The Pink Ribbon concert in Wichita Kansas on Sept. 23, has to be one of the best concert line-ups this fall: David is on the same bill as Bruno Mars, Iyaz, the ReadySet and, of course, Natasha Bedingfield!

Allie Covers Elevator
We got the following message from Allie last night. Very cool cover! So get on over there and comment! (But don’t forget to come back here afterwards lol! I’m not done yet!)
Hey FOD! I made a video of me singing & playing guitar to “Elevator”! I love this song & after seeing it live two weeks ago I fell in love with it even more! It is amazing! I came all the way from Chicago, Illinois to go to Six Flags New England to meet David! Words can’t describe how sweet he was to me! He promises to come back to Chicago soon just for me and I talked to him for about 4 or 5 minutes during the meet & greet. He was so amazing nice to me & caring & amazed that I came so far. AND after the whole concert a lot of fans were outside by the bathroom & he walked by & when he came out everyone was asking for him to sign things & take pictures. He had security around him saying no & holding onto him & I said “David can you sing my COS?!” He turned around, pushed away his security & came up to me saying “Allie, What do you want me to sign?” Ahhh. It was amazing! But anyway, I hope all of you can check it out & comment on it & let me know what you think! (:
Footnote: If Allie can get David to come to Chicago, I’m putting in my request to her next for Toronto!

If you think this is a MDA-Telethon-centric post, it is! I was not expecting what I heard Saturday night so I gotta spend a few moments to comment on it. This part of the bridge to “Things Are Gonna Get Better” gets me every time……

How many of you felt that David was singing to you during his MDA Telethon performance Saturday nite? Yup. Me too. How does he know??? This is a perfect song for the occasion – so uplifting and inspirational. The gospel choir should have been the back up singers, imho!
Single worthy? Time will tell. I’m still not convinced Nigel was pre-empting any announcement here. But a positive song, penned by David, that I can see a great reaction to at concert time. Well done David and Georgygirl!

David definitely is a hoot, but it’s his honesty and wonder that make him so! I missed this video when it came out this summer, so if you’ve seen it before, you can pass and gain an extra 9 minutes and 6 seconds today! If not, totally worth the time investment! Credit to grapeexmagoo

What the random?
This tweet has bothered me for several days now:
A while back I remember David tweeting about folding dollar bills into animal shapes. Remember that? We were all a-twitter for days, chuckling about the randomness of making animals and stuff out of paper money. People were sending us pictures of their creations. Why do you think David randomly decided to follow up on his tweet? Did he remember that as “Unfinished Business” or something? Is he entering a Dollar Bill Folding Contest? Did something in an airport gift shop catch his eye and cause him to remember that random tweet? Is he finishing up reading a book on paper origami? Can you tell I’ve been up WAY TOO LONG cuz I didn’t want to miss The Archuleta on TV?….
