knows what he’s doing. Trust the Archuleta:)

I so LOVED the mosh pit experience, hours of standing in line, frozen toes, then sweating half to death, would I do it again…in a heart beat! Sad to say but times to be so up close and personal while David performs are going to quickly become a thing of the past! He is on his way to becoming a Major Rock Star, they found that out on this tour.

Chelsy (Chicago) your story was so wondersul. I don’t think it’s weird at all that you get emotional when you see David get emotional. I am the same way, going back to his Homecoming during Idol. Something happens to me when I see him cry, guess it’s the mom in me. And realizing that Angels still gets to him while performing it just slays me. I heard somewhere that it’s still his favorite song to perform. And EVERY time I hear it – even after listening to all his performances of it – I still get goose bumps and teary. I also related to your story of your Dad. My Dad is 83 and we watched the finale last season together (he had never heard David sing before), and after “In This Moment” he just looked at me and said “WOW!” and if you knew my father, that’s alot coming from him. so happy David got another fan!

By the looks of his schedule the next couple of months, he wont have much, if any time at home. And as a mom I can only imagine how she misses him. I, for one, am tired of people – people, not necessarily whole sites – using him for THEIR own amusement, often to HIS bewilderment. He’s NOT your plaything, and it’s NOT his fault that you think everything he does is cute & funny. It’s not fair that he walks away from a lot of these interactions confused or feeling like he missed something. Stuff like the post-its-on-his-forehead thing at one of the AI Tour after parties—that was fine! He had a fun time with it, and he understood that it was an allusion to the Crush video. But it’s NOT FUNNY to give him weird presents or make him say strange things on tape because YOU have an inside joke with your friends. I really hope everyone starts using their short time with him to give BACK to him, not force him to entertain more than he already does.

oh thanx!! and ok on thursday i woke up and my right eye was swollen shut. we assumed it was my allergies and i went to school. then on fiday when i woke up unde my left eye was red and a little swolled and my ight eye was swollen shut again, i held ice on it and it went down a little but it was still bad so mom brought me to the doctors. he said it was an allergic reaction to somethin and told me to take benidril and use this lotion stuff he gave me. so this moning when i woke up like my whole face is swollen and theres red itchy blothes all over it. ice has help it go down a little but not much. we were wondein if there was anything else we could do.

Jeff is awesome…. and there was nothing against Jeff in my post.. I didn’t want to write a novel so I just mentioned things we were told. Lupe joined the tour and hasn’t seen him live as much so naturally David was excited.. it wasn’t meant to imply that he wasn’t happy before..but come on.. that’s his MOM!!! She has promoted his dream .. heard about his performances and now she is there seeing him dancing and crazy..How special is that?? You’ve seen him.. he has been gloriously happy the entire tour.. he is doing what he wants..
David would do whatever he could to please us.. you guys know that!!!
He comes out in the rain and cold after singing his heart out and signs autographs and treats each person like they are the only one there..and he is so upbeat and cheery!
Jeff HAS to be protective of him.. of course David has a say but as Ray said when we were getting autographs.. if David gets sick.. that wrecks the tour for the rest of you that are going!! David would chatter on if he could but Ray and the other guys move him down the line… while he is still talking by the way!!
So.. Kendra didn’t mean anything.. please they are wonderful and very protective of Jeff and David.. AND… it hadn’t been requested !!!! Apparently David was surprised it was being requested.. the meet and greet girls told us he said “people like that song?”.
ALSO…. we NEVER thought he would sing it!!!!!!!!!!! we just wanted to give it our best shot.. BTW.. “—–” said (not saying who) his voice is totally back and very strong. he wouldnt’ have done it if it wasn’t..
Oh.. and Kendra is probably around a size 4…she wasn’t very big before and has gone down two pant sizes since the tour started.. Via is a size 1/2 and Kendra didn’t look much bigger than her. However.. don’t take my word for it.. this is just my observation.

Melissa we work very hard to promote David. All we want is his happiness. He has been uprooted from his family and friends and a way of life for a teenager. It must be grueling. Yes he is living his dream but at a price. To want to give him something to make him laugh is for his sake and nobody elses. The gifts that he was given were not pictured anywhere. He was not asked to open them in public. and was told ahead of time it was a joke. Just incase he didn’t get it I told Eli ahead of time so he could explain so David would be able to laugh.
